Dragon of Catastrophe

Chapter 116: I Must Kill That Dragon!

Half a month later.

Ackman Territory.

In the study of the Lord's Manor.

"Viss! Remember! Do not leave the manor recently, stay at home, understand?"

Viss's mother, sitting on a chair, spoke earnestly to her daughter.

"Mother, has something happened in the territory?"

The blonde girl, Viss, looked much better than half a month ago. She sat upright, slowly flipping through a parchment book in her hand.

The cover of this parchment book was prominently adorned with a ram's skull.

"In the past half month, I've received nearly ten cases of disappearances. The entire territory has dispatched several teams of guards patrolling day and night, yet the criminal can't be found!"

Viss's mother looked somewhat distressed.

"Perhaps it's the work of a Caster. Mother, don't you need my help?"

"Did I not just tell you? Stay at home! Don't go anywhere! I'll handle the territory's issues."

As soon as Viss's mother finished speaking, she hurriedly left.

Only Viss remained in the entire room.

She gently closed the book, a flash of black glimmered in her eyes, and she slowly stood, moving to the study's window.

She gazed out of the window from afar.

On the street below, a patrol of guards looked around with grave expressions.

Seeing this, Viss chuckled softly, her entire body enveloped in dark mist, instantly disappearing.

Nighttime.

Dozens of meters below the manor.

In the dim basement, two shadows suddenly appeared, followed by clusters of crimson flames manifesting out of thin air.

Illuminating the surroundings.

In this barely ten-square-meter cramped basement, the walls were covered with fresh blood.

On the ground, severed limbs and flesh were scattered everywhere.

The entire basement was as terrifying as an abyssal purgatory.

The stench of blood was so thick that it could make one nauseous.

A villager, wearing a hemp garment, around thirty years old, was tied to an iron pillar driven into the ground, his mouth gagged with a black cloth.

Next to him, there was another iron pillar, stained with spots of blood, but nobody was tied to it.

Upon seeing the two suddenly appearing figures, the villager's eyes were filled with extreme terror.

"Mmm! Mmm!"

He continually whimpered and struggled frantically, his lower body instantly becoming soaked, reeking of foul stench.

"Hehehe~"

Beside the two figures, a floating ram's skull silently appeared, its flame-like eyes fixed on the villager before looking to the side.

The blonde girl, Viss, expressionless, lifted another villager, skillfully tying this villager slowly to the other iron pillar.

"Viss Ackman! My choice was indeed correct! You are someone who can sacrifice everything for revenge!

It's hard to imagine how a mere human can control the quality of every soul to be above average, it is truly remarkable!

Viss Ackman! I am increasingly fond of you!"

The ram's skull emitted a continuous chilling laugh.

"Thank you for Lord Zod's appreciation, it is my honor," Viss said with a faint smile.

She casually removed the sleep magic from the newly bound villager.

This villager woke up in a daze, and upon seeing Viss, he was initially delighted, letting out a few muffled sounds, but quickly, realizing he was tied up and surrounded by a terrifying scene, he sensed something was wrong.

Viss then turned her gaze to the villager who had been here all along, and softly said:

"The souls of humans are the Demon's most delicious food. The more fear, dread, despair, and hatred, the more delectable the soul becomes.

And human souls are the easiest to manipulate and mature. All that's needed is to let them witness some interesting scenes and make them understand that they will be next…"

As Viss spoke, she gently brushed her fingers across the villager's cheek, and in his eyes, filled with terror to the point of nearly fainting, she softly asked again:

"As a mature harvest, what quality is your soul?"

Rip!

As her words fell, the villager's face was suddenly torn off!

"Aaaaah!!!!"

"Don't rush! It's just the beginning! You must slowly enjoy everything that follows! Offer the most despairing soul to the great Lord Zod Nelok!"

Rip~ Rattle~ Squish~

A series of strange sounds echoed continuously in this basement, accompanied by soft moans of attempted cries that couldn't be fully voiced.

In the end, only a skeleton remained of the villager in front of Viss.

A pitch-black soul, emitting black mist, slowly floated out from within.

This soul resembled the villager in life, but his figure was shattered, eyes hollow and bleeding continuously, with ears and nose entirely vanished!

"Kill you! Kill you! Kill you! Kill you!"

Since its appearance, this soul continuously shrieked, floating around Viss, frantically clawing at the girl.

But every contact with the girl, the soul passed right through.

And the other villager beside him was unharmed, yet his body was already drenched, his lower body a muddy mess, and he had fainted.

Just now, he had witnessed the entire process of his fellow villager being tortured.

As an ordinary person, he simply couldn't bear to look directly at it.

But Miss Viss, no! The demon named Viss would always use magic to immobilize him, forcing him to watch!

Watching how the villager next to him was tortured, then softly telling him, he would be next!

Under such enormous psychological pressure, the villager fainted several times, only to be awakened by Viss several times.
