The grand party hosted by the Shrine maiden was happening in the large scale island that was under her control and the main venue was a large building which was a palace for the Shrine maiden to live in her leisure time.

The shrine maidens spent most of their time in their shrines as that place had a slight connection to the divine realm of the thunder goddess. But staying there all the time was not good for mental health. So there were times when the maidens would come down from the mountain. And the current time was just like that.

The venue was decorated extremely tastefully. The people who were responsible for it were the young priestesses, so Elena was extremely impressed by it. Her yellow dress was actually also chosen by them to perfectly match with the decorations.

As Elena came before the venue, two priestesses came to greet her. One of them looked extremely similar to Hibiki and the other one was a gentle looking lady with a bun.

Actually the girl who looked very similar to Hibiki was Hibiki herself. Even though she was a demigod rank powerhouse, she was not really very well known in the Inazuyan Archipelago. Only the high ranking people who had made deals with her previously were aware of her existence.

This was a required thing for any assassins. Being too well known was never a good thing for them. Hibiki also did not have any desire to be famous so it worked out perfectly for her.

Her current identity as the shrine maiden was just one of the many roles that she had created for herself. She was also going to participate in the party with a different personality for hers.

That personality was that of a rich businesswoman who was something like a rival for Kizuna. With this role, she could easily got closer to people who hated Kizuna and could act as a spy. None of Kizuna's enemies would have ever guessed that the person who was supposed to be her largest enemy was actually her subordinate.

When Elena had first heard about this, she was quite impressed. This was an excellent plan that helped Kizuna in many ways. Elena found this to be very funny too.

The lady who was with Hibiki was actually her aunt and was aware of her secret identity. She was also a very naughty and gossip loving lady. So after seeing that her introverted niece actually respected this beautiful lady so much, she started to tell Elena about many embarassing stories from Hibiki's childhood. This made Hibiki extremely flustered and Elena was super entertained. That was how the few hours before the start of the main party were quite enjoyable for Elena.

As Elena was walking toward the hall where the main event was going to happen, suddenly someone hugged her from behind. Obviously Elena had sensed this person long ago and allowed her to do so. As for who this lucky person was. It was none other than Kizuna who was meeting Elena for the first time after she had suddenly disappeared three days ago.

Kizuna was quite angry at Hibiki for taking Elena away without telling her but as she was quite busy for the last three days, she was unable to find any time to even contact Elena and Hibiki. That was why Kizuna was so clingy after seeing Elena now.

Elena did not mind the clinginess and lightly patted Kizuna's head. She even rubbed her fox ears gently which made Kizuna to let out a comfortable sigh. There were almost no one who had the privilege to touch her fox ears. So Elena having this privilege showed how much Kizuna trusted her. No one would ever believe that Elena and Kizuna had known each other for less than a weak.

After Kizuna was satisfied with the clinging, she managed to become a bit normal. She and Elena then started to walk toward the main hall together. While walking toward it, Kizuna started to ask Elena about the matter regarding the corrupted officials.

Hibiki had sent a letter to Kizuna to not keep her in the dark regarding the matter of the corrupted officials but the letter that was sent was severely lacking in details. So instead of having a better understanding of the situation after getting the letter, Kizuna actually became more confused about what was happening. This was all Hibiki's fault as she purposefully had used wierd language in the latter to mess with Kizuna.

After learning the details from Elena and seeing that it was a very simple matter and boy serious at all, Kizuna also started to look forward to the drama. Who did not love a story where a poor underdog came out at top and won against the evil rich overlords ? So Kizuna was planning to enjoy the live drama.

Saki and Tahiro were two merchants who were severely effected by the officials. Saki had inherited her large business from her father but after getting targeted by the officials, she was having a tough time maintaining so many people working under her.

As for Tahiro, he was a common Lightning Phantom demon who had been doing various kinds of businesses for almost a thousand years. Many of his business ideas had failed and he finally managed to get a decent footing after he started his thunder jade business.

With this business doing well, he decided to settle down after being single for thousands of years and got married. He even managed to have a kid in just three years. So suddenly Tahiro found himself with a decent business, a loving family and it looked like it was finally time for him to live a happy and satisfactory life.

But then the evil officials targeted him and his happy life became troublesome all of a sudden. He lost one of his shops, had to sell a significant portion of his stored jade to the officials for dirt cheap and even lost contact with one of his suppliers. This destabilized his regular life immensely. So much so that, Tahiro was not able to send his little girl to the famous Soraniya academy anymore as that was now too expensive for him to handle.

This whole incident had made Tahiro to hold a great grudge toward those officials. His daughter was doing fine in the regular school and was happy with her life. But still as a father, Tahiro was disappointed that he was unable to give his daughter the best possible treatment.

That was why when he got this opportunity to act against the officials, he did not think even for a second before making the decision to take it.
