As soon as the monster appeared, the Azure Legion got ready for battle and picked up their weapons. While Elena casually waved at them while still continuing with her cooking and told them that she would be done in half an hours time, so they should hurry up with the extermination or the food would go cold.

The sudden appearance of this extremely ugly looking monster was quite nerve wrecking for the ladies but Elena's light behaviour calmed them down immediately. Then all the ladies immediately thought about how Nina was rewarded before for doing a good job and there was a possibility that if one of them could give an impressive performance against this monster, them Elena might reward that person too. So with that thought in mind, the motivation of the ladies went through the roof.

While cooking the food, Elena kept a close eye on the battle. As the monster was a S rank one, expect for Alessia, the other girls would be in a lot of danger if they directly fought it.

But the ladies were also aware of that and were fighting the monster while keeping that in mind. Alessia was fighting the monster head on and Marina was supporting her with her spear. She was using the spear to attract the monster's attention and Alessia was doing the majority of the damage while taking advantage of that. Marina was also in charge of healing Alessia if she got hurt in the battle but so far, there was no need for that.

As for Shia, she was supporting both Alessia and Marina with her long distance magic. This monster had high resistance magic, so her fire and wind elemental offensive magic were not really doing much damage. So she was mostly using dark elemental magic to blind or bind the monsters.

Then there was Nina, who was keeping an eye on the whole battlefield while assisting anyone who needed help. She mainly had the role of keeping Shia out of danger and supporting the vanguard with her arrows. But at the same time, she was also throwing various kinds of poisons and throwing weapons to injure the monster whenever she had the chance.

All in all, even though the Azure Legion members wanted personal glory, they worked together extremely well. All of them were aware of their limitations and knew that expect for Alessia, none of them had the capability of defeating this monster in one on one combat. So instead of trying the impossible, they were doing their best for the role they were most suited for.

They knew that their big sister would not just take the final result in account to evaluate their performace but everything else to. So they were trying to give their all for the role that they had.

This thinking was actually correct. Elena was quite impressed by all the ladies. Alessia performed her role as the main attacker perfectly while making sure that she was not putting herself in too much danger. If for some reason she got badly hurt due to a mistake, the other members of the team would not be able to keep up with the S rank monster. So her staying safe was very important.

Marina was also doing an extremely good job in supporting Alessia. With her believe in Shia for magical support, she was taking calculated risks to give Alessia the best chances to deal the most amount of damage. Shia was also supporting the team with her magic extremely well even though this magic resistant monster was a bad matchup for her. Then finally Nina was the glue of the team who was doing a good job to maintain the connection between the frontline and the backline.

With their teamwork, the Azure Legion continued dealing damage to the monsters and soon the HP of the worm had reached a dangerous territory. Even though previously the monster was too angry to think properly while attacking, now that it's HP had reached a dangerouly low point, the survival instinct of the monster was telling it to run away.

The monster decided to follow its instincts and tried to run away when there was a sight break between the attack of its enemies.

But that moment when the monster stopped thinking about defense and its mind was filled the though of thought of running away, all the ladies launched their strongest attacks as this was the perfect opportunity for them.

Those attacks were successful and Alessia's Thunderfire Slash specially almost bisected the monster's body in half. Other attacks also scored solid hits and soon the worm monster was unable to move. In that situation, Alessia cut down the monster's head to completely secure the kill.

After killing the S rank worm monster, all the ladies happily returned back to their camp. Even though this worm monster was quite powerful, they had still managed to kill it in less than an hour, which was quite impressive. So all of them were in a very good mood. But after returning to the camp, they became extremely surprised.

As to not get disturbed by the battle while cooking, Elena had covered the whole campsight in a barrier. The barrier had an illusion function, so the ladies did not notice any difference from outside.

But upon entering the barrier, they noticed that the campsight had completely changed and had turned into a beautiful picnic place. Seeing this area, no one would ever believe that they were still inside the same lifeless wasteland.

With her magic, Elena had created a beautiful land with grass and amazing cherry trees which were in full bloom. Then atmosphere had also changed and the hot temparature of the wasteland had turned into the comforting heat of spring. Seeing this, all the ladies for a moment thought that they were inside some kind of dream.

But soon they came back to their senses and happily run to Elena. They were aware of how strong their big sister actually was, so even this astonishing scene did not bewilder them for long. So in that beautiful space, those five ladies had a beautiful night picnic under the brightly shining pink cherry blossom tree.

As all the members of the Azure Legion had done well in the fight against the worm, Elena decided to reward all of them. So even though she had not made a special dish for everyone, she did feed all the ladies with her own hand. That made everyone very very happy.

Just like that, they had a very good night in the middle of the desolate wasteland and then they continued their journey on the next day and left the wasteland very soon. After leaving the wasteland they were very close to their destination and they also did not have any more troublesome place to traverse. So the journey was suppose to be smooth again.
