The battle in the marquis' manner came to a very sudden and quick end. That was because the marquis himself had appeared in his house after learning that a few powerful people had trespassed into his home. With a S ranker on the scene, none of the intruders were able to do anything and were immediately restrained. But interrogating them was a lost cause as no matter what the marquis did, they did not reveal anything about themselves. Even the innate control of a high ranking vampire was useless. That could only mean that a vampire of higher rank than a marquis was behind all these which was definitely a scary prospect.

Even though the fight in the marquis' manner came to a quick stop, that was not the case for the fight that was happening between the three S rankers. Tomoe had already gone all out and her body had completely turned into lightning. This boosted her speed by a huge margin and even the sleepy boy was having a lot of trouble keeping up with her.

As for the blonde lady, she was completely on the defensive. Her physical strength was impressive but her speed was really lacking. So she was not able to keep up with Tomoe's movements anymore and was getting continuously attacked one-sidedly. She was still able to barely hold on by using a large sword, a large axe and large hammer as her shields.

The lightning that Tomoe was using was not regular lightning but a special kind of lightning mixed with her sword aura. This lightning had various special qualities and one of them was healing prevention. That was also one of the reasons why the vampires were not able to gain an upper hand against Tomoe.

Most of the vampires did not care for slight wounds and even worse injuries were not a big deal to them. With their innate racial healing ability, they were all able to fight without fearing getting hurt in the process. Skills and abilities which could interfere with this self healing were very rare but at the same time very effective.

Tomoe's lightning was able to make this healing process a lot harder. So both of the vampires were unwilling to receive her attacks without care. But their normal fighting style consisted of taking some attacks to inflict more wounds on the opponent. As they were unable to follow this fighting style, their movements were getting a bit sloppy.

Tomoe was taking advantage of this and was able to attack them in their weak spots. From all these it sounded like Tomoe was in great advantage but that was not the case. Fighting two people where both of them were not much weaker than her was very very difficult.

Actually the sleepy boy was most probably able to match her in battle. After Tomoe was able to corner the blonde lady, this boy stopped paying attention to Charles and finally completely focused on the fight with Tomoe. Immediately he revealed his true fighting prowess and Tomoe was unable to push the blonde lady back anymore.

So all in all, this battle was in a stalemate. But that did not last long and the reason for that was outside interference. After the marquis' mansion was attacked, Utreyana had ordered everyone to search the whole city for disturbance. Even though a barrier was erected here, Elena had not done anything too special to keep everyone away. So when the guards and adventurers started to actively search the whole city, they were able to find this suspicious place surrounded by a powerful barrier.

As the barrier was too strong, the adventurers who had managed to find this did not approach it lightly. Instead they informed a S ranker about this information as this barrier looked to be on that level. It was Hanawa, the powerful water mage who came to check this out.

Just as she was about to inspect the barrier, it suddenly broke apart and the figure of smiling Elena appeared before her. This freaked her out for a moment but Hanawa was able to calm down after seeing the beautiful lady before her. After working with Elena in the last mission, she was extremely trusting of her and was sure that with Elena present here, nothing too serious would happen in this location.

Elena completely dispelled the barrier and Hanawa was able to see more. A very tired dark elf was resting on a chair and a cute looking excited girl was continuously praising her. Two men and one woman were also present inside the barrier and were tightly tied up.

Elena did not hide anything from Hanawa and told her about how they were attacked. Then Elena asked her to take these people away and also to ask the marquis for a meeting. She had some things to inform him.

Hanawa did what Elena asked her to do and in no time Elena was inside the marquis' office having a meeting with him. Tomoe was extremely tired and retired to her room to have some rest.

In the meeting, Elena told marquis Utreyana about the Red Cross society and also about the Black Parapet and how his son was working with them. Just as the marquis was about to be very angry with his son Solaris, Elena also clarified that Solaris was actually trying to get rid of this organisation after milking them of all their worth. So he did not have any bad intentions toward his family.

That calmed the marquis down but still he decides to punish his son for being careless. He also ordered his guards to raid all the bases of the Black Parapet gang to completely wipe them out. He was aware of this gang but did not pay them much attention as according to his knowledge, this was a weak organisation. But now that they had tried to target his family, he was going to completely get rid of them.

As for the Red Cross society, the marquis was unable to do anything. He was even unable to kill any members of the society that he managed to catch. This organisation had the support of a vampire queen and he was too powerless to go against this kind of power. But this red cross society was also known to be very straightforward and he could hope for some massive remuneration from them which was the only silver lining.

Elena was not going to interfere much in this matter as she saw no need for that. Elena had already investigated and this organisation had not done anything too bad so far that would call for their extermination. So she was going to leave the marquis to deal with this matter.

For the time being, Elena needed to bring Tomoe in a happy mood again before their trip as she was currently very sad after failing the test that Elena had given her. Tomoe needed to defeat those two vampires before anyone else found the barrier and Tomoe failed to do so. So she was very sad.

This journey to the vampire continent was becoming more and more interesting.
