But with his own knowledge about the dark element, Raguel quickly realised how this happened which made him even more surprised.

All these shadow guards were made by their queen, a level 620 powerhouse. Her mastery of the shadow was second to none. So in Raguel's mind, it was impossible that someone could overpower her control but that was exactly what that had happened here.

It took some time for him to get back to his senses. Then he looked the source of this whole trouble, which was an extremely beautiful lady with brilliant golden hair and deep blue eyes.

In his life, Raguel had always believed that her queen was without a doubt the most beautiful person in this world. But it looked like this was a day when more of his beliefs would be broken. Raguel had to admit that even her queen could not be compared to this lady before her in terms of beauty.

As the Xecsis were a rare race and did not have many powerhouses, in Valhalla, they were considered to be one of the weakest races. So their benevolent queen took pity on them and invited to become a part of her subordinate. That way, they would be able to freely live in the city of Osiel.

But as soon as this offer was given to them, the Xecsis suddenly became extremely angry. So much so that, they tried to attack the queen then and there. This was very sudden and the powerful shadow guards protecting the queen attacked back. Those Xecsis were extremely weak, not even S rank and were killed in that counter attack.

After this whole incident, a ton of Xecsis started to attack the city from the next day onward. There numbers were in hundreds of thousands. That was how, the city of Osiel was having to face attacks from the Xecsis every single day. They had no idea how the Xecsis were always coming back to life and after continuous battle for so many days, the vampires were getting tired.

While thinking about this, Elena thought about how the barrier in the thunder island was also able to revive her. In this world, resurrection techniques were not allowed. Then how was this revive process still functional ? It was simple. Those people were getting revive before their souls had entered the cycle of reincarnation. It was more like saving a almost dead person rather that true resurrection.

From this Elena guessed that the Xecsis had some kind of treasure that allowed them to come back to life after getting killed. It looked like, the vampires had also thought the same and had tried to find that item.

But the Valhalla was a massive realm and they had no idea where this device could be. So after searching for it in vain for a few days, they had now decided on a more direct plan.

The cost of revival by this device was definitely not small. So the vampires had decided to kill the Xecsis as much as they could do that they would use up all their resources and would not be able to use the item anymore.

The Xecsis cought onto this plan and started using kamikaze attacks by the means of self destruction. That was the reason why the shadow guards were given the order to kill without asking questions first and Elena became a victim of this.

Hearing this, Elena understood the whole situation but still she had one question in her mind. That she immediately asked Raguel.

"Hmm, I understand the situation now. But, why is the great divine beast XuanYuan not doing anything ? It should be able to stop the Xecsis race from boarding on it, right ?"

Hearing that Raguel sighed and said -

"Yes, great beast does have that ability but currently she is having a millenium long sleep. During this time, she is not going to do anything and I think the Xecsis attacked us during this time with that knowledge."

Just as Elena was about to nod her head, a loud sound was heard from the outside. Raguel immediately received some kind of message and told Elena that the Xecsis were attacking them again and immediately ran toward the wall. Elena was also interested in seeing how this Xecsis race was and followed behind him.
