"Our wounds healed, but let's hope our immune systems are strong enough to fight possible infections. Your penis is useful, but it might not be able to fight the infections we might have gotten." Anna pointed out, from a worrisome, analytical stance. "Right?"
"I have no idea, honestly." He admitted. "Let's hope for the best."
The discovery that Jimmy made, was as helpful as it was horrifying. He figured out that he could help people, he could help them heal, but only if they agreed to stroke his shaft.
He needed a connection of that degree if he was to help someone heal. The connection didn't have to be intimate, as Anna had so graciously proved, but for reasons that he could not fathom, he could only help people if they helped him masturbate.
This was a blessing, and a curse, because sure, he could offer health to people, he could help them, which was a noble job. However, he could only imagine how awkward the situation might be if a man ever got hurt, or worse yet, an old man, or an old woman.
The awkward silence as they stroked his tentacle of a penis would be deafening. It would be especially embarrassing post ejaculation.
Jimmy had thought about the possibilities, such as the ones above, and he was convinced that he'd be embarrassed to death in almost every situation where people needed his help. His penis was the cure to the common dinosaur bites, and the gods knew what else, and he was given the destiny to cure those in need.
'Is this that god's idea of punishment?' He thought. 'He wants to punish me by having old people stroke my shit? I gotta say, that's creative, but there has to be a more mature response to being busted on.'
Regarding the possibility that other humans roamed this world, Jimmy and Anna decided to figure out if there was any truth to it. Sure he didn't want to be known as the Jack of all Trades when it came to health, but in this chaotic era, he began to yearn for a sense of community. He wanted to be around other humans, and so did Anna.
"We woke up with spears near us, they're our spears, obviously, but maybe someone else made them for us?" Anna pointed out. "It's obvious that we reincarnated, or something like that. We woke up in perfectly functional, seemingly 18 year old bodies, and you know what this means, right?"
Nodding along, he added, "Yeah, someone helped them become 18 years old. Someone gave birth to us, raised us, so yeah, it's very possible that we'll run into more humans."
Their logic was sound, so they decided to follow it. However, traveling in dinosaur infested lands was dangerous, so they could quite likely die today if they crossed paths with the wrong dinosaur.
Jimmy had a pistol of a penis, sure, but he needed a one-minute warm up in order to use it. With that considered, it was unlikely that huge, carnivorous dinosaurs would sit still, and wait for him to blow his load. His penis was dangerous, or in this case, useful, under very specific circumstances.
With the dangers considered, the two of them started exploring their options. They had to be strategic about their exploration efforts.
Anna had a pair of strong legs on her, so she jumped twelve feet into the air, or nearly four meters, right out of the canal that the two of them were in. She wanted a better view of what was around them.
There wasn't much to see once she got up there. Most of the trees around her were gigantic, and barely had any branches close to the ground. The branches were at the top of the trees.
"Right," She held her head. "Even trees evolved to avoid the dinosaurs."
The trees pointed out that they were in a giant forest of sorts, but that was about it. Other than a few dinosaurs in the distance, of species that she could not recognize from here, there was nothing else to see.
Anna was hoping to spot anything that appeared man-made, even if it was a simple leaf-coated hut, but there was nothing like that close by. Their sense of direction remained inexistent.
Irritated, she jumped back in the canal, and asked, "You can't start a fire with your penis, can you? We could use a signal fire. Humans have a tendency to follow smoke."
"Sorry, but that's not how my powers work." He shook his head, slightly irritated. "I'm assuming that you didn't see anything useful up there, so, Plan B?"
"Yeah, we gotta go with Plan B." She nodded. "Let's follow this canal and see where it takes us."
The goal they had was obvious. They wanted to find other humans, but if this reinforced canal led to some advanced building that they could use as shelter, that would be even better than finding other humans, because they knew that they would at least survive the night.
Dusk was approximately five hours away, so they had to move fast. Other than everything else, time was also working against them.
The two of them followed the canal southwards, and noticed a slow drop of elevation as they walked. This gave them a bit of relief, because they just knew that the forest, at high elevation, was the worst place they could be at.
Apex predators were more likely to roam the higher elevations, especially in a forest. The humongous, Brachiosaurus herbivore that walked above their heads when they first woke up here, was a clear indicator that large carnivorous predators also roamed the area.
Anyway, two hours into their hike, they reached what at first, appeared to be the end of the canal.
There was a huge drop of elevation below them, perhaps three-hundred meters high, or close to a thousand feet, which for sure promised death if they slipped, and fell.
From up here, they could see a huge chunk of the fauna below them. A large river, and lakes of medium sizes were riddled across the ground, right past the rocky mountainous terrain of the elevation drop.
Other than a few dinosaurs in the sky, they could also see some large dinosaurs roaming across the lands, in small herds. It was beautiful.
The beauty of the fauna might be the only thing that made this world tolerable, but even Anna who was a huge fan of this era, inwardly knew that she'd get sick of this place very soon. The dangers outweighed the benefits at a large scale.
Anyway, they then discovered that the canal continued to their left. It was carved into the mountainside, and the steel beams held the canal together.
It was best to call it a carved path at this point, because the wide opening to their right ultimately defeated the point of what a canal was for.
The two of them followed this path, and minutes later, perhaps one-hundred meters, or more than three-hundred feet in front of them, they saw something that appeared human!
