As Elena and the Azure Legion were getting close to the city of Kamashi, they started to feel some kind of dark presence in the air. But this was not surprising to them as they had already heard about this occurance. The city of Kamashi was actually built in an area where a war between two ancient peak legendary powerhouse had happened.

In that ancient war, almost five million demons had died and their blood gathered together to create a blood pool which was also filled with the grudges of the people who had died here. The peak legendary powerhouse who had won the war became a demigod after the end of the battle and had sealed the blood pool underground.

But after many many years, the seal of the pool had become loose and a terrifying aura started leaking from there. Some demons noticed that they could get stronger by enduring the aura and that aura was also useful in hiding criminal investigations. So the presence of this special kind of aura was the reason why a city was created in this area.

As the aura was extremely useful for criminal demons, they were the main inhabitants of this city. But the demonic nation ruling over this area could not just let the criminals to gather in a place where they could get stronger so that nation tried to intervene and the criminals fought back.

Many more years had passed since that time and now the city of Kamashi was ruled by a city lord on the outside but the large underworld of the city was ruled by many criminal organisations. This was one of the most dangerous cities to live for general population.

Elena and the Azure Legion were aware of that and for that reason they were cautious while getting close to it. Because of her full attention, Nina suddenly noticed that something suspicious was happening inside the forest beside the road. She immediately told her party members about it and Alessia decided to check it out. Elena did not interfere with whatever they were doing and calmly continued watching.

Obviously, as the scout of the team, it was Nina who took on the role to see what was happening. So she hid her presence and went to the area from where she had felt the presence of people.

Nina used a skills to run in the air by making solid platforms as that was the best way to run inside a forest while not making any noise or leaving any evidence behind. Soon she reached the location where the presences she felt were.

There Nina found three big demons standing while guarding a large chest. Those demons had the body of a large bear but the head of a wolf. Nina felt some threat from them even though they were only B ranks in terms of level. That meant they either worked extremely well in team or had some kind of powerful unique skill or both.

Other then those big demons, there were also two regular sized demon who were quarreling about something. One of the demon had the head of a goat and the other one had blue skin, elf like ear and five small horns on a bald head.

The blue skinned demon immediately attracted Nina's attention as this species was very rare and was highly valued because they had a special ability. So Nina now became extremely curious about what they were talking about and started to read their lips to learn that. As the talking pair was using some kind of magic or magic item to stop their sounds from leaking so this was the only way Nina could know what they were saying.

So after reading their lips for some time, Nina came to know that the demons were doing some kind of deal here. But they were having a disagreement for the price of the deal. As for what was the item of the deal, it was a special cursed item that was locked in the chest. In this nation which the city of Kamashi was a part of, anything related to cursed item was banned so what they were doing was definitely illegal. And the city of Kamashi for its special nature was the best spot to produce cursed items.

But still Nina did not found it to be a big of a deal but that changed when she learnt what that cursed item did. Immediately she got ready to stop the deal from happening. This cursed item had the effect of destroying someone's mind and to turn them into obedient puppet. That was definitely something very evil.

So immediately Nina used a magic item to send a signal to her party members. The meaning of this signal was to start attacking. As soon as the other ladies got the signal, they immediately took action and attacked.

Nina threw a bottle which released a paralysing gas after breaking. Marina charged in with her spear toward the three large demons who were guarding the chest. Shia also used a high ranking spell called Hurricane Lance which targeted the two men who were talking.

As for Alessia, she did not attack directly and instead stayed behind to keep an eye on the situation. As there were no S rankers here, she knew that her friends could take care of the whole situation alone. But still she kept an eye on them and was ready to assist them if they ever needed it.

But none of them needed that as the people they fought were only B rankers. So in no time, all of them were captured and the chest was secured. That was when Elena came and cast a powerful spell on the chest to destroy the dangerous cursed item outright.

Seeing that the eyes of the captured people almost popped out. According to their knowledge, the cursed items were extremely hard to destroy even for a S rank powerhouse. Not only they were very hard, those items could even regenerate at a very high pace. That was the reason why many nations made them forbidden as most of the cursed items had devestating evil effects and were extremely hard to destroy.

Elena had actually not used any powers beyond the S rank. She had just made all the destructive power to focus on a small area, so the regeneration of the cursed item was unable to keep up with the rate of destruction and the item was destroyed.

But that was all that Elena did. She did not participated in the interrogation and left it to her sisters. So Marina started the interrogation as she the best person in the Azure Legion to do this kind of things. The other members were not really very good at it.

Elena was interested in seeing what kind of interrogation techniques Marina had and she was impressed by what she saw. Marina told her that one of her close friends was a torturer related to a dark guild, so from her Marina had also managed to learn some tricks of the business.

Even though Elena was impressed, she still felt like Marina could improve it a little bit more. So even though Elena was not planning to participate in this interrogation, she still ended up giving Marina some advice and as soon as Marina followed those advice, the result was immediate, all the captured people quickly started talking.
