This city did not have many things that a tourist might want to visit. The city was mostly very practical and boring. So, the girls did not have any sight to see here. For that reason they started to check various shops in the city. Most of the shops were targeted toward explorers and as Elena, Eldriana and Dalia were also technically explorers, they were able to find many shops that they found interesting.

First they went inside a shop selling various types of alchemical items. It was Dalia's request to check this shop out. She was planning to not only be an explorer in this city but also wanted to sell some of her own potions. So checking the market beforehand was an important step.

There were many shops selling alchemical items as that was one of the most needed items for any explorer and it could save their life in critical situations. The shop that they entered was one of the larger ones among them. Even though it was a large shop, the customer traffic here was significantly lower than other smaller shops.

After entering the shop the smells of herbs and medicine came to everyone's nose. Dalia was very familiar with this smell and she was able to tell just from the smell alone that the potions of this place were quite high quality. Just as it looked from outside, there were not many customers inside, only about 15 or 16 people but all of them were quite high ranking.

Dalia went to one of the counters and enquired about the cost of the potions and asked if she was allowed to test the effectiveness of the potions or not. She had expected to be rejected but the shop clerk readily agreed. She mainly tested three main kinds of potions that explorers regularly used, which were Stamina Recovery Potion, Healing Potion and Detoxification Potion. And after testing them she was very impressed as all of them were good quality potions.

Now that she was assured of the quality of the potions from this place, she did not need to create potions herself. Actually Dalia liked to research new types of potions more than she liked to create general potions in batch, so she was happy that she was able to find a good supplier so soon. She immediately bought a batch for their future ruin expeditions. It was a bit pricey but Dalia judged the cost of the potion to be adequate as the quality was also quite high.

After exiting that shop, Dalia checked out a few more alchemy shops and soon found out the reason why the traffic was lower in the large shop. The smaller shop had potions that were lower in quality, like really lower so their price was quite cheap too. So low level explorers and inexperienced explorers visited these shops work low quality potion more. Even if they knew that the quality of potion was lower in those places they would still visit the smaller shops as according to them, quality was not very important. As the type of potion was the same, even if one was of a lower quality it did not matter much.

But that was a completely wrong line of thinking. The quality of a potion was very very important. There was a reason why higher ranking and experienced explorers did not visit the smaller shops and only bought their potion from good large shops. They knew the importance of a high quality potion.

After checking the alchemical shops, next they went to visit the weapon shops of this city. This time it was Elena's request. Just like it was with the alchemical shops, weapon shops were also divided into larger and smaller shops with larger ones having a lower traffic but high income and smaller ones having a higher traffic but a low income.

But this time the reason why explorers were unable to visit the large shop was different. In this case they knew that a higher quality weapon was better so their lack of knowledge was not the reason. It was actually because they were too poor to afford high quality weapons.

Elena was quite impressed by the collection of weapons this city had to offer. Even the lower grade weapons of the smaller shops were quite well made. This city was truly proving itself as a city made for explorers. She brought several swords, spears and other weapons just to encourage the craftsmen even though none of the girls had any need for them.

The main reason why the weapon smithing industry was so developed in this city was because one of the ruins produced a rare mineral called Calesvitine which was an excellent metal to create sharp or pointed weapons. That metal also had a high magic conductivity, so they could also be used for creating magic weapons. The deeper parts of that same ruins also produced Illidinium which was an even better metal for creating weapons. So many blacksmiths gathered in this city to work with those metals and they were also able to learn a good amount of money because of the explorers. And just like that they all became permanent residents of the city and the weapon industry became very developed there.

After browsing through several weapon shops Elena was finally satisfied. Next she asked Eldriana if she wanted to visit any of the shops but she answered in negative. Eldriana did not have many hobbies, so she was not interested in any particular type of shop. So Elena once again chose their next destination.

She had noticed a peculiar shop which was selling something called charms and Elena was curious to see what it was.

There were very few shops selling charms and all of them had similar size and good flow of customers. After checking the charms, Elena found out that they were something very similar to talismans. Instead of paper a special kind of leaf was used for this method. Elena also found out that only a few people who had the job of Charm maker were able to create charms so they were quite rare but highly sought after. Elena bought all types of available charms as souvenirs. It was something unique to this world so a collector like Elena was obviously going to buy them.

Next finally Elena went to the place she was most excited about. It was the shop that was selling various types of magical tools. Many runic items were also getting sold here. Elena was quite excited to check them out.

There were not many shops selling magic items in this city. But all the magic item shops were large with many people visiting them. Magic items were always very famous so these shops never lacked customers. Elena was also a good example of an eager customer.

She was quite satisfied after buying a lot of magic items by spending a lot of money. She did that not only for her hobby but also because these items were quite high tech and Elena could use them as reference in her sci-fi civilization.

Then finally all of them returned back to their base to spend the night. The real adventure would begin the next day.
