"When I investigated the samples found in the outer part of the island, I did not manage to find anything suspicious in them. But the samples of the defeated monsters had quite a few unknown and special energy traces."

"Among those traces, there was one which I managed to find in the plants located in the middle area. We also managed to find a few plants with high medicinal value, right ? All of them had this suspicious energy trace."

"But still I was not completely sure that this energy trace was the true reason for the abnormalities of this place as there were few other types of unknown traces present in the samples too and I had no idea what mind of effects this energy might have."

"But after I was able to completely investigate the remains of the special monsters, I became sure of the fact that the energy trace I had suspected at first is definitely responsible for all this."

"All the special monsters had a large amount of this energy in their bodies. It looked like this energy had created a mutation in them which has given them their special abilities."

"As for what this special energy is, I'm still not sure. I can feel a that it have some similarities to divinity but I'm not entirely convinced. I think we will be able to find more specimen with the energy in the deep region, so I am hoping that then I will be able to find out more about this energy."

After listening to the long speach that Kizuna gave, Escora and Hibiki also started to state their thought. Hibiki said -

"Hmm, from what you said, I think this Island had some kind of connection of a god. I think only a god would have the power to create such strong demigod rank beings."

"I also think that. Without the presence of a god, I don't think something like this possible."

Hearing them, Kizuna nodded her head but then she shook it. Then she said -

"I also think that to be the case but do not forget about the incident that happened in Heizhun Rift."

Hearing that Hibiki's eyes widened. Escora and Elena were not aware of whatever this Heizhun Rift was, so they looked at Kizuna and Hibiki with curiosity. Noticing that, Kizuna started to tell the two curious ladies about the Heizhun Rift Incident which was a very famous story that almost all the demigods of the Inazuyan Archipelago knew about.

About 3 thousand years ago, a spatial rift suddenly appeared in the middle of the sea, very close to a large island of the Inazuyan Archipelago. The group of sailors who had first came across it all had died from monster attacks just after discovering it.

Thak rift had some kind of attraction that forced monsters to come near it. So the area close to the rift turned into a danger zone almost overnight. As this area was close to a populated island, the adminstrators immediately took steps to get rid of it.

A few demigods worked together to defeat all the gathered monsters and started to investigate the rift to find a way to stop it from attracting more monsters. As for destroying it, the demigods had tried but the rift was illusory in nature and all the attacks just passed through it harmlessly.

The initial investigation of this rift was a failure but later on, a very intelligent Shrine Maiden took over the duty to look after this rift. She was a powerful level 602 powerhouse, so with her there, everything was under control.

She took almost two decades to create a new barrier spell that could block the attraction of the rift. With this everyone sighed in relief as it looked like the perfect solution. But the Shrine Maiden who had the title of "Curious Madlady" continued to stay close to the rift as she was not satisfied with the amount of things that she had managed to find out about the mysterious rift.

Just like that, almost a century passed and nothing happened. Almost all the people had almost forgotten about the existence of this mysterious rift. But then suddenly something insane happened. For the first time in the history of Inazuyan Archipelago, a Shrine Maiden was killed.

When this news spread, almost all the people found it to be unbelievable. That was because all the shirne maidens were protected by the special power of the Great Thunder Goddess. Even if they died, they would immediately be resurrected in the Shrine that they were in charge of. So true death was almost impossible for a Shrine Maiden, specially for an acting one.

Immediately after that, a group of 16 shrine maidens and several more retired Shrine Maidens went to investigate this ground breaking incident and what they show there was insane.

The whole sea area close to the rift had turned into a death zone. Anyone below the rank of a demigod would immediately die as soon as they entered the place. As for the Island that was close to this area, that was fortunately still perfectly fine.

The Shrine Maiden "Curious Madlady" had erected an extremely powerful barrier to not allow this danger zone to spread anymore. The zone itself was slowly destroying the barrier and it would not be able to hold out for too long. But the amount of time it was able to buy was enough for the other Shrine Maidens to do something about it.

As for the reason behind the creation of this danger zone, it was large halberd shining with dark red and pitch black colours. One of the Shirne maidens used a past read spell to see what had happened and they saw the sudden creation of the halberd from the mysterious rift, Curious Madlady's life and death battle against it and her last moments where she managed to seal the halberd here but in exchange, she lost her life.

As for why the halberd was able to break through the resurrection method, the reason for that was simple. The method of resurrection was there to protect her from powers below the god rank but this halberd was a natural divine weapon which exceeded the level of 700. That was the reason why it was able to kill her.

After that, the Shrine Maidens had to work together to set up a grand formation through which the Thunder Goddess sent a clone of hers to take care of the halberd. Currently this halberd had became one of the trump card that needed the cooperation of at least 10 Shrine Maidens to be used.

The creation of this halberd was completely a natural occurance and none of the gods had anything to do with it directly. From this incident, it became clear that it was possible for a god level item to be born even without the participation of any of the gods. So Kizuna suspected that there was a possibility that this Island could also have something like that.

After taking this into account, all the ladies became even more cautious. Now it was time for them to enter the deep region which was an uncharted territory. Even the giant elder who came here last time had turned back after exploring the middle area and had not entered the deek area.

So what kind of mystical things could be found in the deep area of this mysterious Island ? And what exactly was the source of the special energy ?
