CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror

Chapter 67: The Abyssal Seal

A force reached out from the black hole, pulling the spider into the page. Its eight legs plunged into the floor, holding it in place.

Mater flew behind the shadow wraith and blasted a shockwave at it. The shockwave lifted the spider off the floor and sent it toward the Dark Grimoire.

Its eight legs extended into spears and punched into the concrete floor one more, preventing it from being pulled inside.

Aurora clasped her hand together. An ice pillar emerged. It didn't lock the spider, instead, it came from under its body, pushing it upward.

"Nice thinking, Aurora." Mater meowed.

The black cat opened its mouth and shot Nether Spheres at its legs. The skinny spider legs broke off.

As a final touch, Mater summoned the black chains. It and the Page of Imprisonment combined their force together. The black chains wrapped around the spider and the shot toward the black hole, pulling it into the page.

The shadow wraith turned back into its normal form. Its lower body disappeared under the page, only its upper body was still outside. One hand of it pushed off the book while the other reached out and clawed at the floor.

"Go in there!" Mater shouted at the shadow wraith, sending it inside the book with another [Desperation Scream].

The book shut tight. It had successfully captured the shadow wraith.

[Shadow-Spider Misery]

[Description]: A spirit filled with sorrow. It was murdered out of cruelty, forever trapped in the place it was tortured.

[Rank]: 1

[Level]: 4

[Spells]:

- Shadow Dash: Transform into a beam of shadow while sticking to a surface to double your speed.

- Shadow Spears: Your hands can transform into spears and can extend twice its usual length.

- Arachnophobia: Turn into the form that the spirit scared the most when it was alive, a spider. Gain minor resistance to damage, restraining effects, and stunning effects.

[Passive Ability]: Shadow Being

- Shadow Being: The wraith is made out of despair. This despair is made of shadowy smoke. Can stick to any surface and turn into a real shadow. Can turn invisible but will still be visible in the reflection of any mirror.

Mater read the abilities of the shadow wraith in the Dark Grimoire. Surprisingly, it was one level lower than Aurora originally was.

"It was pretty weak to be honest. Except for that unique shadow ability."

Selina came back to see the ruined scenery of the floor. The floor was completely thrashed with bits and pieces of concrete everywhere. The entire male restroom looked like it was bombed. The ceiling had many holes that would be difficult to explain how they got there.

"ACPD is going to have a field day thinking of an excuse for this." Selina said.

"What should we do now, Master?" Aurora said.

The black cat stroked its whiskers then meowed. "I'm going to conquer the wraith right here. It was already weakened so it should be easy to enslave it. I only need to create the Submission Seal.

You should go and guard the stairs, making sure no one will disturb me while I'm doing it."

"I understand, Master." Aurora bowed and walked away.

Mater then turned to Selina. "Want to see something cool?"

Creating a Submission Seal required much more Chaos than inscribing a spell. A single Seal would cost at least 500 kilometers of Infused Chaos Blood. Mater currently had around 700 left.

But he had ten Chaos Spheres around his heart that he hadn't infused yet.

"Alright. Let's turn all of those into Chaos Blood."

The ten spheres spun around in his chest. Chaos dissolved and fused with his blood vessels, transforming the cat into a creature of Chaos.

"2,700 kilometers."

"2,750 kilometers."

"2,800 kilometers."

"2,850 kilometers."

"2,950 kilometers."

"3,000 kilometers."

"Level 6!"

"3,050 kilometers."

"3,100 kilometers."

"3,150 kilometers."

"3,200 kilometers."

The cat shivered all over which made Selina chuckled. He still looked cute even when he did demonic warlock stuff.

"Now. It's time to create the Submission Seal."

Infernal Seal. Abyssal Seal. And Glacial Seal. Each represented a hellish energy of different hells.

Hellfire of the Infernal Demon.

Nether of the Abyssal Abomination.

Death Ice of the Glacial Wight.

"This wraith has a somewhat natural affinity with darkness. I would be a fool if I didn't give it the power of the hell of darkness. The Abyssal Seal it is.

The only thing I'm concerning of is if the wraith would still be able to enter the Dark Grimoire after metamorphosis."

Technically speaking, after fusing with the seal, any creature would retain its species and nature. Aurora was a Glacial Wight. But she was also a wraith. Page of Imprisonment could trap spirits and undead. Whether or not it could store an Abomination was a question.

"No matter thinking about it now. I will see the result shortly."

The black cat took a huge breath in. All of the Chaos inside his blood flooded out to form a new Seal of Darkness.

Instantly, darkness filled the sky of Aeliz City.

There had been so many weird phenomenons lately in Aelize City. A lightning storm in the middle of the night. Snow fell twice in the hot days of summer.

And now, an eclipse happened without any warning. Darkness covered the entire sky of the city. But different from an eclipse, where you could still see the outline of the sun, the sun disappeared completely this time.

Along with it were the majority of light sources in Aelize City. A wide black out happened everywhere. What was even weirder was that only light sources started to flicker and dim down. Every other machinery and devices operated perfectly the same.

Alister noticed the weird phenomenon but he ignored it. These things were obviously way above his pay grade to care about.

Dr. Avaline was researching in his labs when he noticed the darkened sky.

Becky was in her home gym, running on the treadmill when the light shut down.

In a tall building of a corporate building, a wrinkled old man squinted his eyes and looked out the windows.

"This is ancient power. Whatever is birthing in Aeliz, it would be no less dangerous than a Disaster."

The old man grabbed his cane tightly. His grin widened from ear to ear, an inhuman and disturbing look.

"House Zakharov would be even more powerful with it in our hands."

A knock echoed on the door behind him and the old man's expression turned back to normal.

"Come in."

"Sir. Your grandson is here to see you."
