The sky of Aeliz City was once again rumbling. The cloud changed color and darkened. A circular vortex formed from the moving clouds. Rain fell to the ground beneath.

Every drop that went through the hole in the middle of the vortex turned into snow.

Snow fell in Aeliz City in the middle of the summer.

Alister sighed. He picked up the phone and dialed the Institute.

"Yes, what is it now?!" Dr. Avaline answered on the other line.

"Weather phenomenon again. The entire city is snowing." Alister said.

"Any death? Any NCE appearing? Any attack?" Dr. Avaline said.

"No…"

"Then stop bothering me, Baltimore. Phone the DSI!" Dr. Avaline hung up the phone.

"This arrogant old man!" Veins bulged on Alister's forehead.

He stood up and went to the window. The detective observed the snowflakes in the air.

"The only thing I can do now is document these events. Maybe we will find out the reason behind it soon."

In some luxurious villa, the purple-haired boy looked up to the sky. He opened his palm to catch a snowflake.

Back in the cold room. Frost and snow filled the space of the storage. A particular shrine of snow and ice appeared and buried Aurora inside.

For Chaos Infusion Rank, every level granted an additional spell in the Dark Grimoire. Every two levels granted an additional seal.

Level 1 Chaos Infusion allowed for 1 Submission Seal.

Level 3 for 2.

Level 5 for 3.

Level 7 for 4.

And Level 9 for 5.

Mater was at level 4. This allowed him to have four additional spells in the book, which were [Chaos Eyes], [Nether Shot], [Crow's Call], and [Water Clones].

He could also make two Submission Seals. One was already created and used on Aurora.

Mater rearranged the next plan of action in his head. He went to the front room where Selina was looking out the window and staring at the snow.

Mater was aware about the side effects of creating the Glacial Shrine but he didn't care. In this crowded city of horrors, he doubted anyone would connect it to Selina and him.

Selina turned to the black cat. "Is it done?"

The cat nodded.

"What should we do now?"

"Now, we rest. Today has been a long day." Mater meowed and walked out of the door.

Selina followed him closely. She locked the door tightly. The cold storage was running 24/24 to make sure the Shrine would stay intact.

The pair of the owner and the cat went out to have some food before returning to Selina's house for a long sweet sleep.

Mater woke up first the next day. He walked his cat ass to the bathroom first to brush his teeth.

Selina had bought a small toothbrush that he could use by himself. It had this special handle that felt easy on his hand.

The cat looked at himself in the mirror while brushing his teeth. His own image made him feel a little weird.

"I lost my handsomeness but I am pretty cute, to be honest. This is still a face that captures every girl's heart.

But it does look ridiculous. What kind of cat brushes its own teeth?"

Mater did not like brushing his teeth. But he liked to stay clean.

"Better make my servant take care of me like always." Mater was referring to Selina.

After finishing, the cat felt fresher already. It climbed onto the computer in the living room and turned it on.

Before checking the Bounty Hunting Site, Mater activated the backdoor he left in ACPD to check Selina's certificate status. Everything went well and they had already received everything. She should become a Bronze Rank PI at the end of today.

"Who is sniffing around and trying to identify my woman?" Mater rolled his eyes.

He could only think of two possible scenarios.

One was related to her parents. They disappeared for classified reasons. Whoever was investigating Selina might be the enemies of her parents.

But Mater leaned more to the second scenario. The people behind the Chaos Ritual that created the bloodwraith and the darkwraith.

"Solving cases too fast is definitely suspicious and can draw a lot of danger. But I have to do it. Only growing stronger can I protect Selina.

I should also advise her to take that university course seriously. It might give her enough strength to defend herself in case I am not around."

Mater used Chaos to surf the web and looked for possible ways to create a trap and to protect Selina's profile. He quickly found many ways to create a virus to counter attack whoever tried to access the redacted data.

The black cat then grabbed the mouse and looked through the Iron Rank Bounties. Selina would only become a Bronze Rank at the end of today.
