Li Hanzo was the current head of the Li family. He looked like a middle aged man with hands made of metal. In his childhood, he had lost both of his arms in an accident so they were reforged later by a very big organisation called "Rebirth Foundation". They were extremely powerful items and was a major source of Li Hanzo's strength.

Other than him, the Li family had two more powerhouses above the level of 6000. Not only that but his brother Li Suishi was also someone who could reach that power level temporarily with the combined boost of the Dragon of Luck and Grand Celestial Alliance's blessing. So overall, their family was extremely powerful.

But today, just before Li Hanzo's eyes, their power became useless. Suddenly a group of people attacked them and the guards of the Li family went to fight them. No one really strong had ever dared to go against the Li family, so at no one took the attack seriously.

But upon the first contact between the guards and the attackers, the guards were all killed in mere moments without being able to provide any resistance. So the attackers were able to easily reach the main estate of the Li family.

That was exactly when the truely powerful guards took over the security of the estate and started to shoot various missiles, guns, cannons etc. toward the attacking enemies. They also activated the estate protecting barrier. But it turned out that the attacking side had ultra durable barrier shields which blocked most of the direct attacks.

Seeing this, the captain of the gaurd did not panic and immediately asked the guards to activate an energy disorienting device. This was the same device that Hongjuan had in his ship and in the Great Wu Empire, only the Li family had access to this device.

But to the surprise of the gaurd captian, these devices had no effect on the barrier shields. These barrier shields were made of energy according to his knowledge so they should not be able to withstand the signal of the energy disorienting devices.

Just as the captian was getting confused, one of the scientists working for the Li family came and informed him that the shields that were being used were a new product of the truth guild. These shields were not using any energy and instead were result of encrypting a shield type skill on a plate. So they were not completely technological devices and instead were similar to artifacts from another power system.

Learning this, the captain stopped using the energy disorienting devices and instead decided to break through the shields with superior firepower. There would definitely be an upper limit to the power these shields could withstand and he just needed to exceed that.

But as soon the captain gave orders to start the bombardment again, to his surprise, he noticed that the frontline of the enemy had taken out cannons and were shooting toward them. The enemy was still quite some distance away from the walls where the guards were. And according to the captain's knowledge, that distance was too far for the cannon shots from this type of cannon to reach his position.

Just as the captian had speculated, the balls fired by those cannon failed to reach the wall. Seeing this, he sighed in relief. He had expected them to use physical cannon balls fearing the energy disorienting devices so he was ready with a powerful physical barrier to defend against it. But that barrier needed a lot of energy to function, so the less he needed to use it, the better it would be.

But before he could sigh in relief, he saw that the cannon balls that were fired transforming and turning into small robots. Seeing their robots, the scientist standing beside him immediately shouted in panic and said -

"Don't let those robots get close to the barrier. Destroy them all before they could reach the wall."

The captain had no idea why the scientist was getting so agitated but he knew him to be an intelligent and knowledgeable man. So instead of wasting thinking why, he ordered the guards to fire toward the robots.

Those robots turned out to be quite brittle and just a single direct hit was enough to destroy them. But with their small size, they were extremely agile and hard to aim at. But the soldiers of the Li family were trained enough to destroy all the little robots before they could reach the barrier.

But even after taking care of them, the soldiers got no time to rest. That was because the enemies continued firing those cannons and sending out these little robots. And as they were continuously advancing, the distance those robots needed to run to reach the barrier was also becoming less and less.

After perfectly taking care of the three waves of the little robots, in the fourth wave, the soldiers failed to shot all of them down. Two robots managed to reach the barrier and immediately attached themselves to it. Seeing this, the scientist immediately told the guards to deactivate the barrier.

But deactivating the barrier would mean that soldiers would become defenseless against the bombardment of the enemy, that was extremely risky and the guards were not sure if they should follow the order of the scientist or not. Even the guard captain was caught off guard with was instruction of deactivating the barrier and he failed to say anything to his subordinates quickly.

This much time was enough for the robots to complete doing whatever they were functioned for and then they suddenly turned into some kind of red liquid and were absorbed inside the barrier. Immediately after that, the light blue coloured barrier also turned red and the properties of the barrier changed.

Now instead of defending against the outside attacks and allowing the attacks from inside to go out, the barrier started to do the opposite. It now blocked all the attacks from inside and allowed the attacks from outside of pass through. After this change, even when the guards tried to deactivate the barrier, they failed to do so.

The situation immediately became very dire. After this change, the Li family guards were unable to attack anymore, while the the attacks of the enemies had no blockade. So just like that, the guards of the Li family were all defeated and the outermost defenses of the Li family mansion was breached extremely quickly.

That was when the level 6000 plus powerhouses of the Li family made their appearance, including the family head. They all pointed their immensely powerful weapons toward the enemies. Those weapons were several level stronger than the ones that the guards were using. That made the frontline to pause in fear.

But then the 6000 plus powerhouse from the other side also appeared and the battle situation became very tensed.
