Ember smiled. "I guess you're most curious about this." It was later revealed by the high priest that he is a pure-blood, despite the fact that he is mixed-bred. King Eiravyn's blood is the purest among all vampires with pure-blood lineage, leaving everyone in shock, especially does who doubted him.

Serena pressed her lips into a line while she fought with the urge to scream. How goood it would have been if the high-priest revealed all this in the beginning - Eiravyn might not have gone through a lot just to prove himself.

Ember didn't say more, since she was not sure of how much she could reveal. She turned to Serena, "now that you know, I suggest you tread carefully - not everyone that treats you nicely is an ally to you here."

Ember gauged the young girl's reaction, wondering if she was the kind of girl who'd feel fear when a situation is thrown at her. But so far, so good - she appeared brave and confident in herself which the woman couldn't help but praise.

"Okay then, I'll take my leave - I can see that you must be exhausted and would like to rest." Ember words cut through Serena's thought, and even before Serena could reply, the lady was already gone, making her way back down the stairs like she was never there in the first place.

Serena tried to call to her but she was already gone. She realized that she didn't even know the girl's name, and she had not properly thanked her.

She thought that everyone she met so far had been helping her, which she was grateful for. But was there something that they were not telling her? She sighed before walking into her room.

Serena couldn't help but marvel about the size of the room again as she made her way inside. She was beginning to wonder why the young girl told all that - It almost felt like everything happening here, happened for a reason like the way she met Luna.

She quickly searched for the communication tool that Luna gave her in her bag, brought it out, and kept it safely on one of her bedside table.

Serena went straight to the bathroom after that - it had been an hectic day with everything she had discovered and learnt about Eiravyn.

She soaked herself in the hot, relaxing huge bathtub that could fit five people and there'd still be space for more.

Taking her time to scrub out the day's stress, she rinsed and reached for the fluffy towels that was hung over the gilded rail. She draped it over herself while standing up.

She walked into the closet with the towel draped around her, using her hands to hold it in place, while she searched for comfortable, simple clothes to wear.

She realized of all the clothes theyd brought for her that day, there were not any that were considered simple or anything she was looking for. Everything was either evening gowns with layers suitable for balls and evening party. Serena couldn't believe her eyes as she thought she had seen pants and shirts when the maids were moving the clothes earlier that day.

She first walked to where the underwear and nightdresses were kept. She guessed she have to make do with a nightgown for now since it was almost evening and she was not going outside again.

So, she went in search of a suitable nightdress and underwear, Serena's eyes almost bulged at the sight of bright red lacy bras and matching thong. There were six sets: one dark red, one hot red, one black, one scarlet + white lace, one white lace, and another one ruby + navy lace.

The panties were all thongs, while the bras were slightly different. The bright red one was lacy, the hot red bra was wireless, and the black bra had strings weaved like spiderwebs. Serena gape at the underwear. Who had selected this things for her? She asked as she hooked one of the bras with a finger - turning it left and right.

Serena placed it down abruptly, there's no way she would wear a thing as this. She never wore something so exposing and racy, and the idea of a thong getting in between her butt cheek wasn't that appealing to her, and not even comfortable in the slightest bit.

Instead, she went for a nightdress and was even more shocked to see it. Serena exhaled loudly. "Who had really selected these clothes for her?" Serena muttered to herself, as her eyes landed on a nightdress in the closet that was loose and transparent, it was the only one there that was considerably long enough that she could tuck her feet beneath the hem of it, the only problem was that the nightdress didn't cover much that she might as well be naked.

The white nightdress had ruffled cuffs and high collar decorated with lace appliqués and embroideries, was as demure as a novice's robe.

It didn't help much as the fabric was white, transparent, and gossamer-like that anybody could see her shape from underneath, Serena dropped it back disappointed, as it was the only long nightdress there.

She turned to stare at the other nightdress that was too revealing and she sighed. 'I might as well just wear one of the clothes I brought with me, and maybe tomorrow I'll ask one of the maids to bring out the more comfortable clothes I saw them keep.' With that thought in mind Serena wore her own clothes but she could not wear the underwear she wore previously.

She decided to sleep anyways and went commando style (aka sleeping without panties on).

Serena put on an oversized tank top that almost reached her thighs, it was a bit uncomfortable and breezy down there without her panties on but Serena had no other choice as it was better this way than to sleep in one of those exposing nightdress. After all, she was only going to sleep and Eiravyn had his own room, so it was fine…

Serena got out of the bathroom and went straight to the big bed waiting for her,

"I'm coming for you." Serena spoke to herself, looking at the bed, and chuckled a little.

She immediately bounced on the bed, giggling like a little child. As the bed bounced with her sudden movement, she bounced on it for a few more minutes before snuggling under the cover.

The comforter and mattress were so comfortable that within minutes, Serena fell into a deep sleep the moment she closed her eyes.

As we bid adieu to another incredible year and hello to a brand new year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to each and everyone of you. Your love, support, and to everyone that voted for my story mean the world to me.

2025 was a year of growth, and great decision for me as an author, it was the year I decided to start my career as an author. "Isn't it amazing?" Well, yes it is, until there were night when I cried my eyes out cos' I thought my book was not doing well, and that readers won't like it.

Well, right now I can only say it was worth it, because on my very first attempt in writing, my book got a contract invitation, even without me applying, so, I used that hope and believe that maybe, I'm only overthinking it and my book was really interesting and it just hadn't gotten to the right readers. With all this said, I just want to use this medium to thank y'all for putting a smile on my face. :)

As we step into a new year, I'm excited for what it holds. More twists, more turns, more heartbreaks, more happily-ever-afters (I promise, some of them are coming soon enough in the book^~.) I'm working on some new exciting projects, and I can't wait to share them with you.

To all of you who have been with me since the beginning, thank you for your loyalty, and patience. To those that are new, welcome to the fam! ^^ Get ready for the ride.
