After Elena was done evaluating Lisa it was time for her to give her beloved student a little reward for all her efforts. Lisa was very curious about what her teacher was going to give her. Would it be some kind of item or something else.

That was why she became bewildered when Elena took out cooking utensils from her storage. Then she chopped up the Mysehana fish and put it on fire to roast. Then she took out some of the herbs that Lisa had stolen from the food storage of the Chipagamas monkeys along with the wine.

But fish was not the only source of protein on the plate. The big Dasesni was also something that was known as a very high grade delicacy. So, today Elena was going to give her student a sumptuous treat to celebrate her completion of the assignments.

What Lisa had to do in this city was to become an assassin herself for an underground guild called the "Shadow Crow". These sorts of underground guilds were not superpowers like the adventurer guild or merchant guild, instead they were small organisations run by some people with high ambition. Most of them were small scale and only a few would be able to make their names in a city. And "Shadow Crow" was one such guild that was able to become quite famous in a short amount of time.

This guild was a assassination guild. They did not have any official members when the guild started but they were able to gather quite a lot of jobs from many sources and also gave many good rewards. That was the reason why many assassins started to get their jobs through the "Shadow Crow" and by giving those assassins good and trustworthy services, they were able to become the number one assassination guild in Hamada in a very short amount of time.

The registration process for the "Shadow Crow" was very straight forward and easy. They do not need any identification proof or will not check if one was a criminal or not using an "Orb of Judgement". One just needed to put a little bit of your magic power into a special mineral called "Mahogatide" which had a special property. After absorbing a person's magic once, this mineral would never absorb the magic from anyone other than that person. So the guild used this stone to uniquely identify their members. Someone did not need to even show their face while doing the registration.

So, Lisa was able to register with the guild "Shadow Crow" quite easily. Then Elena had told her to do some jobs from the guild. Lisa had to search for a job that she would not regret choosing and she would also have to bear with the burden if she ended up choosing one such job.

After registration, she did not instantly look for a job. First she went to a special section of the "Shadow Crow" guild which was responsible for handling information. There the assassins could buy some much needed information about the city by spending a little money.

Lisa also brought such information to get a basic idea about the city and its people. But that was not all. She could not blindly believe any information from a single source, so she then went to another guild called "Spirit Panther" guild which was a competitor for the "Shadow Crow" guild. But that was also not all. Then lastly she went to another guild called "Freedom" which was a guild specialised in information gathering.

Then and only then, after analysing all the information, finally Lisa went to take a job. Taking a job was also very easy in the Shadow Crow guild. The whole process was completely automated. One just had to choose one of the listed jobs from a terminal and then had to drop a little bit of dust from his registered Mahogatide to a container. That way that particular mission would be registered to the owner of the Mahogatide. It was not a very rare mineral so no one minded losing a little bit of it.

So, without alerting anyone, Lisa chose a mission to assassinate a wealthy jackelkin merchant named Inov. It was actually one of the red marked jobs of the guild as this merchant was a long distance relative to one of the core members of the Spotted Jackal clan.

Obviously after reading through so much information, Lisa knew about it. But the only reason this job was red marked because no one in this city wanted to become an enemy of the Spotted Jackal beastkin clan. But Lisa obviously did not care about it so she had no scruple about taking this job.

Inov came to the city of Hamada after losing a lot of money in a business venture. He had some slight relationship with a C rank member of the Spotted Jackal beastkin clan and he asked for him assistance. And in exchange he would give him 30 percent of his total profit.

It was a good deal for that jackelkin so he gave his permission quickly. Inov was not very talented as a normal merchant but his hidden talent bloomed when he started to deal in illegal businesses.

He had an innate instinct to somehow guess what type of illegal ingredients would sell well and using that he was able to become a big businessman in just a few years. Now he had become one of the most steadily growing merchants of the city of Hamada.

And seeing his talents even the Spotted Jackal beastkin clan had also shown interest in supporting him and his business. So he was on a rise and was also in a very good mood. But he obviously had many enemies who were after his life. So as a cautious person he always had many guards around him all the time.

Inov himself was completely a normal person so he did not have any fighting capability against a fighter. And that was why killing him would not be a very hard task if anyone could get close to him. So, the Spotted Jackal beastkin clan had given him some guards from their clan to protect him.

That was also the reason why his guard was slightly loose. He had a habit of enjoying heavy drinks before going to sleep. And he liked to enjoy that with his favourite concubine on the outside, close to an artificial lake. It was one of Inov's hobbies and fetishes to enjoy outdoor animalistic sex.
