Everyone inside the carriage was surprised as to why the carriage suddenly stopped. They still needed some time to reach the noble estate so there must be some kind of trouble. Vasak went out to check what the problem was after apologising for the disturbance.
He returned soon afterwards though with a troubled look on his face. When Alisia asked why he looked so troubled, he replied that Alisia's cousin was blocking the road and he was the reason why the carriage stopped. Hearing that an unpleasant look appeared on Alisia's face too.
Tomoe was a bit curious as to why a kind girl like Alisia was making such a face after hearing about her cousin but it looked like a sensitive matter so she did not ask anything about it. But Alisia noticed the curious gaze of Tomoe and gave her an embarrassed smile. Then she told Tomoe that her cousin was a very unpleasant person and his personality was exactly what he disliked. That was the reason why her mood became bad after hearing about him.
Then Alisia ordered Vasak to get rid of him and he was also given permission to use force if needed. Alisia was in a very good mood and she had no interest in ruining that for a lowlife like this cousin of hers. Vasak bowed slightly and left. Then the sound of a man's shouting was heard outside but it was soon silenced. After some time Vasak returned normally as if nothing had happened and the carriage started to run again.
Elena and Tomoe did not ask any questions about what happened as they knew Alisia did not like to talk about this topic. Instead Elena even started to ask Alisia various questions and made her to engage in an exciting conversation where Alisia was explaining her ancestor's glory to Elena. This way Alisia forgot about the unpleasant thing that just happened and her good mood returned.
...
Time easily passes when all the ladies were busy talking with one another and soon they had reached the mansion where the Utreyana family lived. As for Turin, he was sleeping the whole time. This was definitely a very large mansion worthy of an ancient family like this but as the grand temple was just behind it, the glamour of this mansion was somewhat diminished for that reason.
Vasak was the first one to step out and open the door for the ladies. Alisia was the first one to step out and then Tomoe followed behind her. Turin was still sleeping soundly so Elena carried him in her hands while stepping out. A group of maids were waiting for them in the house entrance and greeted all of them with a perfect bow. A mature and beautiful looking maid stepped out and greeted Alisia again.
This mature lady turned out to be the maid who was in charge of Alisia's needs. Her mother had passed away in an unfortunate accident when Alisia was very young and this maid was the one who had taken care of her in her mother's absence. So to Alisia, this maid named Grace was her second mother.
She greeted Grace with a very happy expression on her face and seeing that Grace's kind smile also became bigger. Grace then hugged Alisia and those two spent some time embracing each other. Then Grace took the duty of escorting everyone from Vasak's hands and took the ladies to their rooms.
Not only was the Utreyana mansion extremely big, special space expansion magic had been used in the rooms to make them even bigger. So this mansion alone was capable of housing over ten thousand people. Elena and Tomoe were given one such room which was as large as a regular sized house inside. This was more than enough for both of them to live comfortably.
They were asked if Tomoe and Elena wanted different rooms but Tomoe disagreed and Elena was also fine with living with Tomoe, so finally they decided not to get separate rooms. But seeing this place Elena got an idea to buy a property in this city and to use space expansion magic to create something like this.
Elena had been keeping her huge spending habits to check as she did not want Tomoe to pick that habit. She still had made some purchases here and there but she had not gotten the chance to spend her money like crazy. That was the reason why Elena suddenly had the wish to turn into a profligate young mistress again.
But for the time being she kept her desires in check as she knew this would be a bad habit for anyone else. Even Elena would not entertain this kind of thought if she did not have practically an unlimited amount of money to spend. So she did not act upon her desire for the time being and just got into a bath with Tomoe.
After freshening themselves up, Elena and Tomoe called for the maid who was waiting for their orders just outside the room and asked her to take them to Alisia's room. Alisia also went to her room to have a bath and to clean herself after not getting the chance to properly do that for a long time.
After escorting Elena and Tomoe to Alisia's room, the maid knocked on the door for a few times and soon an answer came from inside. The maid opened the door and invited both of them to enter. There was nothing visible behind the door except for a black screen. This was because of the spatial expansion that was performed on this room. Elena and Tomoe stepped up and entered the room. The maid closed the door behind them.
...
The inside of the room was even larger than Elena's and Tomoe's room which was already quite large. There was an extra large bed in the middle of the room and several attached rooms too. They were bathroom, kitchen, dressing room etc. There were several couches in the an area of the room and Alisia was sitting there with a table full of snacks and tea. As soon as Elena and Tomoe entered the room, she stood up and greeted them like a well behaved young lady and invited them for some tea. Grace was standing behind her like a perfect maid and that made Alisia to look even more graceful. It was really very impressive.
When Alisia was on the ship, she did not dress very extravagantly and her mannerisms were quite normal. But now that she had returned to being a young lady of a noble family, it became clear that this graceful behaviour was normal for her and the casual mannerisms she had was something she had picked up in a little amount of time just by observing the sailors. She was truly an exceptional young lady.
Elena and Tomoe then joined her in having some tea and to enjoy some conversations. That was how Elena and Tomoe spent their first day in this ancient city and they were going to go out to visit the city the next day.
