Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates

Chapter 111: Hannah

Jimmy's home tribe was under a lot of stress. Losing loved ones, such as husbands, boyfriends, fathers, mothers, and even young children in a hunt, all within a week was so sudden to the point where it was paralyzing!

People were in grief, people were sad, and furthermore, the first cases of depression were introduced within the tribe, as they mourned the deaths of their loved ones. Without even a body to bury, or burn, the sense of longing they felt was difficult to handle.

A widowed woman, named Hannah, who lost both her man, and her young teenage boy in the massacres of the Giant's Ditch, felt as if her world was closing in. She had walked outside of her home, and stood at the edge of the main walk way. In front of her was a three-hundred meter, or nearly a thousand foot drop, that led all the way to the bottom of the rocky mountain.

At forty-three years old, and in good health, death might be too far away to occur for her naturally. She was numb from all the pain, numb from the crying, and so as she looked at the large elevation drop, she considered if she should end it all. If she should end her life-draining emotional pain now, rather than suffering with it through many moons.

"Who am I to live for?" She whispered to herself. "I have no man, no son, no grandson, nothing! Why should I live?"

Hannah was convinced to jump, she wanted to end it all today, but then, she got distracted by this loud crash, followed by an array of horrid screeching, and yelling!

Concerned, she ran a few steps towards the sound, or more specifically, towards where the dinosaurs rested, and figured out what was going on. She saw that a big, flying dinosaur had crash landed. She recognized this dinosaur as Anna's pet, but when she saw Jimmy close by, she didn't bother to approach them. She didn't have the strength to deal with this right now.

It was a good choice not to get involved, because the dinosaur, Jimmy, and Zik took off moments later, towards the tip of the rocky mountain. Ever since she was a child, she had been told to steer clear of the tip, as it was impassable, so it shall not be passed, or even approached, and in this case, if she had gotten close to the priorly wounded dinosaur, she could have been taken along to what she considered a flight of no return.

This was when she realized that she valued her life. If she didn't want to die somewhere in the impassable mountain range, she also didn't want to die at the bottom of the rocky mountain, where any random animal may then feast on her flesh.

Confused, Hannah muttered, "Why do I feel this way? How am I protecting my life, the life that I hate so much?"

Hannah thought about this for a couple of minutes, and steered clear of the edge. She wanted to get her head together, at least enough to make a sensible decision. Live or die, she wanted to decide on it today, and never look back.

But then, something caught her eye. One-hundred meters, or over three-hundred feet away, she saw a bunch of people that she did not recognize. Well, they were too far away to recognize, but the point was that there were shy of a hundred of them, and they were climbing up the mountain, using the steel-coated path to their advantage. They were not her people.

Hannah was suspicious towards them, but she tried to keep her spirits up. She was hoping that these people were friendly.

Half a minute later, they started hurling spears towards her. She saw the spears flicker across the sky, and in that moment, a moment that seemed like an eternity, she decided that she wanted to die, but not as a victim. She wanted to die as a hero!

Hannah had Dinosaur Strength, and she has developed her magical abilities a lot faster than anyone else ever did. If the peers of her age could throw a spear a hundred meters far, she could throw it three hundred meters, and so on. She was at least three times ahead of anyone who had Dinosaur Strength, and in a tribe where this was the most common magical ability, it was beyond impressive to be ahead of everyone else.

When a power becomes too common, people start blending in within the crowd at some point, and everyone seems the same. She progressed by constantly pushing her magic, and her luck to the limits, and today, she had to push them to the limit one more time!

She sprinted forward, roughly at 30 mp/h, or 48 km/h, straight towards the enemy! She used her Dinosaur Strength to run as fast as she possibly could, and halfway there, she grabbed one of the many spears that had missed her, and hurled it towards the enemy while she was still sprinting!

The spear flew at such great speeds that it pierced through five men, even though the tip of the spear had broken off two ribcages ago! She was making progress, but since she didn't have enough spears to kill nearly a hundred other people by herself, she initiated the next step of her plan.

"You want to go after women and children, huh?!" She winced, and then leaped towards the sky. "Ambushing people in their home?!"

Hannah had used the momentum of her sprinting to jump as high as possible, and so she jumped twenty meters above the ground, or nearly a hundred feet upwards! This was impressive, even for her, because she had never jumped this high before!

She knew that she could if she wanted to, but her body wasn't exactly indestructible, so in the past, she feared that she'd break every bone of her body if she jumped this high, because the ground wasn't soft or accommodating. Today, she didn't have such fears!

Hannah had calculated her jump, and aimed to slam her body against the only known weak spot of the steel-coated path, a spot that the hunters always avoided when they crossed the path. Even she remembered avoiding it in her youth, when she used to be a hunter, as the ground was loose at that spot, and could collapse at any time!

Today, that dreaded spot was meant to save her people!

Seconds later, Hannah slammed her body against the ground, and felt the path shake! The enemy was several meters away, so they'd already been putting pressure on the vulnerable part of the pathway, but when she slammed her body on it, it started to collapse!

Several people fell to their death seconds later, and the path collapsed so quickly, so violently, that it took with it parts of the path that hadn't even been vulnerable!

The entire platoon of the enemy started falling to their doom, without discrimination. Hannah was falling too, but as she watched her life flash before her eyes, she noticed something weird.

"Why can I still move my arms?" She asked herself, and then she tightened her fist, and saw that her hands were somehow still functional. "What?"
