"Thanks for telling me," He said, and then he grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer. "I won't ask you about your magic again."

With little effort, he coaxed Nechi to sit on his lap. He didn't intend to have sex with her again, at least not tonight, but he just wanted to comfort her, and feel her warmth on his chest.

Jimmy didn't get information about the things that he cared most about, so he just gave up for now. Other than that, the topic about these 'inner circles' frustrated him even more, but he guessed that he had to live with it for a while.

Frustrations aside, he was appreciative of Nechi's help. She helped make sense of this world, with information that may even help him survive in the future. She was a gem who deserved appreciation.

Nechi appeared to be a Necromancer. Judging from what she described, her 'unique magic' was of a branch which most people would despise, but in this era, she had flexibility.

She was even praised by some, as she gave families a chance to say their goodbyes with their dead loved ones. Her people didn't understand her magic, on the count of the general secrecy surrounding it, but they didn't care to understand it. Nechi was revered by the common folk, regardless of how young she was, and regardless of how necromancy was inherently dark.

Necromancy was inherently dark, but it was unlikely that she practiced the extremes of Necromancy, such as making human sacrifices to coax greater entities. She was too nice for that.

Furthermore, cavemen weren't exactly known for their spirituality, not to mention dark spirituality. Even if the greater minds of this tribe practiced meditation, and spirituality, it was unlikely for them to understand what they were dealing with, and practiced it for the calming effects that meditation provided, as it switched places of the conscious, and unconscious mind.

With that considered, she was the very definition of a golden retriever woman, who was cursed with wielding dark magic that she absolutely despised. She considered herself unlucky.

Anyway, Jimmy stopped bugging her when he hit the bedrock of information gathering. He knew that Nechi couldn't help him any further, so it was best to stop bugging her about heavy topics.

For the sake of his mental wellbeing, he pushed a couple more questions about the relations between them, rather than magic. After a bit of digging around their blood relations, he figured out that they were second cousins, which gave him a bit of inner peace.

Sure, it was still bad that they had sex, but they weren't exactly at risk of producing disabled babies. Charles Darwin was on the fence on this one.

Regarding babies, he also asked if the two of them had any kids of their own. This was where he almost shat himself, as he expected the worse, but Nechi gave him some peace, and assured them that they didn't have any kids.

This was a surprise, as they were both young, at a fertile age, and had apparently been humping each other like rabbits for the past few months, but he chose not to challenge this fact. He was happy, because other than being uncomfortable about having kids with his second cousin, he was also not ready to be a father. He was eighteen in this body, he was almost young enough to be considered a kid, so fatherhood would be a true challenge.

Anyway, the two of them fell asleep in each other's arms, and spent the night that way. After figuring out what blood relations he had with her, he was more comfortable to be sensual with her.

It was difficult to not crave the touch of an attractive woman, and it was especially difficult for him on the count of how much she helped him today. He might not love her, not in the way that she loved him, but he cared enough about her to crave to provide her comfort. He wasn't a monster, after all.

The next day, they woke up an hour after the break of dawn, helped each other stand up, and walked away from this tunnel with the steel door in it. They held onto each other as they walked away, in a sort of a half-hug, with their arms around each other's waists.

The two of them walked back to the common area of the Cavern, where they saw the tens of tribesmen and women minding their daily business. It was apparent that no one even cared about the affection that Jimmy and Nechi showed towards each other, and this wasn't a surprise.

In an isolated tribe like this, where getting pregnant with immediate cousins was normal, the relationship that Jimmy and Nechi had was even revered.

These people weren't biologists, they were unaware of evolution in its entirety, but after enough trial and error, even they had figured out that banging cousins had a chance of giving them babies that either died quickly, or were disabled. The math was as simple as it was complicated.

They mated with close cousins out of necessity, not preference, so when they saw second cousins, such as Jimmy and Nechi being sensual, they tried to mind their business, and even revered them. They expected healthy babies out of them, babies that they could train to contribute to their tribe.

Anyway, Jimmy and Nechi eventually met with Anna, and things got awkward very quickly. He expected this.

"Anna!" Nechi shrieked, and leaped over for a hug. "How are you doing, sister? Have you slept well?"

Nechi was happy, so of course, she radiated joy to everyone around her, especially towards those that she considered close. However, she also put both Anna and Jimmy through the ringer with her joy and glee. They were panicking.

"Sister?" He repeated.

After letting go of her, Nechi put her arm around Anna's shoulders, and said, "Yes, this is my younger sister, Anna. You have to remember her, I hear she brought you back alive from that hunt, where you hit your head?"

"Yes, we're sisters." Anna said, though it was obvious that she was angry, and in panic at the same time. "Did you two have fun last night, in your private cave?"

Other than being busted, Jimmy was stunned for words. Other than Anna being his second cousin as well, she was also the sister of Nechi, the same woman he had power-railed yesterday evening.

This complicated things beyond measure. He was sure that he just lost any chance to develop a sensual relationship with Anna, which broke his heart a little bit.

At last, he decided to double down on his stupid decisions, and said, "Yeah, we had fun. But she also helped me remember a lot of things, important things, very important."

Jimmy tried to excuse his actions as 'information seeking' methods, and Anna picked up on that, despite his slurred speech, but she didn't want to hear it. She was pissed, and simply walked away.
