Obviously there was no way that Elena would refuse to help Haity. This trouble was something that she could fix with just a little bit of effort on her part. So there was no reason for Elena to not help her out.

As the situation was dire, it was prudent to start the investigation right away. But there was a problem. Elena still needed to bid for the Saphiria's Determination so she needed to stay in the auction house for the time being.

As Elena was thinking about using a clone to start the investigation first, Azusa spoke up and reassured Elena that she would get the Saphiria's Determination bracelet for her. So Elena could focus on finding Haity's sister without any worry.

Elena was relieved to hear that and handed Azusa a large sum of money. Azusa also had quite a lot of Stella herself but as she also needed to redeem the previously bought items after the auction, Elena did not take any risks and handed Azusa enough money to solve any such troubles. After disappearing from the auction house, Elena appeared in an empty alley. Then she immediately used a spell to start the investigation process.

This spell was a fate concept related spell which could detect the karmic bonds of an individual. Normally all the high level individuals had several methods to conceal these bonds but according to Haity, her sister's level was definitely not above 5500, so Elena should have no trouble seeing through any concealment that she had.

The target of this spell was Haity and immediately several strings coming out from her body became visible to Elena. Among them, the most eye catching string was a mix of golden and pink. This string was connected to none other than Elena herself.

Among the other strings, there were a pink one connecting to Azusa. There were also several blue strings which represented a shallow relationship. There were also other pink strings which represented lustful feelings but all of those strings were faded in colour if compared to the pink string that was connected to Azusa.

Elena stopped looking at the unnecessary strings and soon found the necessary one. That was a deep purple string that show very strong familiar love. There were several such strings which showed that Haity and her sister were not the only ones from the Treust family who had managed to successfully run away and survive.

Elena track down the thickest purple string and started following it. This should belong to her big sister whose name was Haruhi. If there was no one stronger than Elena interfering, this method should be a success.

After following the string for a few seconds, Azusa started to feel that the path of the string was getting distorted. The strength behind this distortion was at level 6123 so if Haity was not underestimating her big sister then she was not the source of the distortion.

That means this distortion came from an outside influence. As the level of that person was over 6000, he was definitely a strong powerhouse even by this world's standard.

Even though the technique used to hide this string of karma was quite good, it was nothing before Elena with her superior levels. So the distortion lasted for only a few moments and after that the string become perfectly clear once more.

After using short range teleportation for a few more times, Elena immediately reached the location where Haruhi most probably was. This place was some distance away from the city on an island located in the middle of a large lake.

There was an old factory like building here which looked old and dilapidated from the outside but was extremely well decorated with magic formations and items inside. Breaking inside this old factory would not be easy even for a level 6000 powerhouse. It was an extremely well made secret base.

After finding her target, Elena first used a stealth spell to hide her presence. Not only that but she also activated an powerful stealth skill too.

With the use of these two spell and skill, she become perfectly hidden. But still Elena did not enter the secret base as she had another thing to do before that.

Elena was planning to do some interrogation so she was planning to keep the people inside the secret base alive for the time being. So there was a need to take precautions to make sure that no one would be able to run away. That was why she decided erect an invisible barrier around the whole island.

Instead of her trusty confinement barrier, Elena used a different kind of barrier this time. She used her newly learnt lesser concept of "Devouring" to create the barrier around the island. It was quite an unorthodox use of this concept as it was mainly an offensive and growth focus concept. It's defensive applications were few and far between.

After putting the barrier down, Elena was finally done with the preparation and entered the secret base. There were several powerful weapons and magic items inside it and there were also a decent amount of strong people. Elena did not alert anyone and was planning to first rescue Haruhi before starting the process of interrogation.

While Elena was busy with the rescue mission of Haity's sister, Azusa was participating in the auction on her behalf. Currently she was having a battle of wealth with another VIP present in this auction.

This VIP was a lady and had taken a liking to the Saphiria's Determination bracelet. She was extremely arrogant and could not let go of this item. So she had lost her mind and had inflated the price of the item by a large margin.

But even then, this amount of money was nothing to Azusa. She calmly increased her bidding amount as this arrogant VIP lady challenged her again and again. But at last, Azusa won the bidding war by paying an huge sum of 5.2 billion Stella.

This was the last item that Elena really wanted so after getting her hands on this, Azusa was quite relaxed. Now the auction only had three items left, so Azusa decided to calmly enjoy the rest of the show from now on.

But fate had something else in mind. As soon as Azusa relaxed, suddenly a commotion broke out in the auction house. Before the guards could do something to control the situation, they were taken out by a few masked people who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

This turn of event immediately alerted Azusa. These sudden intruders were not weak and one of them was even a level 6000 plus powerhouse. So even Azusa needed to cautious when dealing with someone like that as there was a very slight possibility that a person of that level might be able to run away from her.

That was how both Elena and Azusa suddenly found themselves in the middle of a group of enemies.
