"What the fuck?" Jimmy said under his breath.
A lot of things have happened these past couple of days. There was a lot to comprehend.
Jimmy was attacked, and practically bitch slapped by a mystery ghost last night, but when he thought about it, that wasn't as confusing as what he saw now. He would know.
There was an Argentinousaurus in front of them, idling by. This species was regarded as the largest dinosaurs in any era, for one thing, but what they saw in front of him was perhaps the biggest Argentinosaurus of its entire species! It was definitely bigger than the reverend Blue Whale, otherwise known as the biggest animal to ever exist back on Earth!
Anna knew this, she was very aware, so she couldn't help but hold her mouth in shock. She was speechless!
Its size wasn't the most surprising part. What rendered everyone speechless, was Zik.
Zik slowly climbed down from the Argentinousaurus' leg, and then he slapped its leg a couple of times, thanking it. He didn't approach the group, but instead, he crossed his arms, and leaned back on the beast's foot, smirking.
From a distance, he looked like a marshmallow in front of a campfire, but he was hardly embarrassed. In a way, he was showing his dominance over everyone. He had achieved the impossible, and he damn well knew this.
"Yup," Jimmy finally spoke, and sighed, confused, "He tamed Rampage."
"Hahaha!" Cika laughed out loud, and then started running towards Zik, and his new pet. "Zik!"
She jumped in his arms, hugged him, and grabbed him by the crotch afterwards. She didn't care if anyone was looking, she was too excited to care.
"I missed you, stupid!" She said, "Is this where you've been? You went after Rampage?"
"I did far more than that," He answered, and then waved his hand in front of his nose, so as to fight a specific stench.
Zik pointed at Rampage's thick claws afterwards. They were painted with blood, the blood of enemies, certainly.
"We killed four giants on our way here," He said, with the widest smirk on his face that a man could have. "They didn't know what hit them, hehe."
Before Cika could react properly, she then heard a few voices that she didn't entirely recognize. The voices came from above her, they were young, soft, and excited.
Seconds later, all the way up from Rampage's back, someone called her name, "Auntie Cika, up here! Will you hurry up? We wanna go home!"
"You found them?!" She shrieked, and started jumping around in excitement as if she was a child herself. "Where!?"
"The edge of the forest, way back there on the other side, really." He answered, and then asked, "It took me forever to find you, but I figured this was the last place you'd look before heading on home."
"Anna found some survivors. She found Hilda, Joku, Ron, and the rest of the pricks you just chased away." She said, "They were going to try and kill us, take our dinosaurs, and head for the hills down there."
"Treacherous bastards!" He grunted. "No wonder they wouldn't stop! I was screaming my lungs out calling for them, but they didn't want to hear it, they kept running."
"They're not stupid," She said, "They knew you were going to feed them to Rampage as soon as you figured them out."
Anyway, as the two of them caught up, the rest of the team walked over to fulfill the reunion. Of course, they convinced their pet dinosaurs to continue sleeping first, but the team did eventually get together with Zik, the only man around here who went by the beat of his own drum.
Anna may not be as excited to see Zik, but she was the most curious person in the bunch for sure. Essentially, she was looking at an Argentinosaurus that was at least thirty-percent bigger than the rest of its species!
Head to toe, Rampage was thirty meters tall, or nearly a hundred feet tall!
From his head to his tail, Rampage was sixty meters long, or nearly two hundred feet long! No other dinosaur could top that, not under natural circumstances, at least.
It was difficult to predict his weight, but judging from the fact that he was thirty percent bigger than the rest of his species, his weight shouldn't be anywhere below 170 tonnes, or 187 US tons!
Rampage was an absolute unit, a freak of nature! Mother nature didn't support his existence, gravity certainly wasn't supposed to, and yet here he was, present, and as healthy as a newborn beaver!
Jimmy was almost deafened by Rampage's heartbeat. It was too loud, too great, so he was the last to join the group, just so he wouldn't go insane while he comprehended Rampage's huge heartbeat, and blood flow. It already tired him out, and nearly pushed his powers to another breakthrough, but he managed to calm himself down.
There were a lot of things to catch up on. It would be impossible to summarize them in one question, or one answer, it just wouldn't happen.
However, as soon as Zik saw Jimmy, he simplified things. He wanted to help everyone else calm down a little bit too.
He said, "Hey there, kid. Me and Rampage found common grounds last night. Three giants were stupid enough to try and corner him. When he knocked them down, like he was supposed to, I made my move, and slit their throats."
Furthermore, he added, "Rampage saw me help, and he liked it, so we became friends. He's tamed now, kind of?"
"He's definitely not tamed," Jimmy shook his head, after he briefly read through parts of Rampage's massive brain. "But he does respect you, a lot, so congratulations, I suppose? You befriended the single, largest dinosaur to ever exist."
Jimmy then looked at Anna, just in case he was wrong about his last statement, but she backed him up silently. She simply nodded.
"Thanks," Zik said, "Having him as a friend is better than him kissing my feet. He's very helpful, he's smart, and oh, I also saved about sixteen younglings back in the forest while I was looking for him. So Rampage hasn't only saved our tribe, he's gonna help us make the grasslands safe again, one dead giant after the other. I mean, the lands will be as safe as they can be with other giant predators running around."
Their mission ended there. They found every hunter who had survived the massacre that the giants inflicted upon the tribe.
Six hunters fled, and the team decided not to kill them. Even if another tribe got confident and tried to invade them, the team had a strong dinosaur armada protecting them now, especially with Rampage on their side. Rampage could wipe out an entire tribe himself if he wanted to, so the grasslands were relatively safe from invasions.
Along with Jimmy, Anna, and Nechi included, the tribe had twenty-four hunters at their disposal. It wasn't as great as the ninety hunters they used to have, and they were that much weaker since they lost all of the elders with special magic two days ago, elders who used to come along in hunts and defuse large threats, but regardless of that, their numbers were still good enough now.
The tribe was vulnerable when it came to numbers, but with ten pet dinosaurs to their side, they could just as well keep up with the amount of food that the ninety hunters used to provide. The tribe won't starve.
However, they were still vulnerable to invasions from other tribes, so Jimmy wanted to get ahead of it. He wanted to tame a few more QTs, like the pet that Anna has, just so they'd have eyes from the sky, so they could prepare for an invasion ahead of time if one was to come.
With Field Runnels who have simply disappeared, who had likely left the grasslands two days ago, the chances of being invaded were high, regardless if he had the recent six treacherous hunters killed or not. He spared them today, because he wanted to kill them in the future, where their defeat would hurt the traitors a lot more.
Other tribes will try to invade the grasslands sooner or later, there was no stopping it now, but he wanted to inflict a victory so devastating against them, so gruesome, that it would send a message to the other tribes who might want to try their luck! He had to make an example out of one tribe, as this was the best way to keep the peace in the long run.
'Let them come,' He smirked.
