As Serena saw that Celrean was looking elsewhere, she turned to whisper in Eiravyn's ear, for only him to hear.

"Eiravyn, who is he?" Serena asked, her bright blue eyes filled with curiosity as she waited for his answer. She noticed that he too had red eyes just like Caspian and Eiravyn. Does all vampire have red eyes? Serena wondered.

"That is my most prestigious military general; His name is Celrean." Eiravyn responded, as he signaled to Celrean to come closer.

"Come over here, Celrean, and don't act like a statue, introduce yourself to my mate." Eiravyn ordered.

Celrean's cold eyes widened in realization as his gaze finally landed on Serena, his sharp stare made Serena squirm in her spot as she felt uncomfortable under his watchful gaze.

"Do pardon my insolent Your Majesty." Celrean finally opened his mouth before he turn to bow at Serena, "You're welcome Your Highness." His words were curt and he didn't say much after that, Serena noticed, compared to Caspian who was chatty, this man looked like the colder version, his gaze was prim and sharp, not lingering, not straining for too long.

It took her a moment before she realized that he too was addressing her as your highness, is this how she would be addressed from now on, Serena wondered. I guess I have to get used to it after all, she muttered to herself.

Serena was trying to compare his distinct features with Eiravyn's when suddenly, Eiravyn yanked her, pulling her attention back to him.

"What did I tell you about staring at other men little kitten, it seems you really liked my punishment the other time and you want more." He said, smiling ruefully. Serena didn't flinch at his words this time, instead her face heated up because she finally knew the meaning of his words.

Serena blushed hard, "I'm sorry…I was only trying to…" Serena was about to say when she heard a loud masculine voice coming from behind her.

"Home sweet home! Your highness, you're welcome to the Dark Shade Kingdom, where the sun shines from the east, if you know what I mean…" Caspian announced loudly from the back, chuckling as he finished his sentence, causing Serena to turn back as she wondered when he got there and how he got there, either way she was grateful for the distraction and she was glad he arrived at the right time to get Eiravyn's attention away from her.

It was then Serena finally observed the shadowy forest they were currently standing in, through which the road snaked through,

Eiravyn leaned in slightly to whisper in Serena's ear, "don't think we're down here, Kitten." He said with a smug smile plastered on his face before he turn to the rest of the group,

"Since we're all here, let's head out." Eiravyn ordered.

Caspian gaze shifted to look at Celrean, "look who we have here, it's the kingdom's most cherished knight, come and give big daddy some sugar." Caspian said with his hands stretched widely for a hug, but the cold-looking man swiftly maneuvered away from him making him hug thin air.

Caspian could only click his tongue, as he released a breath, "nobody wants me here." Caspian muttered while pouting his lips, but Celrean didn't spare him any glance.

He moved to open the car door for Eiravyn and did the same for Serena completely ignoring Caspian, he moved to the driver's seat when Caspian suddenly called to him,

"Hey buddy, what about me?" Caspian asked him, playfully smirking.

"You better get in the car or I'd leave you here."Celrean said sharply,

"You're just like your king, you cold hearted man." Caspian muttered to himself.

They sat in the car as Celrean took the driver's seat automatically. Serena and Eiravyn were both seated at the back of the car, with Caspian seated in the passenger's seat beside Celrean.

When Eiravyn suddenly brought out a food bag and offered it to Serena.

"You should eat this." Eiravyn said as he started unfolding the wraps in the bag and brought out 5 different homemade dishes.

"I got this made specially for you by one of the most fantastic chef in my kingdom." Eiravyn said as he gave Serena the unfolded food container.

The stress and her eagerness to finally see the vampire kingdom couldn't allow her enjoy the wonderful aroma of the food that was being placed right in front of her.

Instead Serena observed the road they were currently taking,

"Slow down the car." Eiravyn ordered Celrean when he noticed his mate was more interested in looking at the road and the houses as the car passed through the town.

"This is Darkshade trade." Eiravyn said, "every single person living and working in this town belongs to the Dark Shade Kingdom. This is what the human's call the market, as this is where every commoner in this kingdom gets their things from."

Serena nodded in understanding, her eyes shinning with curiosity while she observed the residential buildings with beautiful backyards that gradually turned into densely packed two-story building.

She couldn't help but marvel at the sight of people going on with their daily activities, what really struck her the most was that they looked totally human, if not for the fact they all had red eyes, they could easily pass as humans, Serena thought as her gaze was fixed on a young boy who was being pulled by his mother, he noticed her stare as he stopped and bared his fangs at her while glaring at her, Serena flinched away from the window, with her heart beating wildly in her chest at the sudden transformation.

"What is the matter?" Eiravyn asked, as he noticed his mate turned still in her seat.

"No…nothing…" Serena stuttered out as she placed her hands on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart, it wasn't that she was scared, it was just the sudden transformation that caught her off guard.
