This bandit group called the Red Fang Gang had looted quite a bit in their last few raids so their base was filled with various treasures. Obviously none of the treasures among them was of much use to Elena so she allowed the S rankers and A rankers to have their pick first. After they were done choosing items that would be useful to them, Elena took a look at the treasures and took a few things that made her interested.
One of the them was a book about various legends and historical stories about the Inazuyan Archipelago. This was the type of thing that Elena liked the most. Other than this book, an ancient medal made off of a rare alloy was also able to attract Elena's attention. She also took a few more miscellaneous things but none of them were too valuable.
The couple had killed their opponent in the battle as he was too strong for the couple to safely keep him confined. All the other bandits who were lower than level 300 were also killed. So after the raid of the bandit hideout was over, only the powerful old man remained alive as he was only captured and not killed by Elena.
The reason why Elena had kept him alive was because she wanted to get some important information from him. Even though this old man was also just a S ranker and not a Demigod, with his strength that could be counted among the tops of the S rank, he definitely held an important position in the organisation. At least his position would be much higher than the other common S rankers. So Elena was really hoping to get some good and juicy information from him.
Obviously regular interrogation methods were useless to this man. So Elena again extracted his memory and learnt everything from it. After going through all the information that she had managed to extract, Elena nodded her head in satisfaction. Her speculations were correct and this man definitely knew a lot more than the other S rankers.
This old man's name was Jecob and he was the only S ranker here who was truly a part of the core organisation. The others were just regular members and were not told about any super important information. But that was not the case for Jecob and the information he was aware of was extremely important and vital.
Other than killing the important locals of Inazuyan Archipelago, there was one another mission that the organisation had planned for this group. But only Jecob was aware of it and all the other bandits were supposed to participate in this plot without knowing anything in detail.
As for what that plan was, Elena decided to not tell the other adventurers and the marchants about it. This plot was very dangerous and just knowing about it would put everyone here in danger. That was why Elena kept this new information to herself and decided to notify a suitable higher up about it after reaching the Inazuyan Archipelago.
...
After returning from the bandit's lair, Elena's group met up with the marchants and continued their journey. Now they had a bit more materials to carry and an extra passenger who was a powerful old man. But even with this luggage, the merchants had no problem as they had an extra high speed carriage.
This time, the merchants rushed the journey and took as little breaks as possible. They knew that now with this organisation pulling strings from the backstage, the whole archipelago was in danger. So reaching their destination as fast as possible was the most important thing for the time being.
With this increased pace, Elena's group managed to reach their target in a very short amount of time. Soon they reached a port and boarded a ship to reach the islands which were a part of the archipelago.
While the boat floated on the sea toward the land of falling thunder, all the members of the caravan came out to the deck of the ship. The change of the environment as they got closer to the archipelago was a legendary experience and even after seeing this for many times, almost no people ever got bored of it.
As all of them stood on the deck with excited looks on their faces, slowly the calm sea started to become turbulent and the clear sky became covered with black clouds. Purple, pink, red, green, blue, white, black and even golden and silver coloured lightning was running through this sea of black cloud continuously. This was an extremely awesome sight that made all the first time watchers breathless.
After seeing them with her own eyes, Elena immediately realised that the giant elders had failed to recreate even one percent of the beauty that this Inazuyan Archipelago had. She was truly glad that she was not satisfied with just what she had experience about this place in the dream trial and had decided the visit the real deal.
The air was filled with slight electricity and that gave everyone a tingling sensation. Anyone who had high affinity with the lightning element would have an easier time mastering their spells in this place and the power of their lightning elemental spells would also see a rise.
But for the time being, no one cared about that. That was because the view of an island belonging to the Inazuyan Archipelago became clear before everyone's eyes slowly but surely. And that was amazing.
The shining purple crystals on the Island, the the cherry blossom trees which looked extremely beautiful, the unique looking houses of the locals, everything looked perfect together. It really created a mystical atmosphere that tranced all the people for a few moments.
Elena was extremely satisfied with what she had managed to observe. She was now really looking forward to stepping foot on the island. At the same time, she also wanted to protect this beautiful place from getting destroyed because of greed. So in her heart, she decided to do something so that the Inazuyan Archipelago would not need to see a second terrible all out war.
Soon the boat reached the island and Elena's group stepped foot on it. They were already able to sense how high the concentration of the lightning element was in this place while they were in the ship. But after stepping foot on the island, they felt that as if this concentration increased by a few times.
After that, everyone decided to go on their separate ways for the time being and to do whatever they could to help the islands. But they also made a plans to meet up after three days to discuss what they should do going forward.
Elena actually wanted to solve this whole situation in those three days. But to do that she needed more information. So, Elena decided to visit the most influential person of this island to get just that.
