CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror

Chapter 68: Abyssal Abomination

A symbol floated slightly above Mater. It represented a dagger with its handle dispersed into curvy lines of thin smoke.

"What is that thing?!" Selina's jaw dropped when she saw the Abyssal Seal.

Mater gave her a smug look and meowed softly.

"1,000 kilometers of Chaos Blood was gone just like that. I only have around 700 left. But that should be more than enough for everything.

Now. Let me enslave the wraith."

The Dark Grimoire stood up. It spat the shadow wraith back out. It was still weakened from the battle. Its shadowy body was much more faded than before.

"Come, my servant. Receive your mark."

Mater pushed the Abyssal Seal to the shadow wraith. The wraith was almost drawn to it. Its faceless head turned toward the seal like it was smelling something good.

The Abyssal Seal stuck to its forehead. The dark symbol lit up in white.

The smoky body of the wraith trembled. It exploded into a cloud of smoke and reorganized into a denser, more solidified body.

Its body was now physical. A human male in the full color of darkness with lines of purple running on its body. The wraith became taller and bigger, now looking like a well-developed adult human male instead of the thin body of a teenager.

The wraith's eyes snapped open.

Two white eyes appeared on its used to be faceless head. It had no eyeballs nor eyelids, only a pair of illuminating white eyesockets.

A black cloud gathered around its body, forming into its clothes. The black smoke created a classic suit with no tie. Dense steel boots on its feet. And a long trench coat on the outside.

Mater opened his paw. A deep black fedora with faint purple lines appeared.

"Wow!" Selina's eyes sparkled. "He looks so cool!"

"Of course. His clothes are modeled according to the designs in your fashion magazines after all." Mater meowed arrogantly.

Learning from his experience with Aurora, Mater made a few adjustments with the Abyssal Seal. The body of the shadow wraith was made entirely out of shadow so modifying it was also easier.

The Abyssal Abomination knelt down before Mater.

"I am at your service, Master." He put his head down for Mater to put the fedora on him.

"From now on, you are Crow. Spider no longer fears you as you are its predator." Mater meowed.

"I am Crow. Your forever loyal servant."

Crow's voice was low and harsh. The type of voice that would make women fell to their knees when heard.

"First. Let me examine you, Crow."

The Dark Grimoire stood up and opened the tenth page.

"As you wish, Master." Crow jumped into the Dark Grimoire. His information was now visible.

[Abyssal Formless-Abomination]

[Description]: A spirit that was lifted from its sorrow and despair. Its heart was darkened by the hell of darkness. It fears nothing except the wrath and disappointment of its one and only Master.

[Rank]: 1

[Level]: 5

[Spells]:

- Abyssal Dash: Usable only in Shadow Form. A short burst of speed that can make you go through solid matter.

- Nether Spear: Usable only in Abomination Form. Create a Nether Spear in your hand. The spear can increase or decrease in length as you wish. The final length must not be more than three times different from the original spear. The spear can be recalled if it is not in your hand.

- Arachnophilia: You can summon a giant abyssal spider with resistance to physical damage, restraining effects, and stunning effects. The Abyssal Spider can shrink to the size of a normal spider. The spider can use Nether Web.

- Nether Web: The web of the spider contains the energy of the hell of darkness. Anything that is caught in its web will constantly receive the destructive damage of the Nether energy.

[Passive Ability]: Shadow Abomination

- Shadow Abomination: Can turn invisible at will. Will be visible in the reflection of a mirror. Can switch between Abomination Form and Shadow Form.

- Abomination Form: Become physically stronger and more durable.

- Shadow Form: Can transform into any living being. Cannot transform into beings that are too different in size. Can stick into any surface and become a real shadow.

"Oh? Interesting. Its passive ability has been splitted into two. Abomination Form and Shadow Form.

I also learned that the Page of Imprisonment still accepts Abomination with the root of a wraith. That is good to know.

That Nether Spear ability is also peculiar. I wonder if it could deflect my Nether Spheres… Only one way to know."

Mater summoned Crow. The Abomination jumped out of the book while still wearing its trench coat and fedora.

"Woah! You fixed the clothing issues!" Selina clapped her hands.

Mater rolled his eyes.

"Summon your Nether Spear, Crow. I want to see if it can deflect my Nether Shot." Mater meowed.

"As you wish, Master."

The Abomination opened its left hand. A spear made out of pure purple Nether Energy appeared in its hand.

"Ooooh!" Selina clapped even harder.

Mater opened his mouth and released a Nether Sphere at the side of the Abomination, allowing it to hit the sphere.

The Abomination clenched its Nether Spear and swung at the Nether Sphere. The sphere dug into the spear, creating a high pitch shrieking noise.

Crow's white eyes squinted as it put more force into the spear and successfully deflected it away. However, Crow was also pushed backwards a few meters.

Mater dissolved the Nether Sphere, preventing it from destroying the school even more.

"Not bad. Nether Sphere is one of the best rank 1 damaging spells but you were able to stop it. You did get blown away but you are unharmed." Mater meowed.

The Abomination got its balance back without adding any comment.

"Is this another one of our friends, Mater? Is he similar to Aurora?" Selina approached the cat.

The black cat meowed.

Crow turned to Selina and answered with its deep voice. "Master said yes. I am also your friend."

"Woah. We just keep getting more and more wraiths to help us. If we keep going on like this, we'll be unstoppable." Selina said.

Mater hissed, voicing his disapproval.

Crow was there to translate instead of Aurora. "There are many powers in this world that could easily destroy us. Do not get carried away, Selina. We are still weak."

Selina stuck out her tongue apologetically. "Yeah. I know. I'm sorry."

Mater then ordered Crow to switch to his Shadow Form. Crow turned back to his original shadowy body with black smoke covering him.

Crow turned into an actual shadow crow and flew away.

"Where is he going?" Selina said.

Aurora got back to the group. Mater had reached out to her telepathically.

"To the police station. Master wants to keep a close eye on that place.

Now. It's time for us to call the cops. Our job here is done." Aurora said.

Selina nodded and dialed the ACPD. She wouldn't know how to explain to the security guard outside. It's best to let the police figure it out.
