In this world, dungeons could spontaneously appear if a place was suitable for it. But that place would not immediately turn into a dungeon. Instead at the very beginning, a seed of a dungeon core would appear. It would only be able to summon a single familiar to protect itself while the seed needed time to adjust itself according to the location.

This adjusting process was very complex and it could take from just a few days to a few years depending on the location. During this time the core would give off a peculiar aura which was very attractive to monsters, animals or other powerful beings.

For the intelligent races, the seed of a dungeon core was a very rare and expensive material. It could be used in many alchemical creations. As for monsters and beasts, consuming a seed of the dungeon core would increase their level and stats. At the same time it could also strengthen their bloodline. So monsters and beasts were also greedy for a seed of the dungeon core.

That was the reason why the seed of the dungeon cores needed to have a protector while they were in the adjusting phase. For this seed of the dungeon core, the golem was the protector that it had chosen.

And now that the golem had been defeated, the seed of the dungeon had lost its last defense line. So currently Elena could do anything with the dungeon core and it would not be able to do anything.

That was truly a very scary thing and the seed of the dungeon core was very nervous about it. Now it was feeling helpless and had given up on survival. The cores themselves very rarely had a will of their own.

That was the reason why Elena wanted to awaken a sense of self in this seed of the dungeon core. In many other worlds, dungeons with a will were very common. So Elena wanted to see if there would be any difference between those dungeons of other worlds and a dungeon of this world which was supposed to not have a will.

So after awakening a will in the dungeon core, Elena created a barrier around the seed of the dungeon core to protect itself from dangers. Not only that but this barrier could also hide the unnatural and tempting aura that the dungeon was releasing. So the danger it needed to face would also lessen considerably.

After doing this Elena came out of the mine. Even though Elena had given the seed a will, it would not be able to immediately understand the situation it was in. It would need some time to do it. During that time the adjustment phase and the Dungeon creation should also be completed. Elena was planning to check on the dungeon core at that time.

After coming out of the mine in a happy mood, Elena now needed to go to check out the mysterious structure that had suddenly appeared. Elena was also curious about it. So without wasting any time, she immediately started heading toward where that structure was supposed to be.

With her speed as a S ranker, Elena needed very little time to reach her destination. Soon she was able to see the structure that vice guild master Kaska had mentioned. This structure looked like a magnified bee hive but it was completely black in colour and no bees were seen outside the structure.

Just like the other adventurers, Elena was also able to feel the aura released by the structure. This aura might be threatening to A rankers but even the weakest of the S rankers would not be worried about it. So this structure turned out to not be too terrifying.

For that reason Elena did not hesitate and went close to the structure to observe it closely. After taking a closer look, even without her special abilities, she was able to understand its function.

This structure was actually a special item that had the function of taking root in an area and then it could make itself the core of the area. If this item was successful in this process, then it would not be possible to destroy it without destroying the whole area first. So this item had a very good defensive capability.

As for the terrifying aura that it was giving off, that was just a camouflage. This item did not have any offensive capability. So even a regular person would have been able to check it out without any danger if they could overcome their fear.

Currently this structure was still in the process of making itself a part of this area. So if Elena currently destroyed it, she would not need to destroy the whole area. Not only that but there was no one to protect this structure either. From this Elena guessed that whoever was responsible for this structure, they had just dropped it here without any supervision and was hoping that it would be able to complete the integration process. So instead of doing that she decided to tamper with the item so that even after it had become a part of this area, it would have a weak point and attacking it would be enough to destroy the structure even after its integration.

After making the modification, Elena decided to quickly return to the city of Imenhawk to inform Kaska about the structure and her plan. Elena was pretty sure that whoever had planned that item in that location was up to no good. So she was going to inform the guild about it to not keep them in the dark.

She also had another mission to complete for the guild and the integration process of this item was going to take a few more days. So within that time, she was planning to complete the last mission too.

While Elena was busy with her missions, five men met up inside a dark and well hidden cave. All of them had injuries in their bodies. One of them had even lost an arm. If there was another person present here, that person would be able to identify these people to be a part of the Dhanos demon race.

Even though all the people here looked haggard, the aura that they were giving off was very powerful. Two of them were actually S rankers and the remaining three were also A rank powerhouses.

The man who had lost his hand, looked at all the people present and clicked his tongue. He was feeling extremely irritated after seeing that only five people had managed to show up here. This only meant that all the other brethren of theirs were either dead or were in too much danger to attend this meeting. That was not a good news.

But the man understood that this was not the time to get irritated so he forcefully calmed his mind down and said in an authoritative voice -

"I have a plan to turn the situation around but need everyone present here to work together."

So what was this man planning in this hidden cave ?
