My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls

Chapter 32: 32. Learning From Sara.

While Vivian hurried over to her meeting, Sara, Aster, and Lily remained in the Queen's bedroom.

Since the Queen had asked her to continue from where she had stopped, Sara didn't waste a second in carrying out the task assigned to her.

"Okay, I believe Her Majesty's history lesson stopped when she talked about how the First Great War came to an end, right?" Sara asked and Aster nodded in response.

"Yes, but what could have caused the Second Great War? Shouldn't everyone have lived their lives in peace, especially after everything that had happened in the first war?"

"Well, after the First Great War, everyone went back to their kingdoms and began to rebuild their cities once again. Although most races were unhappy with how the demons had made their primeval spirits to sacrifice themselves for their sake, many races couldn't do anything about it, because instigating another war was pointless and meaningless."

"Each race had suffered greatly during the first war, so starting a new one was out of the question because they barely had enough resources for their day-to-day lives, let alone another war. Also, their population had reduced greatly due to the last war."

"In the end, everyone agreed to sign a peace treaty, allowing them to live in peace for thousands of years."

"However, during this period, red mana particles began to spread throughout the world, mixing and blending themselves with the other mana particles that were already present in the angel, merfolk, and the elven continent."

"Within decades, other mana particles had blended seamlessly with the demon continent's normal mana, and this allowed a few demons to awaken affinities like wind, water, and even shadow magic."

Of course, the same thing happened in other continents as well, and each race spent their time and effort improving their understanding of these new powers.

Since their initial hatred and resentment about the first war were still burning bright within them, the elves, angels, beastmen, and merfolks found it hard to let go of what the demons did to them.

They had acted as though they had left the past behind them, but in reality, they had secretly been training warriors and conjurers in preparation for another war.

Of course, the demons had a hunch that the other races were devising a plan, so they also trained their strongest conjurers and warriors in preparation for the possible war.

But while all sides were slowly sharpening their swords in anticipation of the battle, none of them could have predicted that Gaia had noticed what they were doing, all the way from the cave she was secluded in.

Since she had abandoned the beastmen during the First Great War, many had expected Gaia to remain in solitude, hiding where no one could ever find her.

But Gaia grew angry, seeing how all the races were dead set on starting a Second Great War, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Months later, Magical beasts, Demonic beasts, and Spirit beasts appeared out of nowhere and began to rampage through the kingdoms of every continent, destroying houses and causing mayhem everywhere they went.

This forced the world leaders to deviate from their original war plans and instead focus on protecting their kingdoms.

However, what they didn't know was that these beasts were actually the least of their problems because whenever a scout was sent to check on an incoming stampede, each of these scouts would return wounded.

Every one of them always reported that they saw warriors rising back from the dead, as a resurrected Highborn Demon controlled them.

It turned out that Gaia had summoned the souls of the dead from the spirit realm to form an army.

Her legion of the undead was offered to Baal, a Highborn Demon who had been resurrected with the sole purpose of eradicating all races, then bringing them back to life. Because, this was the only way to rid everyone of their free will.

If all races were to become undead, Gaia would be able to easily put them under her control, and that meant no more mindless wars because everyone would have one simple thought, to obey her and never disobey her command.

Many world leaders were offered the chance to relinquish their thrones and join Gaia, but only a few remained firm on their stances.

So, Baal gathered the weak and abandoned nobles from each continent and offered them a chance to join his army.

This greatly increased the army of the undead and forced a few world leaders to reluctantly switch sides against the enemy.

A good example was the Vampire and Minotaur King.

Both of them were initially members of the Demon Lord Council, but to protect themselves and their families, they urged their race to switch sides and join Baal's army.

Their alliance enabled Baal and his legion to gain the upper hand in claiming many cities within the demon continent.

Many of Baal's Generals and Captains raided even the smaller towns and regions within the demon continent, including the small town of a young female dragon.

However, Vivian single-handedly defeated over thirty thousand undead warriors and prevented them from claiming her town as theirs.

With just a single gout of her flames and lava magic, Vivian turned the entire valley to glass, making the valley look completely unrecognizable.

Of course, her achievements didn't go unnoticed, and the elders did everything in their power to assist her in reclaiming the other two kingdoms, which had already fallen into the hands of Baal and his men.

Within months, a young Vivian had successfully reclaimed the two kingdoms and the elders officially appointed her as the ruler of one of the kingdoms.

She became the youngest dragon and, particularly, the youngest demon to rule as queen, and no one dared to question the decision of the elders.

Dragons were rare in the demon continent and most had been killed during the First Great War by Nehira's weapon, so the elders knew how special and important it was to still have the last and youngest dragon alive.

Her strength and talent far exceeded most of the other demons, so they urged other demon lords and world leaders to join forces so they could stop Baal.

At first, the other demon lords and world leaders were against helping a young demon to battle against Baal, because each of them already had more than enough problems on their table thanks to Baal's continuous raids on their lands.

However, the world leaders and demon lords were surprised and shocked to find out that ever since Vivian became the Queen of her kingdom, her people had never suffered casualties or mortalities.

Instead, more demons relocated to the Kingdom of House Gremory, and still, the mortality rate remained zero.

This was proof of how strong Vivian and her legion of Pumpkin warriors were.

It was simply unheard of to think that a little dragon could command thousands of Familiars to ward off Baal's army, because only the Angels and harpies had been able to successfully go against Baal's men, and even they still had a death rate, even if it was low.

In the end, all the other demon lords and world leaders had to join forces with the Dragon Queen hoping to defeat Baal and his men.

It was the first time all sides had ever formed an alliance to fight against a common enemy, and they were able to successfully push back Baal's army before sealing him and his generals for good.

Thus, with no one to command Baal's army anymore, every single one of them was easily gotten rid of.

However, since Gaia had remained hidden, no one could really locate her, and it was difficult to know if she would resurrect a new set of undead army or not.

But since all the races finally put their past behind them and began living in peace and harmony, Gaia restrained herself from causing a Third Great War.

"And that's how the Second Great War came to an end."
