The city of Xamanetra was situated in the western part of the Myrilia kingdom but it was not under the complete rule of the kingdom. They had a semi autonomous status. Before going to the city Elena had collected a lot of information about that place.

This city had three great families who were in charge of the city - The Oliver family, the Krueta family and the Faxi family. Among them the Oliver family had the most economic power in the city and they were owners of almost 60% of the business. The Krueta family was the ruling family and the head of this family was the mayor of the city. They had the strongest political power inside the city. The last family, Foxi had a very good relationship with the adventurer guild of the city. They had employed almost 90% of the adventurers living in the city including the only A rank one, who was the head of the family. So all three of these families had quite a lot of power inside the city. The mission Elena got for her rank up test was the mission to investigate the disappearance of the Krueta family's heirloom treasure.

One week ago, this treasure got stolen from the secret vault of the family. As soon as the treasure got stolen a special alarm rang and the mayor got notified. This stealing was actually done by a famous thief. This thief had been living in the Xamanetra city for quite some time but had only targeted unimportant inhabitants before this crime. So this one was his biggest theft so far. And Elena had to either catch him or had to find some genuine clues to finish this mission.

This item was a very important item for the Krueta family and it was related to the founding of their family so they were willing to pay any sum of money to get it back. Elena was not the first adventurer to take this mission but the last team who took it were unsuccessful and they were an A rank adventurer team that came from a different country by Krueta family's request. As even a A rank party failed to complete this mission that was why the headquarters of the adventurer guild decided to give this mission to Elena as a S rank promotion mission.

It didn't take Elena much time to reach this city with teleportation. As Elena left the Urasula city very early in the morning, the city gates of Xamanetra were just getting opened for regular citizens. Elena entered the city at this early hours almost making the guard think that he was seeing dreams where a beautiful girl was asking him out (asking to enter the city actually).

After entering Elena this time didn't go to the Adventurer Guild as according to the mission report, everything that the knew was already conveyed to her through this report. So she didn't need to go to the guild to gather information this time as the very first step. It was also possible that this thief might have an accomplice in the guild.

To find a single person was always more difficult, especially in a city like this which had a high population. That's why she would go to the adventurer guild later.

So, Elena first booked a room in an inn and then changed her looks and went to a tavern. With her extremely beautiful face it was hard for her to become inconspicuous normally and that was why she changed her looks. She also wore a normal low ranking adventurer like gear and took a corner table. She ordered some drinks and some snacks to go with it.

After that she sat there for about 1 hour to listen to various adventurers and mercenaries. She heard some rumours about the thief which was a hot topic in this city about none of these gave Elena any news about the thief himself. So, she went to fulfill her true objective for which he came to this particular tavern. She went to the owner who was working at the cash counter.

She didn't waste any time there and used her Celestial Mystic Fox power to charm him. Then Elena asked him to take her to a private room in the tavern. Inside the private room she asked various questions to the owner about the thief, about the 3 ruling families and about the city itself. After getting answers to all her questions Elena was able to get a good idea of how this works. She didn't get any concrete information about the thief but she got some clues that might be helpful.

After leaving the tavern Elena went to the house of the Krueta family to ask them about the item and to search for more clues. She went there with her actual looks as she didn't need a fake identity there. After telling the gatekeeper that she wanted to meet with the family head, the gatekeeper was unable to reject such beauty and even the family head John Krueta was unable to resist her beauty and welcomed her even tho he had no idea why she wanted to meet him.

After hearing that she was an A rank adventurer and that the adventurer guild had given her this mission, he became super serious and answered Elena's questions with his best efforts.

She mostly questioned him about the item instead of the thief as she knew he would have no idea about that. After hearing the whole story, she really found the thief to be very quite good at his job. That item was a small pendant which was blessed by a high god. Even John didn't have any idea which god had blessed it but he was sure that it was a high god as the temple had verified it. It was said that as long as this pendant was inside the house no harm would fall on the family. So they took really good care of the pendant.

It was protected inside a magical vault and that magical voult was inside the most guarded underground room of the house. Only the direct descendants of the Krueta family knew about that place's existence. The family also had three wizards using sensing magic 24/7 to check if any intruder was trying to reach the vault.

The only reason they were able to quickly find out that the pendant had been stolen because the voult also had a magic that alerted the family head if the presence of divinity inside it vanished. As soon as he found the alert, he instantly locked down not only his house but also the whole city to find the culprit. But alas, everything was futile. The most weird thing about this whole process was that the intruder didn't leave any traces of himself. Nobody knew how he entered the house or house he exited it. He was like a phantom with no presence at all.

Elena also asked him to show the room and the vault to her. She didn't just want to use the broken combination of {Total Clairvoyance} and {Perfect Analysis} to solve the case instantly. Instead she was going to enjoy her remaining time before she had to join the academy as the headmaster. So she checked every nook and cranny and was actually able to find some little clues with her heightened senses.

Happy with her discovery she left the mayor's house.
