After Eldriana was able to take away all the A rankers from her subordinates, the remaining 14 of them were able to fight back a little bit. Even though it was only 2 A rankers, the pressure that they were giving them was many times stronger than the pressure they were feeling from all other soldiers combined. So they were able to fight back a little bit now that the A rankers were gone.

But still the opponents had more B rankers than them and it was still an uphill battle for Eldriana's subordinates. All the remaining B rankers needed to face off against several people of the same rank at the same time.

Eldriana was doing her best to end her battle as soon as possible. She was becoming more and more reckless to kill all the A rankers quickly. She was getting more and more hurt by being so reckless but that was the least of her worries. Although her efforts were useful as she was able to wound another one of the A rankers badly.

But just as it looked like the battle was turning in their favour, one of the B rankers facing Eldriana's subordinates got hurt by Vena and a magic item activated on his body that created an explosion which immediately blew Vena and that man together. After getting her life saved by Udin, Vena was doing her absolute best to not waste the life that was saved and fought like crazy. So she was really ranking on quite a lot of pressure on her shoulder.

So, after her death, the situation became even more critical. Bailey was a very good mage but her close quarters combat ability was non existent. So she was getting protected by her comrades while firing off spells. But with Vena's death, a gap was created in that guard and Bailey was pierced through her heart with a well placed arrow. She died immediately without being able to say anything.

Oshiko was a force of nature and was fighting with many B rankers non stop. When she was busy fending off three B rankers in front of her, another B ranker tried to sneak attack her with a special skill. Just as she was going to pierce Oshiko from behind with a dagger, Matty used his inherent unique skill that he had even been able to use and exchanged his location with Oshiko's. So instead of Oshiko, Matty was fatally injured.

Seeing that Oshiko immediately went mad and killed the sneaky elf girl. Then in her rage she cut down two more B rankers by paying the prize of getting life threatening wounds. As for the last B ranker, Poetrie started to fight him and gave the dying pair a moment for themselves.

Oshiko picked up Matty's body which was almost dead and put her forehead on his. Then she said in a sobbing voice -

"Why ? Why did you do it ? You said that you were a coward. Then why ? Why did you put your body on the line for someone like me ?"

She then started crying while saying so. Matty somehow raised his hand to wipe off her tears and said in a very weak almost inaudible voice -

"Silly, because I wanted to show my manly side to the girl I love. So, was I manly ?"

Oshiko gave a pained smile with tears still flowing down her face and said -

"Yes. You're the best man in the world as the man I fell in love with could not be anything less."

Then they moved their body by giving extreme effort and their lips touched each other. Relief washed over both of them and all the tension disappeared from their body. The extremely willpower that was keeping their life intact disappeared with this act and Oshiko and Matty departed while still locking their lips together. As if they were mocking death itself. They were not separated even in death. Tears appeared beside Poetrie's eyes as she bid goodbye to two more of her friends and killed the N ranker she was facing.

Micheal had been taking more and more and burdens on his own body to increase the chances of his friends survival. He had a unique ability and many magic items he got from his family, so he was the person with the most kills in this battlefield.

But his body was quickly reaching its limit but he was unaware of this fact because of his unique skill that allowed him to stay in peak conditions for as long as he wanted, but if he reached his body's limit, he would immediately die.

Suddenly just as Michael was going to face off against another enemy, he immediately dropped death. Before dying he was only able to think -

"Ah, so I reached my limits huh. I thought I would be able to last for longer. I guess I was overestimating myself. Hehe. I think it was a good life. I will be going first, my beloved friends and family. I will be praying for all of you from the other side. Be it in this life or the next, I hope you all will be able to find happiness. My only regret is that I was unable to confess my feelings to the General. But I'm sure I will not see the general where I am going, so it's goodbye. Please stay safe."

Arthur, Heithor and Rita were fighting back to back. As Rita had only one eye, Arthur and Heithor were doing their best covering her blind spots. But one of the B rank soldiers took out an A rank magic scroll and used it on the trio. Arthur and Heithor were definitely not strong enough to take it head in as they were still a bit away from reaching B rank.

So Rita took this attack all by herself and was able to somehow deal with it in exchange for getting badly hurt. But her suddenly going to the front created more blind spots that Arthur and Heithor were unable to cover and Rita was pierced in her side from that blind spot.

Even after getting such a bad wound, she still fought for some time with just pure willpower but finally died due to excessive blood loss after killing 7 enemies or so.

After Rita's death, the pressure increased exponentially on Arthur and Heithor. In this life and death situation, Arthur was finally able to break through his bottleneck and reached the B rank. But all that was able to accomplish was to add a few more kills on the enemies rank but Arthur and Heithor still died as the number of enemies was just too much.

Dunhen, Nicole, Umeoka, Shelly and Kayla were fighting together but got separated from their other comrades. They were cooperating with each other extremely well so were able to kill many enemies. And with potion supply from Umeoka, they were not too badly hurt even after fighting continuously for so long.

But now Umeoka's stockpile of potion was almost empty and the others were also spent. So currently they were in extreme danger. Kayla was doing her best to keep everyone healed with the little bit of healing magic she was capable of using but it was definitely not enough.

The enemy took the opportunity of them being too weakened and tired and used a chain like A rank artifact to trap all of them. It was evident from their lewd smiles and how they were trying to loose their pants what these scumbags were trying to do as there were three very beautiful girls here.

Seeing that Dunhen asked everyone if they were willing to give up their life to kill these vulgar scumbags and all of them immediately replied with yes. For the girls it was better to die than to get humiliated in the hands of these lowlives and Nicole had no intention to leave the family that supported him in every way, behind.

Immediately Dunhen cast a forbidden spell that he had found inside an ancient labyrinth. It turned all the life force of a person immediately and gave an insane amount of power boost. But the person who accepted this spell would only be able to live for 20 minutes at most. After that even their bodies would turn into dust.

After accepting the spells all of them became incomparably stronger than before and were able to break the chain-like artifact. Their powers were almost equivalent to an A ranker at this point. So the five of them immediately rampaged and killed all the scums present there. There were still 3 minutes left before their end so they immediately made a decision and immediately went to the battlefield where Eldriana was fighting. That targeted the A ranker who was already seriously injured by Eldriana and they ended up killing him and just after that they turned into dust particles and disappeared. But before that they all looked at Eldriana and gave her a big smile while mumbling "Thank You". Seeing that Eldriana almost ended up crying for the first time in her life but soon hardened her expression and continued to fight. She could not let her subordinates sacrifices to go to waste. She at least needed to kill all these scums.

Just like that Eldriana lost almost all her subordinates and was sinking further and further into the pits of despair.
