My Ultimate Life-Stealing System Made Me Invincible

Chapter 49: Chiron's Course.

Silas's eyes fell onto Carter, who was making a disgusting face while looking at his friend's win. 'This guy isn't even happy for his friends? Or should I call them minions?'

The announcer's voice boomed loudly through the speakers. "The winner of the second match is Carl."

Silas took his hand to his mouth as he yawned. 'It's time for the third match, mine is after this.'

He looked at Ragnar, who was lying silently in his lap. His hand reached to his head as he patted him. 'Should I go outside for a while to pass the time, or should I take one more lecture of Chiron?'

[Host, why don't you learn from Chiron?]

Silas's eyes widened slightly as he scratched the back of his neck. 'Why are you suggesting that?'

[Host, you have to fight a couple of times today, and your opponents are stronger than you.]

[Don't you think you should do all six techniques and increase the learning process and acquire that skill?]

Silas's eyes looked down at Ragnar as a small sigh escaped through his mouth, voice came low. "Here we go again, the money is about to fly away from my bank account." He muttered under his breath.

He lifted his head slightly. 'Okay, let's do it then.'

[Initialising the course.]

[Continuing the course: Chiron's Course -> The Art of the Six Senses.]

The screen panel in front of Silas's eyes switched to a panel which was reflecting a screen.

Inside the screen was a wide field of bright green grass. Tall trees were swaying gently with the air, and a small wooden house with smoke rising from the chimney. Birds hopped around from one tree to another without any kind of fear.

Silas's eyes were fixated on the screen. Slowly, the camera shifted towards Chiron.

Chiron was standing with his hands crossed next to his chest, eyes slightly closed.

His eyes opened when he sensed the presence of Silas, his voice coming out. "Oh? You have progressed a lot since the last time."

A small smile curled up on Silas's lips as he said. "Yeah..."

Chiron's voice came right after. "Let's start right away and not waste any more of our time, yeah?"

Chiron picked a stick from the ground and looked at Silas again. "The Fourth Sense: Sense of Danger."

He took a small pause, then a smirk curled up on his lips as he flicked his fingers and said. "Just live."

The surroundings of Silas changed, and his soul travelled to a new location.

His body remained back in the mortal realm, and his soul was now in a room that was just a blank space.

Chiron's voice rang in his ears once again. "Fight and live and survive."

Many holograms appeared in the room, circling him.

Silas gulped and pulled his sword out of its sheath, and shook his head once. 'Here we go again.'

He dashed forward, slashing the first hologram, and a smirk curled up on his lips.

But when he looked back, the hologram regenerated. A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead to his neck.

The fight broke down between them. There were a total of three holograms; Silas was circled by them.

The holograms were of the same size. They were using the same techniques.

A small smirk curled up on Chiron's lips as he said. "You're holding yourself really well, like this, you'll not learn." He took a small pause, then continued. "So, let's make a change."

The holograms started to take the shape of something.

Silas gulped as his eyes widened. "Why the fuck are they changing into snow elves?"

[Host, Chiron shifted their working state.]

[They evolved and got a skill: They can change their shape into something that was your strongest enemy.]

A vein popped up on Silas's forehead. 'Very well, so informative.'

Silas didn't waste any time and used his skill.[Skill: Silent Snowstep – A Rank]

Silas's body shifted on its own and appeared behind the first hologram, which had now changed into a snow elf archer.

He swung his sword into a vertical slash, but the other archer hit his sword with an arrow.

Silas jumped backwards as he used his other skill.[Skill: Piercing Thrust]

His speed became ten times faster than his usual speed, and he appeared in front of the other archer.

The archers shot Silas's afterimage, which allowed Silas to fool them. He swung his sword and slashed the chest of the hologram as he used his other skill.[Skill: Piercing Thrust]

His wrist twisted slightly as he drove his blade straight into the chest of the hologram, making it disappear.

But before Silas could even move to the next one, the snow elf swordsman was already in front of him.

The swordsman swung its sword, which almost hit Silas.

He suddenly felt tightness in his chest. He didn't see the swordsman.

But he felt it.

The pressure of its presence. The space beside his ribs ccisisprcompressinginstinctive pull in his gut screaming—

MOVE.

His body moved on its own, and he swung his sword and drove it straight through the swordsman's neck.

A smile curled up on Chiron's lips as he flicked his finger. "Congrats on learning the new sense."

The surroundings shifted back to normal, and his soul travelled back to his body. His eyes were still fixated on the screen.

Chiron's voice came once again. "The Fourth Sense: Sense of Intent (Reading Hostility)."

Silas's surroundings changed as he got placed between multiple people. They were being nice to him, laughing together, talking.

Some of them were harmless, and some wanted to kill him.

Chiron told him only one thing: "Don't look at faces. Feel the pressure."

Silas failed repeatedly at first, trusted smiles, and ignored calm voices.

Then, slowly, he felt that the pressure in the air became heavier than usual. His skin tightened slightly, and the mana distorted.

Chiron nodded when Silas reacted correctly.

"Intent always leaks."

His surroundings went back to normal, and then Chiron's voice came again. "The Sixth Sense: Sense of Presence (Domain Awareness)."

He took a small pause, then continued, eyes staring at Silas. "This sense is the most advanced one. It's the ability to feel everything that exists within a space."

Chiron scanned Silas completely and continued. "This sense is used by kings and top-tier monsters to dominate the room."

"You won't learn this from me.""You will learn it when something stronger walks into the room… and you survive."

He took a small pause, and a small smirk curled up on his lips. "So, this was the last session. If karma allows us to meet someday, then we will."

The screen in front of Silas faded into thin air.
