My Ultimate Life-Stealing System Made Me Invincible

Chapter 50: Silas's match.

The screen in front of Silas faded into thin air.

The announcer's voice came roaring through the speakers. "Now it's finally time for our next match."

He took a small pause and then continued. "Fourth match of the day: Silas Veil (B-Rank) VS Caleb Grant (B-Rank)"

A small smile was tucked up on Silas's lips, fists clenched slightly as he grabbed the sword of his, which was kept on the seat next to him. 'Let's test out the new skill and increase its proficiency.'

He got up from the seat and patted Ragnar once as his voice came out low. "Be a good boy and don't run off anywhere, okay?"

Ragnar just gave a small howl.

Silas turned towards the door that led to the match arena; his eyes had a feeling of seriousness in them. He started walking; his steps were slow, and it felt as if he was too calm.

When he entered the arena, his opponent, Caleb, was already in the match, standing in front of him.

Caleb was wearing stone gauntlets os both hands, his body was buff, arms were fully ripped. It felt like he could crush any mountain with just a single punch.

Silas looked at him, extended his hand slightly as his voice came out. "Hope we have a great match, yeah?"

Caleb ignored the greeting and said. "Just fight me already, Silas Veil. I saw how you got the special treatment, you're just a bastard who's using nepotism."

A small chuckle escaped from Silas's mouth as he kept his finger on his lips to control his voice. "Ah, I'm sorry about my rudeness."

Veins on Caleb's forehead popped out; he smacked the knuckles of both hands together. "You find it funny?"

Silas's smile faded away, the expression of seriousness appeared on his face. "Absolutely not, but the way you called me someone who's using nepotism was genuinely funny."

The announcer's voice came through the speakers again. "And the match begins now."

Caleb didn't waste a single second; he pushed his feet into the ground and jumped up in the air.

When he was in the air, he pushed himself forward and stomped on Silas. A huge explosion occurred inside the arena, and the stage was filled with dust.

When the dust started to fade away slightly, Silas wasn't there. But the tiles where Caleb had just landed had broken into small pieces.

Silas's cheek was lightly brushed by Caleb's impact. "Tch."

He unsheathed his sword as he dashed forward towards Caleb. "This guy is a bit aggressive type."

Caleb had also sprinted towards Silas, one of his hands was in front of his face and was ready to strike Silas.

When they both came up front, Silas swung his sword in a horizontal slash, intending to slash his stomach in a straight line.

But, right before the blade could make an impact with Caleb's body, he guarded with both fists, and the blade landed onto his gauntlets.

A huge spark erupted when the stone and metal collided with each other; the sparks went into Silas's eyes.

'Fucking hell... I can't see.'

Silas didn't have any time to think; Caleb had already made his way towards him once again.

When Caleb reached near Silas, he started to hit him with a barrage of fists. The fists were fast, and the intent to hurt him was mixed into them.

Silas moved his sword on instinct, barely managed to block most of them. But a few of the hits landed on his body.

He jumped backwards as he created a little bit of distance between them. He coughed as he kept his hand on his ribcage, where he got hit.

"Damn... he isn't even letting me take a single breath." He muttered under his breath as he tried to open his eyes, but his eyelids didn't listen to him.

Caleb had already closed the distance between them. Silas was lost in his own mind while another barrage of hits came through.

He got hit several times and wasn't able to block any of them because of a lack of attention.

Caleb threw a punch to his gut, which was followed by another jab to his jaw and then came a cross to his ribs.

He fell onto his knees, a cough came out of his mouth, and a little bit of saliva was also mixed into it.

Caleb grabbed him through his hair and pulled him u, and a sad Voice came out loud. "I despise nepo bastards like you; you all should just die and leave the spot for the deserving hunters."

His eyes were still closed, but a small smile curled up on his lips as his fists tightened slightly.

As pain shot through his body, Chiron's training surfaced on its own—not as words, but as instinct. The moment fear should've taken over, his body remembered what survival felt like.

He remembered the form of the senses which he learned; he had now learned the advanced and the final sense.

Caleb was about to hit him with a punch straight onto his face, but before his fist made contact with him.

His head moved in the opposite direction of the blow, dodging it completely.

Eyes were still closed, but the only thing that was controlling his body now was his pure instinct.

Caleb's eyes widened slightly. He punched Silas again and kept punching.

His head was moving at the same speed as Caleb's punches, dodging them completely.

Caleb got frustrated as a roar came through his mouth. "What the fuck is happening?"

Silas's hand moved up in the air as it swung slightly and hit Caleb's head with the sword's hilt.

The grip of Caleb onto his hair loosened slightly, and he fell onto the ground.

Silas got up on his two feet, grip on his sword's hilt tightened a little, and a smirk curled up on his lips. "I finally got a glimpse of it."
