Selina and Mater came to meet up with the landlord of the building. He was a middle-aged man in a business suit. For some reason, he really reminded Selina of the Psychic that she met in the Institute, Terry Lang. They both had a very similar vibe.

"Hello. You must be Mister Neil Chapman, am I correct?" Selina showed the owner her Ankh badge.

Neil nodded his head. "And you are?"

"I am Selina Isles, a private investigator that works with the ACPD. I would like to have a look at Mr. Kyle Turner's room. The man that killed himself in your apartment complex."

"Ah… You must be an NCE Bounty Hunter, correct?"

Selina raised an eyebrow but didn't answer.

"Please. You don't need to keep a secret. I have already signed the SCOA." Neil took out his phone and opened up his identification app.

For people that had signed SCOA, they would have a special badge next to their profile picture. It was the same all across the citizens of this country. The government used this so the people could differentiate between ordinary people and people who had encountered the dark side of this world.

"I see. Well then. I have no reason to lie to you. I am here because I suspect there might be an NCE relating to Mr. Turner's death."

Neil nodded. "You don't need to guess. I can confirm to you that there is an NCE on the thirteenth floor. It is the floor of Mr. Turner's apartment. I saw the NCE once and reported the footage to the ACPD. They made me sign that document."

"I see. Can I look at the footage?"

"Of course. Please follow me to the thirteenth floor."

Selina and Mater followed Neil to the elevator. The cat's eyes flashed red as he scanned the landlord. There were signs of Chaos outside of his body so it's probably true that he encountered the wraith before.

The elevator opened up. The hallway of the thirteenth floor was empty. No sight of a soul in place except for the three of them.

Neil pointed to the end of the hallway. "That is the apartment that Kyle died in. Room 1308. The farther you are, the less you will be influenced by the room. As long as we stand on this side of the hallway, nothing would happen. But if you get closer, you will start hearing and seeing things.

That thing scared all of my tenants away. No one is left on this floor."

"Floor thirteenth, huh? Usually, all buildings avoided this floor number. They only have floors 12th and 14th and would skip 13th altogether. Why did you…"

Neil sighed. "I didn't believe in the supernatural in my younger years. I thought it was just superstition. So I ignored everyone's advice about skipping the 13th floor. I didn't think it would lead to this.

Please follow me to the security room on this floor. Each floor has a room like this and it is where I store all the footage of this floor. Usually there would be a security guard here but he also quit."

The three of them entered the security room. There were six cameras in this room and a single computer that was used to access the footage.

Neil booted up the computer and gave Selina the password. "All security codes are the same, 1408. You can use it to see everything. I must leave you here by yourself."

"Where're you going?" Selina said.

"To get out of this floor. I am just an ordinary person, Miss Isles. I am not a paranormal investigator. And to be honest, I don't want to die yet."

Selina nodded. "Reasonable. I will give you a call once we are done with the NCE."

"Can you kill… I mean can you really exorcize the spirit?"

Selina smiled softly. "Don't worry, Mr. Chapman. This is not the first case I have handled. All the NCEs of my previous cases were all dealt with."

"I am glad to hear that."

Neil left the room, allowing Selina and Mater to look at the footage. Selina was about to type in the security code but Mater jumped onto the panel and slapped her hand away.

"We don't need a code, girl." The black cat put his paw onto the panel and channeled his Chaos.

Going through all the footage would take a lot of time. Mater was in a hurry to collect as many Chaos Stones as possible. He used Chaos to go through all the footage in one go. Flashes of footage appeared on the monitor.

There was nothing going on with the day footage but the night footage had caught a lot of sightings.

"Infared Camera? I see. That is why the security cameras were able to capture the ghost." Mater meowed.

Infrared Night Vision Camera was a special kind of security camera that a few buildings installed so that they were able to capture footage at night. This allowed the camera to capture heat points and showed the wraith in the footage. If it was a normal camera, the wraith would just be invisible.

The cat flicked his paw. The Dark Grimoire flew out of Selina's backpack and Aurora jumped out of it. Her naked body was revealed to the room.

"Seriously, Mr. Mater. You should allow her to wear some clothes."

Mater meowed.

"It's not like I didn't want to. The book can't hold a physical object that isn't connected to her." Aurora translated.

"At least I brought a few spare sets of clothes for her. And some underwear and bras as well…" Selina took the clothes out of her backpack and helped Aurora put them on.

Meanwhile, Mater went through the rest of the footage.

"Alright. I discovered three pieces of footage that we can use." Mater meowed.

Aurora had already finished putting on the clothes. Her pair of antlers were still extremely out of place but without an illusion spell, it was not possible to hide it.

Selina looked at Aurora and nodded. She brought a white summer dress for Aurora to wear. The top had a low neckline that showed more skin and provided coolness in the summer. The skirt was short and was above her knees. It was very easy to move around and also extremely sexy. The dress had small ruffles here and there, giving a fresh and innocent look to Aurora.

"I knew she would look great in this."

"Thank you, Selina." Aurora smiled.

Selina turned to Mater. The black cat meowed.

"It's me who said it. Not Master." Aurora said.

"Hehe. You look so pretty, Aurora." Selina hugged the ice wight. Her cold skin made Selina shiver but she didn't back off.

"Alright. Alright. Alright. We need to focus on the case, girls." Mater meowed.
