After Alessia ran away, the frog monster first started to chase after her but failed to get out of this area of the dungeon. It had appeared in this room because Alessia's team had mistakenly triggered a trap that they had failed to notice at all. But now it was the monster who was trapped in this area.

It was also quite hurt, so now that it was free, it started healing. Nina, who came to scout the monster after recovering a little bit noticed this and informed Alessia immediately. Hearing that the monster was trying to rest and recover, she decided to not give it the chance. Marina cast the spell Recovery and Light Veil on her which gave her a little bit of continuous healing and a barrier.

As for Shia, she cast three spells. They were Swift Wind, Volcanic Strength and Protection of Dark Night. The first two spells increased Alessia's AGI and STR stats. As for the last spell, it was a very special spell that gave Alessia a boost to all her abilities when she was in a dark environment. This spell was perfect for the current situation as this floor of the dungeon was the exactly dark environment that was needed for the activation of this magic.

After getting all the boosts, Alessia ran toward the monster in her full speed and started attacking it. She would be the only one who would fight this monster from a close distance. As for Shia and Nina, they decided to support their leader from a distance with magic spells and arrows.

Marina normally had nothing to do in a situation like this. But as this was not the first time they needed to support Alessia against a S rank monster like this, Marina had found herself in similar situations before. So she had come up with a plan now.

This plan was simple and Marina took out a lot of spears from her storage item. These spears were not of a great quality like her usual one. Most of them were broken and in a bad condition. Normally let alone an A ranker like Marina, even C or D rankers would try to avoid using these spears as their weapon.

But still Marina had filled the limited space of her storage item with these useless things. The reason for that was simple. She was planning to use these spears as disposable throwing weapons. So not having a good quality was actually ideal for this role. She had even practiced a throwing skill for this.

With the support of her party and her preparations, even though the monster had managed to recover quite a bit in the short span of time, she still managed to defeat it quite easily. This monster had given her a world of trouble before, but now it was killed so easily by her.

As Alessia was still trying to digest this sense of victory, all her party members immediately came to her and started celebrating. Now with this victory they had basically managed to cross the eighth floor. Now they just needed to clear two more floors and they would be done with the mission given by Elena.

So without wasting any time, they continued their journey to the deeper floors of the dungeon.

After the eighth floor, the ladies immediately entered the ninth one. But instead of going toward the exit of the floor following a map, they set up a camp and started to investigate the floor slowly with the base camp being their centre point.

There was a reason why they were doing this. The ninth and the tenth floor both had similar types of environment which was a forest filled with mist. In this misty forest, the exploration was very difficult as the mist had the properties to confuse and bewilder even highly powerful individuals.

But at the same time, the topography of this floor also changed at a random interval. So using a map to clear this floor was impossible. For this reason, the Raven Hunters had told the Azure Legion that the best way to explore this floor was by creating a camp first and then to slowly explore other areas around the camp.

This was a time consuming method and the ladies needed more than a week to find the stairs to the next floor. And the time period of a week was actually on the shorter side as the Azure Legion got lucky with Marina's insane intuition and managed to choose the correct direction on the very first try.

They had came across a lot of monster during this time. But as none of them were of S rank, they had no troubles with it. But seeing the monster that was guarding the stairs to the tenth floor, all the ladies became nervous.

According to the information gathered from the Raven Hunters, there could be species of three monsters who would guard the stairs to the tenth floor. The appearance of those boss monsters were random and no one could guess which one among them would guard the stairs at any exact point of time.

The first monster who could take this role was a Mist Overturning Ape or Apelajuka. It was a large gorilla like monster with extremely powerful physical strength. It had three logs as large as itself as weapons. This monster, without a doubt was extremely powerful.

The second monster that could guard the door was a humanoid monster called Zepsyos. It was a like a large knight wearing full plate armour and with a body made of mist. Even with the full plate armour, this monster was not slow as it's body was basically made of mist. It also had a high defense ability. And the most dangerous thing about this monster was it's mastery of powerful weapon techniques.

Even though both of these monsters were dangerous, they were actually safer options. The third monster that could appear here was the real danger. Most the time, if this monster was guarding the stairs, the adventurers would turn back and wait for a natural rotation to happen and for the other two monsters to show up.

As for what this dreaded monster was, it was a Mist Dragon. It was the strongest monster under the legendary grade that could appear in this dungeon. And currently that same monster was lying before the stairs to the tenth floor, guarding it.
