Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning

Chapter 731: Ch 731: Inazuyan Archipelago (2)

To learn about the most influential person of this island, Elena decided to visit the markets and taverns of this place and to keep her ears open. Very soon, while she was browsing a shop which sold various things made from the signature purple crystal of the archipelago, she heard two men talking about a criminal guild.

These two people were hiding in a remote alley and by tracking them, Elena found that this alley had a hidden entrance that led to a large underground area. Having such area in an island was quite rare and Elena was very impressed.

Even though this news was not about what Elena was looking for, a criminal guild like this was a good source of information. Elena could just beat them up and interrogate them as much as she wished. So she also followed behind the two shady men and entered the secret passage which led to the underground.

After entering this area, Elena completely covered herself with a black robe. This would look suspicious and out of place in most normal areas but as most of the people in this secret part of the island was dressed in similar fashion, Elena managed to blend in with the place easily.

Then she again started to listen to various people talking. Here, most of the people tried to maintain as much security as possible while conversing. They spoke in a light voice and some even used magic to get rid of the sound. But all these methods were nothing before Elena, so she managed to clearly hear everything that the people around her were saying.

From those conversations, Elena quickly found her next target. There was a shop here that sold all kinds of information about the Inazuyan Archipelago for a high fees. Many people complained about the high prices but as the service and accuracy of this shop was very high, many people again went back to them even with the high charges.

Elena did not attack the shop to capture the owner to interrogate and instead went there as a regular customer. Then she talked with one of the staff present there and asked him about the rates in this place. After learning about that from the lecture of the young man whom Elena had asked this question, she asked him to bring her all the information that this place had about the Inazuyan Archipelago.

This made the young man to hesitate a bit but when Elena took out a lot of money equivalent to 1 million R, the young man immediately became happy and quickly went to bring the information.

The reputation of this place was not unfounded and Elena was happy with the information that she managed to get. She did need to pay 1.2 million R for them but as the information was very detailed and covered the whole archipelago, Elena found that the price tag for this was not unjustified. As she was able to get all the information she needed without using force, she did not target the owner here and happily left. The owner had managed to saved his life by running his business fairly.

...

From the information that she had bought, Elena managed to find almost everything that she needed. There were two types of islands in the archipelago, large ones and small ones. All the large islands had a special shrine at the top point of that island and the master of the shrine, the shrine maidens were in charge of those locations.

But most of the time, the shrine maidens did not take care of the mundane job by themselves and instead made someone their representative who did all the administrative works. But as all the shrine maidens had access to powerful abilities, the defense of the islands were still left in their hands.

All the shrine maidens were at least above level 350 and there were even 15 demigods among them. There was a small note beside this information that said - "This report only mentioned the current acting shrine maidens. The previous shirne maidens are not included in this report and most of them had either went to the divine world of the Thunder Goddess or were living here while hiding their true identity."

So Elena judged that the actual number of demigods in the Inazuyan Archipelago was way more than just 15. In that case, even if the Thunder Destroyer Guild had more demigods than what that old man knew, they would still have no chance of winning against the archipelago forces. Even with the terrible plan that Elena had found out, they would have less than 10 percent chance of winning.

That was how the management of the large islands happened. As for the small islands like the one Elena current was in, powerful individual who were able to receive the blessing from the shrines were given the role of adminstrator. With that blessing, the adminstrators were able to use the innate lightning of the island which made them incredibly strong as long as they were on the islands.

As Elena read of the information, soon she managed to find out how the Thunder Destroyer Guild had a chance even with their limited strength. It looked like they were not targetting the shrines at all and were only fighting the adminstrators and representatives. The shrine maidens had a restriction that if their shrine itself was not attacked, they would not be allowed to use their vast powers for anything. So by not targetting the shrines, the Thunder Destroyer Guild could avoid clashing with the extremely powerful shrine maidens. This rule was true for even the previous shrine maidens.

Now Elena understood the whole picture. If they only targetted the adminstrators and some representatives, then with the plot that they had in mind, they would have a more than 50 percent chance to win the war. And it looked like with their own positions in trouble, the adminstrators for the islands would definitely take this situation seriously.

...

After understanding it, Elena immediately tried to make contact with the adminstrator of the island on which she was currently in. The adminstrator here was called Mahito and he currently was living in the general affairs office. Quite a lot of information about Mahito was written on the information that Elena had bought. So she was able to learn a lot about him.

It looked like he was just a level 309 powerhouse. An administrator at least needed to be a S rank powerhouse but most of them were at least above the level of 320. But it looked like Mahito was not really interested in gaining strength and was more fond of civil affairs.

But because of this reason, even with his low power level, he was well connected with a lot of other administrators. In that case, he would be excellent for spreading the news about what the Thunder Destroyer Guild was planning if Mahito was not a spy. Elena would only know about it if she saw him in person. So now Elena was finally going to pay him a visit.
