Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning

Chapter 836: Ch 836: Sword Elena Vs Azusa (1)

What Elena started teaching Cherry next was about spells. Cherry was young and her level was low. So she would be taught the elemental system of magic for the time being. Only after reaching the levels above the 300 to 400 would she be able to glimpse into the conceptual magic system which was the mainstream of this universe. To truly use conceptual magic, one needed to cross the threshold of level 1000 first.

Elemental magic system was highly depended on the elemental affinity of a person. Fortunately, Cherry was quite fine in this regard as she had a high affinity for the fire and the wind element. So her initial advancement in the path of magic should he very straightforward.

So Elena started to teach her how she could create her own magic. This was a very unusual thing for a young apprentice to learn but according to Elena, this was the best possible way to create a truly strong foundation for a mage.

The magic system of this world was slightly different from the other ones and it was actually one of the best system in Elena's opinion. Instead of restricting the mages to a certain path, this magic system gave them a lot of freedom. That was awesome in Elena's eyes.

As Cherry was more suitable for the wind element, her next task was to follow the instructions that Elena had given her to create a simple wind spell. It did not matter how weak or strong the spell itself was but it needed to be a complete spell without any defects.

This was definitely not something that a young apprentice with limited knowledge and ability should be able to do. But throughout the whole night, Elena had trained Cherry for this exact task. The first lesson of magic fundamental had solved the problem of her not having enough knowledge and the second lesson about mana manipulation had made the task of creating the brand new spell much easier. Now she only needed to work hard and she should be able to complete her task without much trouble.

...

While Cherry was busy researching a new spell in the outside world, Azusa was also investigating the ruin in the mini world. The Ruin itself was like a dungeon and had several underground floors. So this whiole thing was taking quite a bit of time.

This ruin did not have a lot of dengerous monsters but it did have a lot of traps. Most of the traps also either attacked her with some kind of darkness related trouble or it weakend her and threw her into situation that she was uncomfortable with.

From this Azusa could easily understand the reason behind this setup. Her big sister Elena was using this trial to put her into situations that would give her specific type of experience which would be useful in learning the lesser concepts that Elena currently knew.

This was a very well thought out plan and if Azusa could not take advantage of this and learn the lesser concepts now, then she should just become the new stupid deer of this world. So she was very focused on taking full advantage of this trial in order to learn as much as she could.

As Azusa made steady progress, soon she reached the final level of the ruin dungeon. As for what challenge waited her here, it was another Elena clone who had a cold look on her face and a sword in her hand.

This Elena's level was 6999 which way was lower than Azusa's own. But the aura she was giving off was insane. Azusa could feel that this was definitely going to be one of the hardest battle of her life.

As soon as she came face to face with the level 6999 Elena, she got a quest called "Defeat the Last Boss". That was not all. She was also told that if she had died 10 times in this battle without killing the boss at least once, she would be kicked out of Elena's mini world for the time being and would fail the whole trial.

Inside the dungeon, Azusa had managed to find most of the other ingredients for the apothecary Elena. So with a single quick little trip to a few places, she would be able to get the rewards of massage from her big sister. So she did not want to fail the test before that at any cost.

With this determination in mind, Azusa faced off against the sword using Elena.

...

The result of first three battles between Elena and Azusa was terrible. In all the battles, Azusa was completely destroyed by Elena and was chopped into thousands of pieces. She had died all three of the times in seconds and each one of her death was more terrible than the last.

This version of Elena was almost like a killing machine. She had no emotion other that thought of fight and killing. All the decisions that this Elena made were perfectly optimal to deal with various situations while spending the least amount of energy. Slaughter and killing was almost like a work of art in her hands.

Azusa was aware that her big sister's weapon of preference was sword and she was extremely good with it. But she had no idea that the difference between her two weapon mastery was this extreme. Actually Azusa had already sparred with the real Elena in spear art and was quite impressed by how good she was. But her mastery of the sword was on a whole different level.

For this entire battle, Elena had not used anything but sword arts. No concept magic, no special skills, no racial abilities. Nothing like that. Only an emotionless lady and her sword. This once again showed Azusa how insanely strong this big sister of hers was.

As this current Elena was actually just a clone, it was actually no where near as strong as the real one even in terms of just sword mastery. So it was unbelievable how strong the real deal actually was. Azusa even felt as if her big sister would be able to match her father in strength, which was an absurd thing to even think about.

Her father was a level 9000 plus powerhouse who stood at the top of the universe. There were people who might be able to match him but to have the ability to defeat him, almost no one like that existed. Currently Elena was definitely not a level 9000 plus powerhouse. So what did it implied for someone like that to match a true level 9000 powerhouse ? How strong would she be when she had actually reached that same level ?

Azusa did not continue thinking about it and got ready for the upcoming battle. Losing like this was very humiliating and she was feeling extremely angry. She did not want to just admit defeat to an incomplete clone of her big sister. She wanted to prove herself and stand beside her and not behind her. So Azusa again got ready for one of the most important battle of her life.
