Selina and Mater returned to the Institute the day after.

The first thing they did was to check their spoils of war.

Selina was totally uninterested about the items and the gemstones. But her eyes lit up when she saw the mobile credits.

"This is… This is…" Selina breathed heavily.

Mater flipped his cat paw dismissively. His deep voice echoed. "You can take it. Just remember to buy good food for me."

Selina picked the cat up and spun around. "I'll buy the best food in this world for you!"

Selina spent the morning counting the mobile credits. She had just received 50,000 credits from the Onoke Case. But now, she received an additional 2,350,000 credits.

"Two million creds…" Selina almost fainted when she finished counting.

That day was rather peaceful for the two of them.

Selina practiced the Chaos Skills that Mater taught her, Chaos Tentacles and Chaos Control. She would go to the stadium to practice Chaos Flesh, focusing mostly on strengthening her feet first.

Selina ran around the stadium while maintaining a strict control over the flow of Chaos, keeping Chaos Flesh active at all times.

As for Mater, the black cat used Selina's computer to dig into Zakharov's network to learn more about them.

Zakharov, founder of Zauber Enterprises. It was one of the richest families in the entire country. However, they ran into a problem where no heir was present. The only one young enough was Levy but he didn't have that much talent and was famously a brat.

"Hmmm. It looks like this world also has a long history about magic users. But overtime, when technology became advanced, they abandoned this term and used a more suitable term. Psycho Force, Psychic Skills, and Psionics."

There were quite a few secret techniques inside Zakharov's database. But Mater despised most of them. Zakharov relied too heavily on their 'servants', which was exactly similar with Mater's Submission Seal.

However Warlock also empowered themselves, servant was only one of the ways they could gain power, not the only way.

House Zakharov needed powerful servants so they deliberately created more tragedy to have more servants.

The David Rendell case. The Neo Mall case. But the Wilsons case wasn't them. There were more hidden forces in this world that also actively aimed to create more wraiths.

"Hmmm. I met a Despair once before. I also met all three Fury, Misery, and Envy. I haven't encountered a Horror or Desire though."

Mater continued to read and saw what were the uses of those gemstones.

This world operated based on the NES. There was no technique to 'eat' other Chaos Beings similar to Mater. Everyone generated their own chaos via emotions.

Emotional Spectrum Gemstones were a special material extracted from the NCEs for Psychics to use and increased their Supernatural Conversion Rate. The higher the SCR, the more powerful they were.

"Weird… There are no techniques to raise the capacity of their Chaos Singularity…"

Mater realized this world had a blindspot toward Chaos. They thought Chaos Singularity could only be developed through time and effort. They didn't even know a Chaos User could 'eat' other Singularities to grow their own Singularity.

The black cat looked out to Selina, who was running around the empty stadium. It couldn't help but smirk.

"You might actually become a dark queen, Selina."

Mater took the Fury Gemstone out and took a look at it. Supernatural Conversion Rate was basically magic affinity.

In Mater's world, affinity was raised by practice. While the Chaos Well was raised by foreign materials. In this world, affinity was raised by foreign materials, while Chaos Well was raised by practice.

"Why don't we do both?"

Back in Dr. Avaline's examination, Selina had an A rating with 75% Conversion Rate. Mater could teach her to practice her magic and she could also absorb these Gemstones. However, there was one problem.

"I don't know if these things had any side effects…"

The black cat smirked. Emotional Gemstones allowed for new spells to be made. It took time to manually create a new spell. But the Gemstones skipped this by directly forming a new web of Chaos structure inside the mind.

"If I have enough gemstones, I can create any spell I want. Fury Gemstones seems to be leaning to offensive skill. I wonder what Misery and Envy are."

The black cat threw the blue and yellow gemstones in its mouth. New webs of Chaos spurred in its mind.

"Misery can create defensive skills. Envy can create skills that weaken the enemies. Interesting. But if I want to create a new Rank-1 spell. I need at least five Menace Level Gemstones.

I don't know how to create these gemstones from wraiths though…"

Mater had finally come across something he didn't know to do. Fortunately, Zakharov did mention that the Institute had this kind of technique.

"I need to tell Selina to learn that once she starts school!" Mater decided in his mind.
