For this battle Elena was planning to use a weapon that she very rarely used even though she was a big fan of this weapon. The weapon in question was a bow. Seeing Elena taking out a bow, Tomoe became interested as this was a weapon that she had never seen Elena using before.

As for Katerina, she equipped a pair of white gauntlets and greaves. It looked like she did not fight with any weapons and instead used her powerful punches and kicks to fight. After equipping both of her weapons, Katerina took a martial arts pose and got ready for the fight.

Elena was the one who started the fight. She drew her bow and an arrow made out of mana appeared on the bow string. Then she released that arrow toward Katerina. This was a very simple attack that did not look threatening at all. Even for the spectators, the arrow was moving particularly fast. So they thought that this was just a probing attack by Elena to judge the opponents strength at the start of the battle.

But that was not what Katerina felt. At first she wanted to clash with the arrow head on following her battle maniac tendencies but then her instincts told her that would be a very bad idea. So next she wanted to dodge the arrow by moving out of its way but to her horror Katerina realised that even that was not possible. No matter the way she was planning to move, the threat of the arrow did not go down a single bit. So this arrow was definitely going to track her no matter which way she went.

Katerina had never felt this weak in her whole life. The battle had not even fully started but she had already lost. Just this one simple attack by Elena made her feel like giving up. But at the thought of giving up, a massive amount of disgust appeared in her heart. Immediately Katerina recovered from her depressed feeling and decided to go with her first option. To clash with the arrow head on. This way she would be able to stay true to her heart and would not even regret it if this decision took her life.
