The next day, all of the girls went to the Forgotten Ruins of the Bygone Days to check it out. They were not planning to go deep inside the dungeon for the day and were only planning to lightly check out the strength of the undead inside.

This ruins was like the inside of a large building and many doors. Each of the doors leads to a different type of undead monster. Some of the doors had undead in a small group inside and other doors might just have a single powerful undead inside it. That was the reason why this place was so good for training as one was able to choose the types of opponents here.

One did need a detailed map to properly navigate in this dungeon and to find the doors with the desired monsters inside it. There were many people who were selling maps for the particular dungeon for quite some price, but the authenticity of those maps was questionable. So Elena did the right thing and bought a map from the explorer office itself. This did cost her a little bit more money but this map was definitely authentic and up to date. So that extra bit of money was worth it.

Other than being a good place for training, this ruin also had the lowest death count among all the other ruins. That was also one of the reasons why this place was so famous among the explorers. The only real dangers were locked inside the door and the corridors of this place were completely devoid of any danger. So a person just needed to do the right amount of investigation and needed to buy a decent map. Doing just that much was enough for them to navigate this ruin without any danger at all.

Dalia and Eldriana also chose their opponents carefully. Both of them were going to challenge two undeads that had the same fighting style as them. For Dalia it was a lich with powerful fire magic and for Eldriana it was a grand skeletal monk who specialised in close quarters combat. And as for Elena, she was going to check out a bunch of them who had interesting abilities or used rare weapons.

The lich that Dalia was facing not only had powerful fire magic, it was also very much resistant to the fire element. So she had a harder time defeating it than she had expected. The information about the magic resistance was not mentioned in the map, so Dalia had a more intense training than intended.

As for Eldriana, she did not face any surprises. Her fight with the skeletal monk was very straightforward and both of them just tried to beat each other up. At the end, Eldriana was proven to be superior and she got the victory. After getting the pearl necklace in that auction, Eldriana was able to use the natural energy of this world too. Her body was very suitable for this type of energy to gather, so after just a little stimulation Eldriana was able to again use the Natural Energy even in another world. This gave a very good boost to her combat capability.

As for Elena, she checked out a total of 11 rooms by the time both Dalia and Eldriana were finished with their fight. Most of the doors she checked had undead who were utilising weapons she had never seen before. In her life, she had seen many types of weapons and some of them were extremely weird too. But still she was able to find some weapons that she had never encountered in other worlds.

Even though the sword was Elena's main weapon of choice, it was never her only weapon of choice. There could be opponents who had specific ability to counter a sword and in that case, Elena would not be able to utilise her full fighting potential against that opponent. So she never relied on only a single type of weapon and always tried to master other weapons at least to a usable degree.

Among the weapons that Elena was able to find here, only a single type was extremely useful and she had the intention to master the use of this weapon. This weapon looked like a ball with two extremely sharp and pointed spikes coming out of the sides. The front of the ball had a very viscous layer that was extremely resistant to any physical damage.

The user of this weapon used this function to endure powerful attacks and then to utilise the gap that would be created because of this powerful attack. It was quite a complex weapon to use even if the function of the weapon sounded simple enough.

Other than the doors with unique weapons, she also checked out the doors which had undead she had not seen before. One example of such an undead would be a type of undead called Kasaya. This was an undead that was unique to this world. It would be created when a whole organisation suddenly died for some reason and if the relation between the members of the organisation was very good, then this undead would be created by their collective resentment. This type of undead tended to be much stronger than their living counterparts. Finding these types of interesting new discoveries was the reason why Elena just loved visiting various new worlds.

After Elena, Dalia and Eldriana were done with checking the Forgotten Ruins of the Bygone Days, they still had quite some time left. So they decided to check the Primitive Forest ruins too. This place mostly had insects inside so it was not a very good place to practice martial arts but a martial art that was completely useless against a certain type of enemy was not a good martial art. So Eldriana needed to experience fighting against this type of opponents too to really perfect her martial arts.

And this Primitive Forest ruin was excellent for Dalia to level up. Her fire magic was extremely effective here so she could use this place to farm experience points to reach her target quite quickly. This place also had quite a high amount of alchemical ingredients inside it, so Dalia was mostly going to visit this place instead of the Forgotten Ruins, Elena was sure about that.

This Primitive Forest was not really a complete forest but it was actually a forest grown on the destroyed remains of some kind of civilization. Other than insects and plant type enemies, the only other type of opponent that the girls encountered was a large white snake with extremely potent poison.

If the Forgotten Ruin was one of the safest ruins of this city, this Primitive Forest was one of the most dangerous ones with the highest death rate. The enemy encounter rate here was somewhat random so it was possible for someone to encounter a powerful monster even in a low level region. But it was still possible to somewhat guess the level of a region by the density of the origin essence of a place.

The girls did not go too deep and soon returned after getting an initial idea about this place. Next Elena was going to make a plan for them to follow using this information which would signal the beginning of their training.
