After leaving the city Elena, Tomoe and Turin went to the trial ground mentioned by the group of adventurers. This place was not too far away from the city, so it did not take them that long to reach that place. It was called a divine place but from the outside it looked extremely normal, even underwhelming. It looked like a temple but a very small and common one. It did not even look like an ancient dilapidated one but just like a common temple one would be able to find anywhere.

Only after entering this place, one would be able to see the true greatness of this place. The inside of the temple looked like a super big and luxurious arena. There was no way a small temple like that was able to house this large place so spatial magic was obviously used in this place.

There were a total of five statues at the edge of the arena. According to the information that Elena was able to get, these statues would be the challenge that they needed to overcome. All of these statues were extremely powerful even alone, so all five of them together were too much for most of the people challenging this place.

Tomoe held her sword and Turin returned to his larger form just as the statues started moving. Then all five of these jumped down on the arena and the stone-like colour and texture disappeared from them and they turned into real beasts.

One of them was a giant bear with crimson coloured spikes coming out from its back. It was the biggest and most scary looking among the beasts here. It almost looked like a walking mountain with its size. There was also a snake which was probably the longest. It had a deep green colour and just looking at it was enough to know that it was extremely poisonous.

Other than these two big Bois, there were also three smaller ones. But even though they were small, they were not weak at all. There was a small cat-like beast which was almost translucent in colour. Even when it was just standing still, it was hard to notice it, so one could guess how troublesome this little thing would be if it started to run around at full speed.

Another one of the beasts was a scorpion with three stings. All three stings had three different colours of red, violet and green so these things were also poisonous. Vampires did have high resistance to poison but at the same time if a poison was able to get past that resistance, they were extra weak to it. Antidotes had very little effect on them. So using many poisonous beasts in a trial that was targeted at vampires was a very good idea.

Then the last beast was an extremely gorgeous looking white fox. It was standing in its area with a very proud pose and it was extremely cute. It had five tails and they were also extremely fluffy looking. But someone should not get deceived by this beast as this fox was a very blood thirsty beast that liked to make its prey unconscious with its illusions and then eat them while they were in a dreamland. Vampires were a very favourite dish of this beast because of their regeneration ability as for that reason, these beasts were able to use the vampires as their food source for a longer time.

The battle started with Turin and the large bear starting to fight each other physically. Even though the bear was slightly larger than even the current Turin, it was ultimately not a S rank beast, so it was soon dominated in terms of pure power. Then the fox helped the bear with its illusion techniques but Turin was only slightly bothered by them and his fighting capability did not drop at all.

Seeing that the bear was almost about to die, the other three beasts also attacked Turin. Tomoe was about to also attack but Elena stopped her. This place was good but as the beasts here were not of S rank, this would not be much of a challenge for them. In that case, two S rankers joining force was absolutely unnecessary.

With the other three beasts joining the fight, finally Turin started to feel a bit of pressure. There was a special power between the five beasts that made them stronger when all five of them fought together. That was the reason why five max A rank beasts were able to fight almost equally against a S rank powerhouse like Turin.

The snake was trying to use poison but was unable to pierce Turin's super tough dragon scales. So it was mostly using its long body to entangle Turin to restrict his movements. The scorpion was also unable to pierce the scale so it was using its exceptional defense to protect the other beasts whose defensive power was very low.

Among all the five beasts, the cat was actually most troublesome. With its small and nimble body and super fast speed, it was running all around Turin at a very high speed. It was hard for Turin to also move fast with his big body so he was unable to keep up with the cat. And due to the special nature of this cat beast, Turin was losing sight of it most often and was getting scratched every time that happened.

So Turin was not having an easy time. Even though he was superior to all these beasts in one on one fights, Turin was unable to handle them easily when they were working together and these beasts were working together very very well.

But still Turin continued fighting them and slowly but surely went toward the victory. Just as he had almost killed the bear, something astonishing happened. The snake was finally able to pierce Turin's scale through a gap in his scale structure. The scorpion also took advantage of that and pierced Turin with its stings. Turin had too much confidence on his scales so he was not defending against these attacks at all and that was the reason why he was unable to block or dodge them.

Fortunately Dragon's poison resistance was even better than the vampires so he was not affected by the poison immediately. But still this mistake made Turin very angry and he lashed out in rage. Dragons were the type of creature who were able to release more power when they were honest with their emotions. So the angry Turin was quite powerful. In just a few moments, he was able to smash the scorpions carapace, tear the snake in two and bite the bear's head off. Then it just vaporised the fox and cat with a well aimed dragon's breath.

Just like that Turin was able to win but at the same time he used up too much of his powers and was dead tired after that. But he was at least able to learn a lot of things from this experience.
