FMC Ch 336

Shiraori was a snow wolf living in the cold mountains of Asta with her family and tribe. She was part of a small tribe consisting of about 100 wolves and their leader was a beast captain with an Arshante but he was not very strong. But even though he was not very strong, as the only awakened beast of her tribe, that person had the highest authority in their community. Snow wolves did not have a permanent place to live and they roamed around the whole mountain and settled down for a month or two in any place that was even a little bit habitable.

As these wolves lived in a very cold weather and as they were wild beasts with very little intelligence and mostly lived depending on their instincts, they were very very loose with sexual relationships. There was not even a concept of husband and wife in their community and any female wolves was fair game for any make wolves, they did not even fight to choose a mate like it was with most of the wolf tribes. Here all the males were free to mate with any and all females and vice versa. So Shiraori had no idea who her father was.

In her early childhood, she had mostly lived a normal life. He learned hunting with other wolf pups and ran around the mountain like the little troublemaker she was. But everything changed when she awakened an Arshante and it was a stronger one than what the snow wolf leader had.

That immediately made the leader fearful that he was going to lose his position to this little pup. Immediately he made up his mind and attacked Shiraori when she was still unfamiliar with her powers. She was hurt badly but was still able to escape with her life because of her newly awakened power which turned out to be space manipulation.

Shiraori escaped by teleporting to a random direction and a random distance, so she had no idea where she actually was. That was the reason why it took her 3 whole weeks to return to the place where her tribe was.

The only reason why she had returned was to take her mother away from this place. In the last three weeks, she had gotten used to her powers and now she was confident that she would be able to defeat the pack leader if they fought again.

But after returning to the same location, she found this place to be empty. It was too early to be leaving this location as this place was still very much habitable. But soon she found out the reason.

It looked like some of the wolves were dissatisfied with the leader for hurting a strong awakened wolf that might be able to take their small tribe to a new height. Obviously the leader was not happy with it and immediately killed them to make an example of them. Shiraori learned that from one of the wolves who was barely able to survive after acting like he was already dead. But after just three days he also died as Shiraori had no way to heal him. But before dying he told her what happened to her mother.

The pack leader made Shiraori's mother to be a traitor because her daughter betrayed him. Then for two whole months he tortured her by making her a plaything for the other wolves who were his loyal followers and then killed her in a very cruel way when few of the snow wolves tried to protest against him. She was completely dismembered by the leader's wind powers and that was why Shiraori was unable to find even her body to mourn.

Now Shiraori became determined to take revenge by killing the pack leader. That was the only way she came up with to soothe her mother's soul.

Just as she was about to start searching for the current location of her tribe, immediately a gate appeared in front of her and she jumped right into it and entered a gate for the very first time in her life.

Shiraori did know about the gates and it was very much a common knowledge in the current time. And this gate turned out to be a very dangerous type of gate that only allowed entry and not exit. She needed to clear this gate if she wanted to get out of here. As she entered the gate way too quickly, she had no idea about the rank of this gate so she was extremely careful when investigating it.

Very quickly she noticed several things which were weird. According to her knowledge, even though it was not always true, the size of the inside of a gate was supposed to be proportional to the power of the monsters inside. But here the monsters were not very powerful but the inside of this place was extremely huge.

That was not the only weird thing but she did not think too much about it and just investigated it more thoroughly. She then noticed more things. First of all, all the monsters of this gate were wolf types. There were various species of wolves in various different colours but all of them were from the wolf family.

Other than that she also noticed that the deeper she went in this gate, the stronger the wolves became. And in the deepest part of this place she found a temple time structure praying to some kind of animal totem with a sacred aura around it. There she also found the boss of the gate which was a giant black wolf.

Shiraori started to fight with the wolves and after fighting for three days and three nights, only she and the boss wolf were left. They faced off against each other and after a hard battle Shiraori emerged victorious but at the cost of losing her left front leg and right eye.

After the boss was killed, immediately the totem of the beast in the middle of the temple lit up. Then the totem broke and turned into light particles and entered her body. She tried to dodge it but was unable to. After that she heard some voices inside her mind and lost consciousness soon afterwards.

After waking up Shiraori was very confused as now she had a voice inside her head. But after the voice explained to her what it was and that it was capable of making her powerful, she accepted it and left the dungeon. She was determined to do anything to become stronger and to gain strength. She was extremely intelligent for a wolf so she immediately understood that what happened with her was very abnormal and she needed to take advantage of this become stronger.
