Talking with their daughter after a long time was truly a satisfying thing and all the sadness in Hendrick's and Dakota's heart disappeared. Then when all three of them were satisfied, they decided to go out to thank their benefactor who made this situation possible.
After coming out of the room all three of them came out and bowed to Elena to show their gratitude. Elena told them to lift their heads and then she patted Lily's head and said -
"Let's talk inside while having some food. Little Lily has not eaten anything for a long time, let's give her good food to enjoy."
Hearing Elena Lily said with a cute expression -
"But big sis, I'm not feeling hungry at all."
"That is because your body got nourished with a very powerful elixir. Natural energy is good and all but it can't completely remove the need of food for a young low level person. If you want to grow up to be strong and healthy, you need to eat normal food."
Hearing Elena everyone nodded their heads and went inside. Hendrick asked his servants to prepare for the biggest possible feast in a short time and they started to talk with each other.
At first everyone was a bit tense around Elena and was acting very respectful as she was a Demigod and they had insanely high status. But Elena herself asked them to behave normally with her as she didn't mind it at all so that tried to be as natural as possible around her.
Hendrick brought up the topic of repaying Elena but he had no idea what he or the Dayflower clan could do to repay a demigod like her. So he straight up asked Elena how he could repay her.
Elena thought about it for some time and then said that she really had no need for anything for the time being. She also explained the real potential of Lily's skill to all the people present here.
"The skill Lily has is more special than what you all have thought before. As you saw, I needed to use a demigod level elixir to cure her. So it was definitely not a normal skill. But to let all of you properly understand how great her potential is, I will just say a single sentence. Lily has the potential to reach the Demigod rank."
Immediately everyone sitting there was dumbstruck. That had expected Lily's skill to be special but Demigod was just too amazing. Actually the main reason why Elena helped Lily and even went out of her way to use other materials was because Lily could become a subordinate of Alreuni in the future.
Gods had many different ways to get subordinate demigods. Some directly bestowed the potential of a demigod to someone they liked. Others might just do nothing and wait for such a person to naturally appear. Alreuni liked to give all the elves an equal chance to have a good potential, so some of them got very strong inherent abilities since birth. Lily was one such example.
So her losing her Demigod potential was equivalent of Alreuni losing a demigod rank confidant, so to prevent that, Elena took extra steps to make sure that Lily would be able to reach her full potential.
Elena understood that now the couple would feel even more grateful toward her, so he decided to ask for something. After thinking about it for some time, she asked them to just give her some kind of permit that would allow her to visit any location within the Dayflower domain without any restriction as she was mostly here to travel and sightsee.
Hearing her request, Hendrick took out a golden token with a design of flower on it. Then he explained -
"This is called the Golden Dayflower Token and it will allow you to visit any place under the Daybreak Domain without any restriction. Not only that but the other domains will also not make things difficult for you with this. If miss Elena wants to travel freely without revealing your status as a Demigod, I think this will be of help to you."
Elena took the token as it might come in handy. Then Dalia suddenly asked Elena a question.
"Is big sister going to stay in the Dayflower domain for some time ?"
When Elena nodded her head Dalia's face lit up and she proposed -
"Then big sister, how about I become your guide for the duration of your stay here. I have been living here for quite a long time so I believe I can show you all the awesome places even the little known ones."
"That's a good idea and I also don't have any problems with you coming with me, but won't that interfere with your duties as the personal alchemist of the Dayflower clan."
Dalia shook her head and said -
"No, no. Even though I'm a personal alchemist I don't have any certain responsibility. I spent most of my time doing research on various subjects. I was mostly researching for a way to cure Lily. But now that my dear niece is alright again I think I should take a break."
"Then, if you're fine with me then I will be in your care. Thanks in advance, Dalia."
Seeing Elena's smile Dalia also smiled and said -
"No, no, big sister Elena. Please allow me to do at least this much to repay you for waking my niece."
Then the food that the best chefs of the Dayflower prepared with all their might appeared and everyone enjoyed it a lot. Hendrick normally did not eat any food, but today he enjoyed tasty food with his family and friends after a long time. Not only his belly but also his heart felt fulfilled.
...
After the sumptuous meal, Elena and Dalia left the Dayflower estate and went out. It was actually nighttime, but as elves had a different time cycle then humans, it almost felt like it was actually daytime.
The streets were still quiet but the absence of sunlight gave it a special vibe. The silence and calm that felt a bit weird in the morning time felt completely natural at nighttime. To fulfill her promise of showing Elena the best places of the city, Dalia took her to a place that was especially well known for its night beauty.
As Elena and Dalia were walking together toward their destination, Dalia suddenly thought of a question. She asked that question to Elena -
"Big sister Elena, as a Demigod rank powerhouse, you were definitely capable of taking care of the Forest Dragon even without your well thought out plans. So why did you go out of your way to do something so troublesome to get the leaves, instead of just, you know, taking it by brute force ?"
Hearing Dalia's question Elena started to pat her head while answering -
"Hmm, it's very easy for a demigod to handle that Forest dragon. If the level of a demigod is restricted to be the same as the Forest Dragon's, it would still be easy for that person to defeat it as all the demigods have their special and secret moves. Correct ?"
Even though Dalia did not have any knowledge about a Demigod but what Elena said all sounded possible so she nodded her head. See was still feeling a bit embarrassed after getting headpats like a little kid and even enjoying it so her face was a bit red and she looked very cute. Elena increased the speed of her headpatting and continued -
"But if you tell them to not use any of their speciality and only restrict themselves with powers that anyone is capable of using with enough diligent practice then most of the demigods will not be able to win against a Forest Dragon. So I wanted to challenge myself by getting the leaves only using a method which others will be able to replicate and in the future may even be able to collect the leaves of a forest dragon regularly by using this method which will also be very safe."
Hearing Elena's explanation Dalia understood what she meant. Thai type of thinking really showed the kind side of Elena. Just as she was going to say something Elena put her index finger on her lips. Dalia obediently shut her mouth understanding the signal. Elena then took her to a different spot and pointed her fingers forward.
Dalia looked at that side and her eyes widened. From this place she was able to see something small that was hidden behind the bush. It looked like a small animal, quite cute but not significant enough to make Dalia dumbstruck.
But Dalia had a very good reason to be so surprised. That cute animal there was called Houkuma. It was an extremely rare animal that lived deep inside the ground of the Gradvilde continent and rarely came out. So seeing a Houkuma was considered to be extremely auspicious. Dalia had also never seen this animal before. It was extremely cautious so even if one was to see one, it would quickly run away.
Elena had used magic to hide their auras and that was the only reason why they were able to observe this rare creature from so close. Then after sometime the footsteps of a few people were heard from a distance. Immediately the Houkuma burrowed underground and disappeared. Elena and Dalia also continued their walk with even more happiness.
