So to face her last trial, Tomoe went to the Frostridge mountains. This area was the most harsh region of this floor and the cold weather was very problematic. Especially for Tomoe who mostly relied on her speed, this area would pose a great challenge as it would slow her down with the frost. Not only that but the monsters living in this area were also stronger. That was the reason why Elena had chosen this as her last trial.

Elena knew that Tomoe would get stronger after she was able to mend her mistakes. That was the reason why she scaled the difficulty of her last challenge if compared to the previous two. This level of difficulty was just right to put enough pressure on Tomoe to bring the best out of her.

After reaching the Frostridge mountains, Tomoe was advancing with extreme caution. She knew that this area was more dangerous than anything she had faced before. So all her nerves were on full alert. She was ready to draw her sword at any time.

To complete her last trial, Elena had just told her to fight a monster of this area but nothing else. It was a very vague statement and Tomoe had no idea about how long she should fight. But after thinking about it she realised one thing. Elena was doing all this for her own good. If she thought from that angle then she had a good idea what would be a good outcome that Elena would consider to be a success. Obviously that would be if Tomoe could completely master her sword.

With that objective in mind, Tomoe decided not to search for the weakest monster living in the area to fight. Instead she decided that any monster that she would come across next would be her last opponent. She left it to her fate.

That turned out to be a bad decision as the monster she encountered next was a level 313 Ganyamaru or a large white frost bear. It was extremely big and powerful but at the same time it was also quite fast for its size. It was definitely going to be a terrible challenge for Tomoe.

The most wise decision in this situation would have been to run away but Tomoe was not the type of girl who would run away after making up her mind. So she bravely faced off against the bear with her sword and her body clad in purple lightning.

She used the heat generated by the lightning to get rid of the ice and frost around her. That way she was able to prevent the loss of her agility because of the frost. She did need to use some extra mana for that though.

This way she was able to gain an advantage against this big bad bear at least in terms of speed. That way by concentrating her hardest, she was at least able to fight against this superior opponent.

She knew that only fighting and surviving against it would not help her in any way, so she started to slowly test her sword skills against the powerful opponent so that it would improve. That turned out to be very effective and she slowly but surely started to perfect her sword art.

After about 6 hours of non stop fighting, Tomoe was in her last legs. Her was badly hurt and her mana was about to hit rock bottom. She needed to run away right this moment or she would not get the chance to do so and would die in this monster's hand.

But she was just a step away from fulfilling her dreams and her instincts told her that if she ran away here then she would never be able to fulfill her dreams ever again. So she greeted her teeth and continued the battle.

Suddenly she felt like something clicked in her mind and her moves immediately elevated to the next level. Her sword thrusts and slashes became more dangerous and accurate so much so that she was able to push back the big bear for a moment.

It was only for a moment though as the bear was taken by surprise. But when it started to fight her again, it became a match between equals. But now Tomoe was not really getting dominated by this bear and was fighting it on equal ground.

That was because she had finally managed to complete her sword art and had reached a new stage in it. In Elena's judgement, she was now in the expert grade in terms of swordsmanship. With that improvement, her self restrictions on her levels were finally taken down and she immediately reached the S ranks. That was the reason why she was able to suddenly fight this powerful monster on equal ground.

But as she was already quite tired from the battle before she was not able to defeat that bear. But it was not her loss either as it was the bear who decided to withdraw from the battle after seeing that she suddenly got stronger and fighting her anymore would be a bad and dangerous idea. So, Tomoe could proudly take it as her victory.

Just as she sat down on the ground in tiredness after the bear ran away, Elena suddenly appeared behind her and started to pat her head. Normally Tomoe would not like to get treated like a child but in the current situation and in her happiness for fulfilling her dreams, she did not mind the head patting and even enjoyed it.

Elena was the biggest reason why she was able to achieve this amazing accomplishment, so getting headpatted and praised by her was like a compliment for her. She even hugged Elena to relish in her joy.

Tomoe was able to calm down only after a whole hour. That was truly a very short amount of time to enjoy the feeling of the joy after fulfilling a person's decade long dream but for a serious warrior like Tomoe, it was still an overreaction. So she was a little bit embarrassed.

After reaching the S rank, she truly felt how amazingly powerful this rank was. Even though it was just an increase of a single level, she felt like she would be able to beat her previous self without much trouble. In this world the increase in a realm was a special deal and S rank was the first time when one would be able to truly feel it.

Even though, Elena had fulfilled her primary objective for getting Tomoe to the S rank, she also had the intention of clearing this floor a little bit to make the job a bit easier for the other ladies. This would also be a great demonstration for Tomoe to see that realm of sword art she needed to reach in the future.

So Elena told Tomoe to observe carefully and lifted her sword up. At first she wanted to use a transcendental sword art but then stopped herself from doing that as it would have been too strong even if she restricted her level to be level 1. So she decided to just use a peerless grade one on which she had perfect control.

Tomoe watched in wonder as suddenly the sky lit up with multiple lights as Elena executed her move called "Sky full of Stars". Immediately, all the S rank monsters living in the Frostridge mountains died immediately and Tomoe watched that insane sight with stunned amazement.
