San Zin-hoo was a 21 year old young man who was able to awaken his Arshante and he started working as a hunter after that. His father was also an awakened hero who had died after getting drunk and disrespecting a higher up. He was not a good man and basically kidnapped and raped his mother to make her pregnant but at least he earned a lot. Losing that income was devastating for an alone housewife like her.

Not only that but after the death of that hero, all his evil deeds came to light. That obviously allowed San and his mother to gain some sympathy but sympathy cannot feed a person. As this hero turned out to be an evil hero, the hero association threw him out of the organisation after his death. That was devastating for his now widowed wife as with this she stopped getting the help money she was supposed to get from the association.

So the mother of two started to work extra hard in order to support his two children. She was unwilling to sell her body for money and with little to no education, the only type of job she had available for her was dangerous ones, like visiting a mana rich zone or to become a test subject.

But why did she choose such dangerous sounding jobs. She could have just become a cashier or something. But she had no other way but to take on these dangerous jobs. That was because he deadbeat husband had given her a last gift before dying and that was a debt of millions of Yon.

So she worked her hardest and just when San Zin-hoo turned to age, she was unable to bear the burden anymore and fell ill. Since that day Zin-hoo took on the responsibility to support both her mother and younger sister. He did all kinds of hard jobs and was able to barely provide for his family. But then he awakened and thought that it was the change he needed to rise in life.

But this also turned out to just be a false hope as the arshante he awakened turned out to be super weak. So he had to risk his life inside the dangerous gates now to just barely be able to make a little bit of money, most of which would be used to treat his own injuries that he suffered inside those gates. So yes, his life did not change and instead became more miserable after he awakened.

This was the person Elena had chosen to be the human guardian of this world and the person who would be getting "The Player System". All in all he was a good man in heart and as he had a hard life Elena was willing to give him a second chance to truly change his life.

So San Zin-hoo entered a low level gate for which the association had called him. As a low ranked hunter, he was only capable of entering the low ranking gates. So whenever an easy gate appeared, San Zin-hoo was likely to get a call from the association. He had nothing but gratitude to the association for taking care of him this way.

This gate was just like a normal low ranking gate which San had experienced many times before. This time he was extremely happy as he was able to kill three of the monsters called goblins and one of them dropped a rare drop. He would definitely be able to sell that for a high price and he would not need to worry about money at least for some time.

But then an anomaly happened. This gate did not show any signs of disappearing even after the boss was defeated. This was extremely weird and none of the hunters had experienced something like this before. Then the leader of the party who had awakened many years ago and had been raiding gates since it started to appear exclaimed -

"I think this place has an extra gate."

Extra gates were gates that had two gates mixed together. Just clearing one gate was not enough and any party challenging it needed to also clear the second gate to completely get rid of the extra gate. This was a very rare phenomenon but also a very profitable one. There was a rumour that a small group of independent hunters ran into such a gate and was able to gain a lot of treasures and even an Arshante stone which made them super rich. So much so that they were then able to create a medium sized guild with all that money.

Hearing about this all the hunters became very happy. That was because according to the rumours an extra gate was not more difficult than the first gate but offered a lot of rewards. So the hunters had no intention and gave up on this golden goose and they went forward to clear the whole thing.

Soon they found themselves in front of a large door. They had never seen something like this before. That was probably because these people got the chance to raid weak low level gates and that was the reason why they were unfamiliar with this. But anyone who had played a little bit of video game could tell that it was a gate leading to the boss room.

One of the men was unwilling to continue with this gate raid as he was getting very bad vibes, so he left. But everyone else did not and opened the gate sigh excited expression. But as soon as they did that, they found themselves blinded by a dazzling light and all of them had lost consciousness.

Even though Elena had chosen San Zin-hoo to be "The Player", she still wanted to give him some kind of test to overcome before giving him this power. She did not like the idea of just handing over powers for no reason. That was why she was going to give him a hard test with the belief that if her judgement was not wrong he should be able to pass this test. If he could not then Elena would accept the fact that her judgement was wrong and she would find a different person to get the player system.

But, it turned out that Elena was really a good judge of character even without using her broken cheat powers. San Zin-hoo was not only able to pass her test, he performed exceptionally well and proved himself to be a perfect candidate to take the responsibility to guard the world that had given birth to him.

San Zin-hoo was not the only person who faced Elena's test. The other people who were there when the gate opened also took the test and performed terribly. It was not like everyone did badly but no one other than San Zin-hoo was able to even get the minimum score Elena had decided as the passing grade.

So after opening his eyes and finding himself lying inside a large hall, San Zin-hoo showed a massage panel asking him a question of whether he was willing to become a player or not. If immediately accepted it and as soon as that happened he fainted again.

Then when he woke up once again he found himself inside the hospital. There he was able to understand the system he had gained. After that his eyes started to burn with passion and determination and he said in a cheesy voice -

"In this world, Only I Level Up."
