After the fight had lasted for just over a minute, suddenly the flow of the battle started to change. Elema suddenly started to dominate the fight almost out of nowhere.

The reason for that was simple. During the previous stalemate situation, she was not just mindlessly fighting and hopping that her mana researve was bigger than the worm's. She was actually making some preparation in the background to get to an advantageous position.

As for what she did, it was something that could only be done to this monster. As it had many smaller and weaker souls, those souls individually had much weaker soul defense than what the monster's level implied.

So Elena secretly used the power of the Celestial Mystic Fox to slowly corrupt the souls and take control over them. The weakened soul defense made this task very easy. If it was any other powerhouse of this level, then Elena would not have been able to take control over them so easily.

But this monster worm was not something that could be defeated so easily. There was a very easy counter to what Elena was doing and the only reason why this worm had not used that counter all this time was only because it was a very stupid monster.

But when Elena had taken over almost 50 percent of its teeth, the worm finally used the safe counter which was simply to continuously transfer it's real soul to the other weaker ones. This way all the soul would be granted the same soul defense as the main soul for at least a moment.

As soon as this technique was used, Elena was unable to corrupt the small souls anymore. But even after this, Elena did not look worried or surprised at all. That was because, everything that had happened so far in this battle were perfectly in line with what Elena had speculated.

Actually, she had thought that this worm was going to stop her corruption way sooner. But the reaction of this worm was slower that what she had thought which was a good thing.

First Elena was only thinking about defeating this monster as soon as possible. But after seeing how slow it was in the brains department, she came up with a new plan. Instead of just killing it, she was thinking if she could tame this monster and take it in as her summon or not.

This was going to be an extremely hard task. The level difference between her and the monster was almost nothing, actually the monster's level was a little on the higher side. So taming something like this was almost impossible for someone of Elena's power level.

The only reason why she was even entertaining this idea was because of how sucessful her previous strategy had been. But Elena was not going to let her guard down because of this one success.

Now that the worm had lost most its teeth which were its main attack method, Elena obviously started to dominate the fight. AoE attacks like Spatial destruction, Time Annihilation and Gravity Maelstrom wrecked havoc on the worm monster's body.

But this situation also did not last for too long. After almost fifty percent of the worm's body had been destroyed, it suddenly started to use lesser concepts.

That was not surprising. Many monsters used lesser concepts so this worm knowing a few was perfectly within expectation. But what surprised Elena was the quality and the quantity of the lesser concepts.

The Cosmos Swallowing Worm used a total of seven lesser concepts and all of them were lesser concepts of very high quality. Yes, just now, Elena had finally managed to know the name of this monster worm's species. As for its individual name, it had none.

Another super interesting thing about the lesser concepts that the worm was using was it's nature. All of the seven lesser concepts were similar to her devouring. Most of their levels were even on the same level as Devouring itself which was crazy. One of them was actually stronger the Devouring even.

It had been a very short amount of time since Elena had gotten her hands on the devouring lesser concept. So her mastery of it still was limited to just level 3.

On the other hand, the Cosmos Swallowing Worm had all its lesser concepts at level 7 or 8. This gap was way too much so Elena did not even try to use her own Devouring to stop the monster worm. Instead she used her trusty dimension and temporal concepts to fight back.

Actually even though Elena was not trying to hold back in this fight, she still had to somewhat limit herself because of the existence of the Dimensional Anchor. She was unable to use quite a few of her flashy and extremely strong moves like the Convergence of Sword, which would definitely be able to defeat this worm monster without much trouble.

Elena was also unable to enter her main battle mode in this fight, which was the [Last Stand at the World's End]. As she did not know any of the people present in the Dimensional Anchor well, their position in her heart was non existent. The only person who had a position in her heart was Azusa but in this ordeal, her life was not in any kind of danger. Even though she was not capable of defeating this worm all on her own, escaping from it should not be a problem for her.

That was the reason why Elena was taking so much time to defeat this worm even though she had zero chances of losing against it.

After some deliberation, Elena decided to focus on breaking the spatial blockade first. The only thing that was currently restricting Elena was this blockade and the existence of the Dimensional Anchor here. After this was gone, she would be able to take her time to slowly plan if she wanted to capture this worm as her pet or she just wanted to kill it.

With her analysis, she had managed to find out a lot about this spatial lock. It was actually a racial skill of the Cosmos Swallowing Worm, [Cosmic Block]. Even though it was just a simple skill, the quality of this skill was super high. That was the reason why it was so troublesome.

Actually this skill was for blocking a whole world from getting help from any other worlds. So it covered a super mega large area. But currently, it was only being used in a very small area, which actually made the power of this blockade to be even stronger.

But still, after she was done analysing it, she managed to find a way to break through it. And that was by using her own extra race of Demogorgon which was actually a higher grade race than the Cosmos Swallowing Worm.

Now this battle was about to enter it's climax.
