Realm of Infinity

Chapter 87: Void eater and Abyss

The small, glowing sphere sat on Noah's desk, vibrating with dark energy. As Noah's voice echoed in the room, the seal on the sphere dissolved.

A plume of black smoke spiraled upward, solidifying into the form of the demon Beelzebub.

In the previous battle, the demon had been a nightmare of teeth and shadow. Now, however, Beelzebub stood before Noah with his head bowed. The arrogance that usually defined a high-ranking demon was completely gone.

Beelzebub could still feel the phantom pressure of the crown Noah had worn earlier. That crown did not merely represent authority. It carried a weight that seemed to surpass even the laws of the universe.

Beelzebub was a half-step Transcended being, a creature that could usually ignore the threats of mortals. Yet he knew with absolute certainty that Noah could have erased his existence with a single thought. It was not just power. It was an absolute hierarchy.

"What do you want to talk about, sir?" the demon asked.

His voice was no longer a roar, but a polite and measured tone. He was no longer shaking with fear, but the respect in his eyes was genuine.

Noah leaned back in his chair, his eyes sharp.

"The being who summoned you, the one the Chaos Temple calls a 'Sage'.Do you know what type of creature they are? They are detached from the laws of the universe."

Beelzebub nodded slowly.

"The one who summoned me was a Void Eater. They are a very rare species that lives outside the normal boundaries of the universe, in the vast cosmos outside."

"Void Eaters?" Noah repeated. The name tasted of cold ash.

"Yes, my lord," Beelzebub replied. "They are parasites of the cosmos. They survive by eating newly formed universes or by hunting powerful creatures who have mastered the laws."

"They are born in the World Realm, making them naturally stronger than almost anything in a standard universe. However, there are very few of them. They are solitary hunters, usually find new universes to live and eat it when time is perfect."

Noah tapped his chin.

"How do you know so much about them? They seem like something even an Immortal King would never encounter."

"Where I come from is called the Abyss, or the Demon Realm," Beelzebub explained. "It is a plane of existence fundamentally similar to the Realm of Infinity."

"It is not a single universe with planets and stars. It is an endless, layered realm of chaos. The Abyss is connected to countless different worlds."

"Because of this, we demons are often summoned to many different planes. In my long life, I have been to thousands of worlds and met many Void Eaters who were trying to feast on those same places."

Noah was intrigued. The scale of the multiverse was starting to reveal itself to him.

"Tell me about the power structure of this Abyss."

Beelzebub's expression became serious.

"The Abyss is divided into parts. In the Lower Realm, where I spent most of my time, a Demon King, equivalent to an Immortal King, is the highest level of power."

"Once a demon transcends that limit, they can move to the Middle realm. Those beings are like gods to us."

"As for the Upper Realm, it is mostly a myth. I have heard stories that the beings there are members of the Primordial Worlds, the ones who actually created the Abyss and the Realm of Infinity themselves."

Noah felt a jolt of realization.

He had thought he was reaching the peak of power, but Beelzebub's words proved he was still only in the lower section of the food chain. There were entire layers of existence above him.

He looked at the demon again.

Beelzebub was powerful, knowledgeable, and now, humbled.

"I want you to serve under me," Noah said.

It was not a question. It was a statement of fact that left no room for negotiation. If he agreed, Noah would spare him, if not, he would kill him.

To Noah's surprise, Beelzebub did not look insulted. In fact, he looked like he had just won the lottery.

He dropped to his knees, his eyes bright with ecstasy.

"Yes, my lord! I want to serve you! It would be my greatest honor!"

Noah did not waste time. He initiated a Master-Servant Pact.

As the magical contract settled into their souls, a strange phenomenon occurred. Beelzebub had been feeling a constant rebound force from Earth's universe.

The world itself had been trying to push him out because he was a creature of darkness.

The moment the contract was signed, that pressure vanished. Through Noah's authority, the universe now accepted Beelzebub as a being of light.

But the change for Noah was even more dramatic.

Usually, when Noah took on subordinates, he gained one percent of their strength. This time, because Beelzebub was a direct servant bound by a soul contract, Noah felt a staggering fifty percent of the demon's power flow into his own body.

His muscles did not grow larger, but his presence became dense. The power of a half-step Transcended being was no joke.

"I can't cultivate like a normal person," Noah thought, feeling the rush of energy. "But if I can gather more servants like this and help them break through their limits, I will become powerful in no time."

"I do not need to sit in a cave for a thousand years. I just need to build an empire of gods."

Along with the strength, Noah felt a new ability settle into his mind.

The Power of Gluttony.

He could now swallow and digest almost any form of matter or energy. However, since his body did not use traditional energy to level up, he could not use it to cultivate.

For now, it was simply a very efficient way to clean up a battlefield.

"Are there other demons like you?" Noah asked. "Other 'sins'?"

"There are seven royal families in the Lower Realm of the Abyss, my lord," Beelzebub replied. "We, the Seven Sin Demons, are the ancestors of those families."

"The other six plotted against me. They feared me because I had found a secret, a way to finally ascend to the Middle Realm."

"They threw me into the void to get rid of me."

Noah's smile was cold.

"I want them all. I want the other six to serve under me as well."

Beelzebub bowed his head.

"If you lead us, my lord, the Abyss will tremble."

"We will visit your Demon Realm after a while," Noah said. "For now, you need to recover. Go and cultivate. We will talk again when the time is right."

With a puff of smoke, Beelzebub transformed.

Instead of a towering monster, he became a small, sleek black cat with glowing crimson eyes. He curled up on a rug near Noah's desk and began to breathe in a rhythmic pattern.

He absorbed the ambient energy of the room to heal his body.

Noah turned his attention back to his own goals.

He had the strength. He had the army. He had the knowledge.

But to truly stand against the beings of the Middle and Upper Realms, he needed versatility.

He set his sights on the three thousand Laws of the Universe.

Fire. Water. Time. Space. Karma. Everything in between.

He wanted to understand them all.

For the next ten days, Noah remained in his room.

He spent every second in a deep state of meditation, his mind racing through the fabric of reality.

Outside, the world was changing.

Inside the room, time seemed to stand still.

The three thousand laws were like a massive puzzle. Most geniuses spent their entire lives trying to master just one.

Noah, however could comprehend laws while eating too.

His eye of the primordial and the cube of life was a cheat on their own.

Ten days passed in a flash.

On the tenth morning, Noah opened his eyes.

The air in the room hummed with a rainbow of colors as different laws flickered in and out of existence around him.

He stood up and stretched, feeling his joints pop.

"It's time," he whispered.

The ten days were up.

Now he would meet his 12 generals and hear the situation inside the realm of infinity.

Soon Noah felt the presence of the 12 generals.

"Aunt, how have you been? It's been a long time since we met.", Rudi said with a smile.

The others bowed to Martha and greeted her too. She was afterall the mother of their emperor.

"Oh, Rudi my child! You guys came out from there? How have you been? Look at you. How skinny you have become!Come, come, have some breads.", Martha said with a smile.

" Please give us some too, maam. We are skinny too. Supreme general is heavier than me.", Fiona said with a childish tone.

Rudi looked at Fiona with a smile which was not a smile.

Fiona felt a chill on her spine and ran beside Martha.

"Aunt, let me help you. I am good at everything I do." ,Fiona started serving breads with Martha.

The others were speechless when they saw how childish one of the generals of the empire was, who was the fiercest among them all in the battle field.
