Elena was quite happy to return to a regular schedule of day and night circle. So she slept quite well and felt very refreshed the next day. And Elena went directly to the reception meant for the S rank adventurers.

A lady with three horns on her head was managing that reception. She also had seven clawed fingers in her hand. She was from a race of demons called Scyllis and this demon species were quite powerful so they normally did not do desk jobs like this.

The lady greeted Elena with an expressionless face and asked her how she could help her. Elena also went straight to the point and told her that she was here to use her privilege as a S ranker to know about various interesting places of the demon continent. Hearing that the receptionist lady nodded her head and asked Elena for her adventurer guild identification.

After verifying Elena's identity as a S ranker, she stood up from the seat and asked Elena to follow her. Then the receptionist lady named Dorothy escorted Elena to a private room and both of them sat down on the sofa. Dorothy then told Elena that she was free to ask about any topic she wanted and Dorothy would find the information related to that topic for Elena.

Elena told her that she did not want information on any particular topic and instead she wanted to know if there were any interesting quests available for her or if there were places around the area that she might find interesting.

Hearing that Dorothy thought something for a moment and then stood up from the sofa. Then she asked Elena to wait for some time and went out of the room. Then she came back after some time with a stack of documents on her hand.

Then Dorothy started to tell Elena about all the missions that she might find interesting. After listening to them, Elena thought that three of them were quite interesting and decided to take them. Dorothy immediately handled those missions and assigned them to Elena.

After that Dorothy also told Elena about two nearby locations which were quite unique. One of them was a forest with a special environment and the second location was an underground cavern. Unfortunately there were no dungeons located in the nearby area but Dorothy did inform her about a dungeon located close to a city about 120 units away from here.

After learning about all this information, Elena thanked Dorothy and left the guild. She was planning to check on the interesting locations but on a different date. That was because today she was going to tackle an interesting mission that she just accepted.

For this mission, Elena left the city and started going toward the south direction from the city. There was a village located in that direction and that was the place where she needed to go for the mission. Many weird things had been happening in that village and last time the A rank party that went to investigate it went missing. That was why now the guild had assigned this mission to an S ranker.

Just a month ago this village was completely normal where mainly three species of demons lived in harmony. They had a few B rankers in the village who were more than capable of saving the village from monster attack. But suddenly one of the B rank protectors of the village went missing. That man was a bit eccentric so none of the villagers took this incident seriously as they thought that he would come back after some time.

But from that day in a few other people also went missing from the village. Not only that but one day suddenly one of the houses of the village suddenly caught fire. Another house suddenly broke down as if it was hit by a powerful earthquake but no one else had felt the ground shaking.

Those were the reason why the villagers had asked for the intervention of the adventurer guild. This was a very unusual situation and a B ranker was also affected by it, so the guild decided to send their A rankers to take care of this problem. But unfortunately, the A rank team had also gone missing after coming to the village. And now Elena needed to go to the bottom of this problem.
