After getting rest for a day, the four remaining participants of the tournament were all ready to go. Again after a random draw it was decided that Lucian Rokka would fight Tiove Hortalis and Colette would face off against Gabriel Riora.

After almost losing his last match Tiove finally got serious about winning the tournament so he used the information network of the Hortalis family to investigate his remaining opponents. From that information, he had judged Lucian to be the biggest threat. His ability to teleport was really broken as only very few S rank individuals or god's blessed individuals had the ability to do so.

Now he was a little sad that he had gotten the worst possible opponent. But he wasn't giving up or anything. He had already made some countermeasures for Lucian so he was still very confident with his chances. But this time, he didn't start with a dummy spear but took out Ikaros from the very beginning.

As soon as the match started Tiove felt a heavy pressure fall on him. It was Lucian's killing intent. Even tho, Shuri's summons were immune to it in his last match, that was not the case for Tiove. But he was prepared. How could he not have a plan ready for Lucian's most well known ability. He activated a magic item he was wearing and it cast a "Lion's heart" spell on him which could negate the effect of killing intent.

Then Tiove lifted up his spear and started his attacks with the first form. Even tho Tiove was able to resist the killing intent, he was still a little bit effective and his attack speed was slower than usual. So, Lucian was able to easily dodge the attack and even had time to counter attack. But Tiove was also not someone to be underestimated. He also used his brilliant spear techniques to fight head on.

But as the match went on Tiove felt that if he could not do anything special then he would definitely be defeated. He had already used the first and the second form several times but Lucian was able to handle them without much trouble. So he took a gamble and used the third form which was still incomplete but strong enough.

This sudden boost surprised Lucian a bit so he had to use his teleportation ability to dodge it. But Tiove was waiting for just this. He didn't manage to find any teleportation blocking artifacts, and the ones his family had needed high level individuals to use them so he was unable to use any of them. But he did find another space related treasure that was usable by him and it allowed him to find coordinates to someone's teleportation destination. And now was the best time for Tiove to use that artifact.

So he found the spot where Lucian would be teleporting and again took a gambit to use the third form. But this time he failed to activate the move. Lucian also had a very honed sense of combat and as soon as he teleported to his location his instincts alerted him of dangers so he blocked almost subconsciously. If Tiove was able to use the third form this time then he might be able to deal Lucian decent damage even if he blocked the attack. But as he was unsuccessful the attack was not very strong and Lucian was able to block it.

Not it was Lucian's time to get serious. He changed his fighting style from orthodox style to his natural wild style. He used his massive pool of real battle experience to almost toy with Tiove, showing him how much he lacked in this department.

After about 12 minutes, Tiove became unable to match Lucian at all. Even tho he could pinpoint where Lucian would appear next it was still impossible for him to take advantage of this situation as Lucian was prepared for him. And sometimes when he appeared in Tiove's blindspot, he was unable to react even tho he knew his location. Lucian was able to easily get his victory, once again showing why he was a force to be reckoned with.

The next fight was between Colette and Gabriel. The nobles had already lost all hope after Tiove's defeat and they had absolutely no hope for Gabriel's win. Some even hoped for this immediate defeat as his performing well as a bastard would just reflect badly on the nobles.

Gabriel was not concerned with those nobles. His only wish was to get a good ranking and the support of headmistress Elena to get himself out of the Riora family. So, he was just going to give his all and think about nothing more.

Even tho Colette won her last match, she felt tremendous pain while enduring the lightings. So she didn't want to conserve her strength anymore. Her goddess mother had assured her that whatever trouble came her way she would always be there for her. So, she was not least bit worried about showing the world her true powers.

This match started with Gabriel trying to attack Colette with his sword but he had to instantly jump back. Colette instantly cast a spell and created some kind of structure that was continuously shooting light balls. Gabriel had no time to think about anything but to dodge and defend himself from those continuous attacks.

As Gabriel was busy doing just that, from a corner of his eye he showed Colette casting another spell. A giant magic circle appeared in front of her and a pure white bird came out of it. That bird was 5 meters tall and the amount of power it was radiating was definitely above level 100. Gabriel was sure it would be impossible for him to defeat this bird.

But, was that enough for him to give up. Hell no. Even tho he could not defeat the summoned bird but if the summoner herself was defeated then that would be his victory. But as soon as he thought this and was trying to close his distance with Colette little by little withstanding the continuous light balls, Colette cast another spell and a hemispherical barrier appeared around her. And now finally the bird also left her side and started attacking Gabriel.

While Gabriel was almost on the verge of defeat he did desperate charge and was able to land a full power blow on Colette's barrier. But alas, the barrier didn't even get a crack. That was the last action he was able to perform before getting disintegrated by several light balls. Colette won the match and went to the finale.

After losing, Gabriel also appeared in Elena's office just like Octavia. He was bewildered by this sudden scene change but then he heard a soothing voice -

"Don't worry, Gabriel. You're inside my office. I know what you wish for. And congratulations. You got your wish fulfilled. You will be regarded as a special student of the academy with no other ties outside it. I will personally make sure that you can get out of the Riora family. You will also become my personal student. Do you have any problems with these arrangements ?"

The stunned Gabriel quickly composed himself hiding the overwhelming feeling of freedom and joy and replied -

"No problem. Thanks for everything, teacher Elena!"
