Lauka was a girl from a village located near the sea. Her family were fishermen and lived a decent live by catching various kinds of fishes from the sea. Lauka had a happy family consisting of her parents, two older brothers and one little sister.
She always used to think that her life was very boring in the village and she was already looking for adventures and excitement. One day her wish came true but not in the way she wanted.
Her father and big brother were out to the sea to catch fish while her mother was also visiting a neighbour's house with her little sister. As Lauka was feeling bored inside the empty house, she decided to sneak out and play in a nearby forest.
But that turned out to be the worst decision of her life. While Lauka was chasing after a butterfly in the forest, a group of five people wearing mask suddenly appeared and captured her.
Lauka was just 10 years old at that time and was completely powerless against them. So just like that, she was captured and soon became a slave.
As slaves were not legal in this region, there was no proper way to register them. For that reason, Lauka was transported in complete secrecy. She was stuffed inside barrells, boxes and even various furnitures. She was also given the minimal amount of food so that she could barely keep her life but have no strength to do anything else.
This way, Lauka was brought to a hidden house located inside an underwater cave. In that house, Lauka saw many other children just like her. All of them were also kidnapped from their villages.
That house was called a training camp by the adults present there but for the children, it was synonymous to hell. All the children there were continuously beaten, insulted and tortured in order to make them more obedient.
In that hellish place, Lauka had spent two whole years. All the childish excitement that she had, had completely disappeared now. Now she was like a broken doll, perfectly obedient, just what the slave traders liked.
After her traning was completed, she was again secretly brought out to a very beautiful city located under the sea. Lauka had never seen or heard of anything like that. Seeing it for the first time, the little blaze of adventuring had sprouted in her broken heart again. But soon that blaze was extinguished as soon as she noticed her current terrible situation.
After bringing her to this beautiful city, Lauka was again locked inside the underground basement of a house. Then after staying there for three days and night, she was finally brought out to be sold.
The person who was buying her looked like a very normal demon from the first glance. But the hint of cruelty that Lauka had noticed in this man's eyes had made her scared. She was sure that her future was not going to be a pleasant one with this man as her buyer.
But Lauka was powerless to change anything. She could not solve her current predicament. Even if she wanted to die, her captors would not even allow that. Just thinking about this made her already broken heart to crack even more.
Lauka wanted to apologise to her mother for always running away from home. She wanted to hug her father and say how much she loved him. She also wanted to play with her two big brothers and most importantly, she wanted to feel the warmth of her little sister. But now, she could not ever get any of these things back. She had lost it for forever.
Just as the cruel man was about to grab her head to check her out more thoroughly, Lauka suddenly saw a bright flash of blade. Then she saw the headless body of the cruel man who was just about to grab her. She also heard the sound of something falling behind her and looking back, she also saw the headless body of the slave trader.
Seeing such a gory situation, a normal twelve years old girl would be scared. She might scream and even faint. But Lauka's reaction was completely different from anything like that. Instead of feeling scared, what she felt was joy. So much joy that for the first time in two years, her face bloomed into a smile.
Anyone watching this scene would say that the smile Lauka had was very beautiful. But at the same time, it was scary. The dark emotions that was radiating from her eyes was enough to freeze someone.
After giving the corpse of the slave trader a happy and scary look, she looked at the person who was responsible for this. It was beautiful lady with golden hair. All the dark emotions that Lauka had completely vanished when she looked at this beautiful lady, her shining hero.
...
After making her decision, Elena did not waste even a second and immediately took action. She disappeared from her spot and appeared in the location where the slave trading was taking place. Then with a simple swing of her sword, she beheaded both the slave trader and the buyer.
Elena had already completed her investigation about the slave trading circle that was active here. Slave trading was rare because most of the cities never allowed it and strictly destroyed any sign of it appearing.
But still it had managed to blossom here in such a large scale mostly because the city of Golvika. It looked like the higher ups of that city was more corrupted and evil than Elena had expected.
Elena was not planning to interfere with the pirates and the government's fight because she was confident that the White Cat pirates would be able to win. But now she was going to bring to swift end to it all.
The slave trader was very clearly evil but the buyer was even more so. He had a sick hobby of torturing young children, so scum like that was better of death in Elena's opinion.
After swiftly killing the two vile people, Elena went and opened the cage trapping the children. One little girl was outside the cage and she gave Elena a very intense stare. She also had a relieved and excited smile on her face.
This smile was very familiar to Elena. She had seen the same type smile many many times in the past. Some might say that this kind of smile was bad, especially for a children. But according to Elena's experience, all the people with smile like this had been strong and brave. So in her eyes, this smile was the sign of having a strong heart.
So Elena patted the little girl's head and invited all of them into her mini world. As this was a sudden operation, she had not really really prepared any place for the rescued people to rest. So she decided to use her mini world as the place to nurse these freed slaves. She had already informed the inhabitants of her mini world about this and they were ready to accepted the rescued people.
After taking care of the the matter here, Elena disappeared from the dark alley. Her next destination was a large building located in a bustling area of the city. On this day, no one would be spared from her judgement.
