Moon Knights were known to be one of the strongest when it came to guarding and protection. They didn't have very high strength or agility stat but they had very high defence and HP stat. They were familiars of a high god for a reason.

Damage sharing was a primary ability for them and for that reason while fighting they try to take as little damage as possible and even use their limited healing skills to heal even minimum damages.

That was the same for the Moon Knight Dic summoned. When he started sharing the damage he actually had a full health bar. From what Elena calculated, if everything went as it was going on now, the moon night works lose about 47% of its max HP and Dic would remain completely unharmed after the attack ends.

Where on the other hand, Lux used up almost everything he had to launch this final attack and he would be on the verge of death after this. So, basically Lux would fail to avenge his fiancee and would also die by his enemy hand.

Yes, it would be a tragedy but nothing unusual. Thousands of good got buried by bad regularly. The chance of failing for an avenger is way higher than the chance of success. This would be the same.

Lux would vanish from the world. His students, the Mismatched Piece would probably try to avenge him and would end up dying themselves. Dicovolve would still be the respected headmaster of the best academy of a kingdom blessed by a high god. And hundreds of years from now on, he would still be remembered as a great person.

But, in that battlefield between two old rivals, there was  someone who had the title of "World Avenger". She had dedicated a good amount of her time in avenging her homeworld. Would she just watch a fellow avenger failing?

While the adventurers and the teachers were looking at this final moment of the battle holding their breath, Elena was watching all these with a cold and apathetic gaze. While doing so she flicked her finger slightly. The Moon Knight instantly lost 20% of his max HP after that.

So, now he would not be able to take on the full amount of damage by himself and would only be able to receive about 64% of the total damage and Dicovolve would receive the rest. As a mage, Dicovolve's HP is very low so even that 16% would leave him on the verge of death.

A slight gesture from Elena completely changed the whole scenario. She really didn't want to interfere in Lux's quest for revenge. But when he was on the verge of failing, she wasn't able to help herself but interfered a little bit.

So it went exactly as Elena had foreseen. After the attack ended, Both Lux and Dicovolve were on the verge of death. In this exact time, Elena removed the veil covering them and went toward the fighting duo.

She cast two spells, {Preserve State} on Dicovolve and {Full Rejuvenation} on Lux. She snapped her fingers and the Moon Knight vanished. She then again cast another spell on both of the S rankers, {Sleep}.

After this hard fighting Lux was completely drained mentally. Even tho Elena had healed him, he should still take a rest. And Dicovolve's near death state was forcefully preserved by Elena. He would be in a hell of  pain if awake and would definitely shout as he wasn't familiar with pain as a mage.

That was why she placed both of them into deep sleep. And the duty of the Moon Knight was already done so she sent him back to the Lunar Realm.

At this time, others present there also came back to their senses. Both of the groups had a sad and melancholic look in their eyes. Elena levitated both of them with magic and told them to go back to the hall.

It's been quite some time since Elena left the hall with the adventurers and the teachers. But still no one moved even one step from where they were standing. The effect of a demigod was really astonishing.

As they all were waiting patiently for Elena to come back, the students inside the barrier were all going crazy from excitement. They never thought that they would be able to meet face to face with a demigod rank powerhouse. It was like all their fantasies were coming true.

After she entered the room another eight also entered behind her. After seeing them some heaved a sigh of relief and went toward them to ask what happened. They obviously couldn't question Elena about it so seeing the others was a big relief.

After their discussion was over, Elena asked the assassins about their objective and who contacted them. She already knew the answer but still she asked about it to let others know.

Selena's full name was Selena Doctrivy. Doctrivy was a marquis house that was on a steady downfall before Selena's birth. But after she was identified as a magic genius, the house was on a rise once again.

One of the strongest count houses of Seledom was eyeing the even weakening Doctrivy house for a long time. They wanted to shallow the Doctrivy family and become a marquis themselves. So Selena was a big obstacle to them.

So they were trying to hire assassins to either capture or kill her. But there was no assassin group inside the Myrilia kingdom. But then an assassin group from a faraway Wu nation came here after getting into conflict with a great family there.

They took this mission as they would need to do something spectacular if they wanted to settle here. After studying about Selena's habits and the support of an S rank behind her they thought to abandon this mission and better yet this country.

But then suddenly a famous A rank adventurer party met with them and told them that they would help them to capture Selena and that they also had the support of an S rank behind them.

Only after that they started to plan for this mission and this was the result. Selena already knew that the Seledom family was trying to use her own family to become marquis but she didn't think that they would hire assassins.

That was not because she was naive but because, hiring an assassin was a very risky job and without the support of a duke behind them doing so would cause a lot of trouble. But the Seledom family didn't join any of the Duke or Archduke's factions in Selena's knowledge.

So, there were two possibilities. Either they had secretly allied with a duke or archduke, or they had some secret connection that could get them out of any trouble.

Then suddenly one of the teachers came before Elena and bowed to her

"Miss Elena, I'm Fransis tasked with teaching magic fundamentals in the academy and also a royal agent. The royal family requests you to please hand over the headmaster to us. We assure you to give a proper judgement. And you're also requested to have an audience with the king. Please inform us about your free time and we will do our best to accommodate you."
