After bidding goodbye to the mother and the two daughters Elena finally left for the middle class district. This district did look a lot inferior if compared to the high end district but still it had its own unique charm. Elena was strolling around the neighborhood and was enjoying the vibe that this part was giving off.

The high end district was really beautiful but it gave it a distant feeling. On the other hand this middle class district had a homely feel to it. It also looked a lot like a regular city that Elena had visited many times before.

She enjoyed eating some of the street foods while strolling through the district. She also checked out the other shops that were in that area too. She was quite surprised to see that almost all the shops that sold some kind of antique were frauds. Everything they had were fake items.

But Elena did not expose them as that was not her job. Most of the people who were getting fooled were extremely rich and did not care about this much money. Instead, if Elena ended up exposing that they were just fools who could not even judge an antique then they might try to kill everyone present there including all the shopkeepers and Elena herself. Actually those shopkeepers were playing with fire while risking their life by fooling those big shots. Others should respect their bravery.

As Elena was enjoying herself while having a comfy walk she came across a pair of siblings. The older one among them was about 10 or 11 years old and he was carrying a little girl on his back who looked like only 3 or 4 years old. Elena especially noticed this pair of siblings because the boy was exceptionally intelligent for his own age.

While carrying his sister the sense of the boy was on full alert. He was also looking out for several unsavory individuals who might target him. The little girl was actually very cute and would grow up to be an exceptional beauty, but the boy was using mud and dirt to hide that beauty. The reason was also crystal clear.

So far Elena had visited many cities after coming to this world and in all of those cities she had not forgotten to do one special thing. And to get was to get rid of the absolute filths of those cities.

Elena knew that evil was necessary for a society to function properly. It was a sad thing but was true none the less. So Elena was not someone who got rid of the evil without thinking about anything else.

She had a bottom line and as long as that bottom line was not crossed she would not be too ruthless while eliminating them. But if that bottom like was crossed then hell would feel like better than heaven.

In her journey, Elena had come across many so called evil people who actually had a heart of gold, and also many who were actually incarnations of evil. She had also come across many who had lost their path and had taken a wrong route, but a little punishment followed by a heartfelt conversation was most of the time enough to bring them on the right track.

So Elena could judge someone even without using her special ability to read the mind. And the filths that were present inside this city were some of the worst kind. Actually most of the filths that would be found in the nations under Tiandi's influence were like this as the ideology that they followed was quite brutal.

Elena did not clean those filth up immediately as currently she was more interested in this little boy. So she decided to follow him. She saw that but left the middle class district and became even more alert. Then he went to a small residential area that was very close to the middle class district but was still a part of the low class district and entered a house there.

Elena was impressed by the boy's ability. He had both the intelligence and courage. She could easily guess even without using her powers from seeing the boy that he had no parents left to take care of him, and he was taking care of both himself and his little sister. It must have been very hard.

So she used her ability to know everything about the boy and decided to help the brave boy out a little bit. Then she went straight toward the house of the boy and knocked on the door.

Lin Yan was having terribly bad luck for the last few days. About a year ago his father suddenly died without leaving behind much money. So from that time he had to search for a way to earn money.

Lin Yan was quite intelligent and as his father was not an illiterate person he had at least taught him how to read and write and his to do some simple arithmetics. So he was able to use that knowledge and got a job in a rice shop in the middle class district as a cashier.

But even after getting a job he was still filled with trouble as his little baby sister was very young and he could not just leave her alone in this hell hole. So he tried to allow her to attend a school in the middle class district.

But the school fees were too much and Lin Yan could not afford it. So he begged on his knees to the headmaster of the school to at least allow his baby sister Lin Yue to stay in the school for as long as he was working.

The headmaster was a good person and taking pity on the poor pair of siblings, he allowed Lin Yue to stay in the common room of the school for free.

His sister was really too beautiful which might attract unwanted attention, so Lin Yan always used mud or dirt to make it less obvious. But two days before and naughty brat poured water on her sister and that exposed her true beauty. Since then Lin Yan had noticed that some thugs were eyeing them with evil intention.

He really wanted to get rid of them or to at least take her sister somewhere safer, but as a poor and weak person he was helpless. Lin Yan's greatest dream in life was to practice martial arts and to become very strong.

He did not have any aptitude for magic so martial arts was his only way to get stronger. He did not believe that martial artists were inferior to immortal cultivators as his father had told him stories about martial artists from different nations who were all many times stronger than most immortal cultivators.

But, to become a martial artist he needed to get his hands in a martial arts manual. But that was something only a few bigshots had access to and there was no way for a poor brat like him to have access to them. So he was helpless in his matter too.

The amount of money he earned from the rice shop was already not much but as he was just a child, the supervisor of the shop also stole almost half of his money everyday and he was powerless to stop that too. Even though he was just 12 years old, he was already feeling fed up with his life. The only reason he didn't just run away from the city was because he wanted his baby sister to grow up healthy and happy.

Normally if it was any other part of the world, he would have the option to become an adventurer. But all the areas under the influence of high goddess Tiandi had very little influence of the adventurer guild as adventurers did not have much to do here.

Any area that was filled with monsters or any dungeons were all already under the control of influential families. So the adventurer did not have any rights to use it. So how were they going to earn money or grow stronger ? That was why adventurers had very little value and the only thing they were hired for was for guard duty.

But for that one already needed to be strong and Lin Yan was not strong at all. So adventuring was not an option for him. So he was feeling like he was at the end of his road. His sister might get kidnapped any time or even if she did not, Lin Yan would have a hard time earning money and they they might just starve to death. Those were terrible but very possible futures.

Just as Lin Yan was getting depressed while thinking about his situation and was putting his little baby sister to sleep, he suddenly heard a knocking on the door. He instantly got alert. There was almost no one who would knock on his door. He did not have a very good relationship with the neighbours as they were not good people and many times advised him to sell his little sister. So he did not have any idea who might be knocking on his doors.

But the knocking had a gentle feeling to it which almost made him believe like the person who was knocking would not do anything bad to him. But he suddenly got back to his senses and very cautiously opened the door.

And just like the the future of the young boy changed.
