The experienced alchemist told Lanchester with an excited look that the expert alchemist lady who had brought him here had given them a lesson on alchemy which was extremely easy to understand but very profound at the same time. So even the inexperienced ones were able to learn a lot from that and were trying to master the teaching with practical practice.
Lanchester was surprised and asked who this expert alchemist lady was. He had a guess in mind but he wanted to be sure. And he was answered that it was a golden haired demon lady named Elena. It was exactly what Lanchester had expected as she was the only lady with whom he had interacted on this day.
When Lanchester was telling her about his troubles, he was glad that she was there to listen to his grumbling. Those were not something that he could share with his friends or family, so he was grateful that she was willing to humour him by listening to him.
But now it looked like she did not just listen to his problems but was actively trying to solve it. Lanchester had no idea why she was helping him so much but he was glad none the less. He immediately thought that he needed to at least thank her for all the help and asked the same alchemist about her whereabouts.
After learning that Elena had went out for some time and would return soon, Lanchester decided to wait in the warehouse. After about fifteen minutes or so, Elena returned and she had brought many equipments with her.
Lanchester wanted to immediately thank her for her help but before he could do that, Elena started to issue orders to the alchemists and everyone got busy. Lanchester did not want to disturb them so he did not approach anyone and just stood in the middle of the warehouse, with busy alchemists a bit awkwardly.
Noticing that, Elena kindly smiled at him and and asked his help in setting up the equipments. Lanchester was grateful to have something to do and immediately started to assist the other alchemists. In less than half an hour, all the new equipments brought by Elena were ready to be used.
Lanchester noticed that all these equipments were brand new and it was definitely not bought by them. So he immediately asked Elena about the price and was ready to repay her even though he was already suffering with a lack of funds.
Elena smiled after hearing that and told Lanchester that the equipments were a gift for the alchemists from Elena for joining her new organisation. So there was no need for Lanchester to worry about it.
Lanchester was surprised and asked Elena what she meant. The experienced alchemist had not told Lanchester about this before as he was not sure if Lanchester should know about this matter or not but Elena found no reason to hide what she was planning from him.
Elena was going to create an organisation for the alchemists in the demon continent. Alchemy was one of the hardest job, especially for the demon kind who were mostly battle loving and simple minded. So training a demon alchemist was harder than training one from a different race.
But as alchemists were rare, they were also more valuable here. So quite a few cunning organisation like the Solaris prepared many low level alchemist and sold their services for sky high prices. But most of the time the alchemists themselves were not able to enjoy those prices and it just filled the pockets of the higher ups.
Independent alchemists like Fren were fine and they earned a lot of money. But becoming an alchemist was not easy and they needed a lot of money for the initial training. So for most of the demons, they needed to join the alchemist organisations to get started with their journey.
Elena actually had no idea about it as in other continents, various academies and institutions taught alchemy so learning it was not that hard. But it looked like, in the demon continent, a few organisation were trying to limit the spread of alchemy to maintain their profit.
Only after bringing Lanchester to this warehouse and having a conversation with the alchemists Elena came to know about this. At first she was only planning to teach the young alchemists a few things and was not planning to get to involve with them too much. But after learning more about their situation, she decided to do something for them.
That was why Elena created an organisation called "Sanctuary" and all the alchemists here were the first few members of this organisation. Elena would be funding this organisation and would act as the Head Director. She would train the people here and would recruit a few more qualified alchemists who would then be responsible for providing education for upcoming alchemists for minimum prices just like it was the case in other continents.
Elena was sure that she was not the first one who had tried to do something like this and the other profit hungry organisations would definitely try to get in her way. But with Elena's strength, she did not care about any of that. She was sure that with her organisation making the knowledge of alchemy available to many people, the demonic society would benefit a lot. It would not be a quick process but with their long life, time was something that the demons had a lot of.
...
As Elena continued instructing the demon alchemists, they started improving rapidly in front of Lanchester's eyes. It was really something insane. It was hard for Lanchester to even imagine what kind of teaching ability would allow someone this marvelous ability to make others understand something complex so easily. Even though Lanchester was not an alchemist himself, even he learnt a lot from Elena's teaching.
With this, even though there was not much time left, he might be able to at least sell some potions in his shop. They had been preparing for this day for a long time so he already have about 1000 units of alchemical products ready. That should be enough for the first few days and in the meantime they could try to create more products for the market. As the Market was going to last for a whole month, they should be able to sell a decent amount.
That would definitely not be able to get rid of all the losses as a large majority of the money was given to the terrible Solaris company for their alchemists. But still lessening the amount of the loss was always a good thing for Lanchester.
So he bowed his head to Elena and the alchemists. Then he requested their assistance in getting out of this situation. At the same time, even though he did not really have money to pay them extra, he promised them to help in way he personally could.
The alchemists were already fond of Lanchester and were willing to work hard for his sake. If it was anyone else, he would have definitely kicked the alchemists out after their organisation went under. But Lanchester did not do that and even sympathied with them. So the alchemists were ready to give their all to help him under Elena's guidance.
So would the Oshi village be able to recover their losses with Elena's help ?
