One day's break was not enough to allow Tomoe to perfectly come in terms with her improved mental powers but she was at least able to get somewhat used to it. So on the very next day, Elena and Tomoe started their journey again. As now they only have two more danger zones to cross, this journey would soon be reaching its end.

But before going to the next danger zone, Elena and Tomoe were going to stay in a city called Yokshia. This city was considered to be a danger zone by any merchants that went there as almost 80 percent of the merchants who visited this place got looted.

The city of Yokshia was ruled by a very young vampire baron. He came to power when his father suddenly went missing after going on a secret mission. As the baron at that time was extremely young, he had no idea about how politics and such worked.

That was why, because of his lack of knowledge, he became a puppet to his subordinates and his authority on the city was extremely lacking. Because of that instability, many criminals appeared here and started to operate from here. Then with enough time, they all became an integral part of this city and the city of Yokshia turned into this lawless hellhole which was a paradise for all kinds of crimes.

Elena could have just ignored this city completely and could have gone straight to the next danger zone but she did not do that because of a couple of reasons. Firstly, the next danger zone that they would be facing was filled with monsters of various ranks including S rank ones. So before going there Elena wanted Tomoe to completely get used to her new increased mental powers. For that reason, Elena wanted Tomoe to rest up a bit more and try her powers out on these weak thugs.

As for the second reason, from what Elena understood, this city was a city of bandits. And as it was also lawless, she could loot the bandits as much as she wanted and no one would care. Elena found that to be extremely interesting. So she definitely wanted to experience this city for herself.

With these thoughts, Elena and Tomoe were soon able to reach the front gates of the city. The city walls here looked dilapidated and were even broken in various parts. If someone wanted to ignore the front gate and enter the city through one of the holes on the wall, that was very much possible here.

After thinking about this for some time, Elena also decided to do just that after thinking a little about it. It would be hard for Tomoe to find an opportunity like this again, so not experiencing the feeling of trespassing the city was a big loss in Elena's opinion.

This city was not really very rich and most of the citizens were very poor. But still this part of the city looked to be one of the worst areas. Elena and Tomoe both were covering themselves with hoods so their beautiful face and body were not visible. For that reason, when they entered the city from this hole, no one cared at all. Some people did notice them but as people coming through a hole on the wall was a regular thing, they soon lost any interest.

Elena and Tomoe did not stay in the area for too long and went to search for a place to stay. They did ask around a little bit but instead of giving them a straight forward answer, all the people they came across wanted to know more about them after hearing their beautiful and sweet voice.

After just a few minutes, Elena and Tomoe got surrounded by a few thugs in a dark alleyway. Instead of getting scared Elena actually became happy with this development as now she had a good source of information. So she quickly beat them up and interrogated them to learn more about the city.

After about 1 hour, Elena and Tomoe came out of the alley. The five people who had went to attack them had all disappeared. They were terrible people who had done many heinous deeds. So Elena did not see any reasons why she should keep them alive.

The people that Elena and Tomoe just killed all belonged to a group of criminals called "Cursed Order". It was one of the three largest criminal organisations of this city. They mainly dealt with dangerous cursed magic items and they had a lot of influence in this city.

As for a place to stay, Elena and Tomoe found themselves in a troublesome situation. All the inns of this city were connected to one of the criminal syndicates. So staying in any one of them was extremely dangerous so Elena and Tomoe would not be able to relax there.

So after thinking about it a little more, she decided to book a room in the most luxurious and comfortable place. If someone came to disturb them, then she would just beat them up again. Just like Elena had said before, there were very few problems in the world which could not be solved with brute force.

The leader of the Cursed Order was called Megladon. He suddenly got notified that five of their members had suddenly disappeared from the city. Normally this was not an important news because with various gangs being at war with one another, a few members disappearing was not a big deal. But this time among the people who had disappeared included the son of a high ranking member of this organisation. That was the reason why this matter was brought to him.
