Serena blinked herself awake, and the first thing she noticed was that it was already so bright outside. She quickly sat up from the bed.

She had overslept, after all what Eiravyn had told her the night before. Serena groaned; she had to get ready for the day.

She stood up from the bed and reached for her phone like she always did to check what the time was. When she realized she still couldn't get any signal and her phone's time was off because it was set to update authomatically from the network, Serena groaned and placed the phone back on the table. She really needs to find out what she could do about this network issue. She muttered to herself before walking to her balcony.

She pulled open the curtains and Serena gazed over the lush gardens with fountains. She could never get used to this beautiful scenery every morning. She thought to herself as she observed everything, taking it all in before making her way back to the room. When one of the potted plants fell down, making a loud noise and shattering sound.

Serena gasped in surprise — she had not seen the plants there and it seemed her leg might have hit it mistakenly, making it fall. In the process, she thought as she bent down to gather the broken pot shards, when her bedroom door was pulled open with a loud bang and two servants rushed into the room in a hurry. It seemed they heard the noise outside and came to check on her - the noise might have startled them, as they appeared worried.

"My lady, are you alright?" One of the servants asked as soon as she entered the room. She gasped when she spotted the pot shards on the ground and was about to say something, but the other servant beat her to it.

"You shouldn't do that, My lady." The servant said, worry evident in her voice as she rushed to meet Serena, checking her hands to see if she was scathed by the broken shards. Luckily, she only had a scratch which would not leave a mark.

"Thank goodness you didn't get hurt trying to pick that up, My lady." The servant said, almost like she was chiding her. She led Serena back to her bed and made her sit on it.

"Wait here, My lady." The servant said before going back to where the scattered broken shards were. She saw the other servant already cleaning and gathering the plants - she was almost done. The servant sighed again. 'Thank goodness we came when we did!'

Serena was still startled by the plant suddenly shattering and was finding it hard to register what was happening around her when the servant came back with a first aid box. She was seated on the bed, looking at the servant with surprise on her face, mostly because she was surprised by the way they were treating her like she was some fragile egg that could break at the slightest touch.

Serena was still not used to this and she was still not sure who this servants was as she had not seen them before, she observed the servant in front of her. It was a young woman a few years older than her, wearing a black and white dress with her black hair set in a tight bun that not even a single hair strand moved with the wind. She had not seen the other servant that entered the room with this one but she could guess that she was probably still cleaning the balcony.

"Let me see your hands, My lady." The servant suddenly said to her, rousing her from her thoughts. Serena didn't put too much thoughts to it and just stretched her hands absentmindedly to the servant even though her hands looked pretty alright and she only had a little scratch, she could see the servant was already panicking and she didn't want to add to her troubles.

The servant sighed and used a band-aid to dress the wound after disinfecting it with spirit.

"All done." The servant said and Serena muttered her thanks. She was still observing the dressing on the wound when the other servant came back and bowed to Serena.

"Is there anything you'll like us to do for you, My lady." The other servant said while bowing before she lifted her head.

Serena gasped as soon as her eyes met the other servant eyes, she turned to look at the first servant in shock before she turned to look back at the second one, she did that routine again, three times, as she pointed an accusing finger at the two servants.

"Yo… you two are…" Serena trailed off in surprise, her eyes glimmering with a sudden spark of a child who had just found their latest toy, her hands flying to cover her mouth in disbelief, with her eyes glittering.

The two servants almost laughed at their lady funny reactions. "Yes, you're right My lady. We're twins." They said in unison as if they had telepathy.

Serena gasped again with her doe like eyes. 'What! They even synced?' She thought to herself as she observed the other maid who was busy earlier with cleaning the broken potted plant. She had on the same attire which Serena thought seemed to be the uniform for the royal servant of the Darkshade Kingdom, her hair and appearance was so similar and identical to the first servant, the only difference was that this one had her hair tied in a low bun. They looked so identical! Serena could not tell the difference.

Serena had always been fond of twins and always wished she was a twin herself. Well, that would never happen. She said in her mind as she turned to look at the twin pair. Never in her wildest dreams did she think vampires could be twins as well.

She could not hide her surprise anymore. "What is your name?" She asked the first one, who seemed to be the oldest of the twins. She was still not sure what they were doing in her room but she would find that out soon.

The other servant, the one who helped her with her injury, replied, "My name is Astrid, My lady and my younger sister is Aurora." The servant answered for her sister.

Serena nodded at them, she had so much questions for them and wanted to ask but she didn't want to sound rude. She had notice that earlier Astrid didn't feel bothered by her blood when she helped her dressed her wound. She had thought vampires go crazy at the scent of blood but they appeared normal.
